ThreadDJMAX Respect (PS4) GOAT Rythm Game. First time on sale, PS+ Extra Discount ($34.99/$19.99)
Imported this back when it first game out in Asia. Love it. Been a longtime fan of the DJ MAX games. But, for some reason, can never get my TV to sync to the point where it feels tight, so my timing ends up being off on every single note.
Well, got my 5 Broken Hearts rewards, one of which is the Terminal Polyaimourous with a crazy roll for a Siren (after Phasecast 250% weapon damage). I'm bummed I don't play Siren!
Agreed on the Deathless/Bloodletter build. I'm running Mayhem 4 solo with my Moze build. You just need the right weapons with the right rolls. Transformer is a great shield for this build if you're taking on lots of shock damage dealing enemies, but I tend to go with any purple shield I can find with a capacity over 13,000 (I've yet to find a Transformer with a capacity more than around 11,500). I use an anointed Dastardly Maggie and a shock infused Cutsman exclusively. My shield totals are around 55,000.
Oh man.
Go to the Cistern of Slaughter. Flip the switch to start the first round. Immediately turn around, run towards the back wall, jump up on a little ledge and step into the corner of it. The game bugs out and counts doing that as having completed the entirety of the Circle and spawns a red chest on the other side of the area. Run back to the switch, flip it again, repeat, and it'll spawn another chest, which glitches and overlays on the one that's already there. Do this endlessly, although around 40 chests the game starts to freak out. Seems like there's a dedicated loot pool for that particular chest, but the Maggie is included in it if you're looking for something good.
Once you open the chest(s), you have to exit out of the game and load back into the Cistern to keep doing it again...and again...
I'm knee deep in the Cistern of Slaughter red chest glitch. Getting around 100+ legendaries every 15 minutes (although 90% are things I don't want/need). By far the easier and fastest cheese to get Legendaries until they patch it.

Haha, I hate this game sometimes. Farmed Traunt for like an hour hoping to get a better roll on my Maggie. Got one to drop. Had the exact same stats as the one I already have. Ughhhhhhhh.
I'm still getting killed on his last form. The stupid part that flies around and just pummels you with rockets is giving me a headache. But, I FINALLY got my Shock Cutsman, which is making all the previous phases much, much easier.
But, running into a weird bug. I'm running a Deathless/Desperate Measures build. I have an artifact that imbues my slides with fire. If I ever slide, though, the moment I stop I got into FFYL, as if the fire is somehow hitting me and killing my 1HP.
Man, same boat. I farmed him for three hours and didn't get a Cutsman. And, I probably only got 2 Legendaries out of it. Just went back to farming El Dragon Jr and Graveward. Sigh.
Bummer. Hope you're able to get one soon.
FYI, I did this awhile back when the game first game out but I'm putting together a Google Sheet to list all of my Legendaries that I have available to trade for or for free. I'll post a link once it's complete (I got a looooooooooot to pull in the list).
Ah, I guess that makes sense. May just bump back down to Normal and go M4 then. I'm really happy to have finally found what I think is a good build that fits my play style. Before, couldn't get through 2 rounds of Slaughterstar 3000 or the first area of the Takedown. Now, can easily solo SS3K and am going up against Wotan. My Deathless and The Duc/Juliet's Dazzle combo is destroying everything I come across. But, I'm still farming to get a Cutsman since I've heard it can help in the Wotan fight.
What anointment are you looking to get? I may have an extra Lucian's Call in my Bank. I'm on Xbox One, FYI.
Also, man, the loot drop rates in this game are all kinds of messed up. Farming Graveward. Fight him three times. First two times he doesn't drop any Legendaries. Third time, he drops 7. All crap Legendaries, but still...
I only farmed him to get his achievement. It was mind numbing. It probably took me 30 tries before he even showed up and I don’t think he even has any unique drops.
So, is there any real benefit in playing TVHM? I finished off all my achievements, so right now I'm playing TVHM at Mayhem 3. For loot and such, should I just play Normal mode on M3/4, or am I getting any benefit from TVHM?
On PS4, I played through probably 75% of the game with no audio thanks to some random bug. My biggest annoyance was how enemies would/still get stuck in walls in the Circles of Slaughter. Have had 20+ instances of getting to the last round/wave of each only to find some random enemy clipped through a wall so we can't finish it.
ThreadAmerica’s obsession with guns ceases to amaze (scare) me
A large number of gun owners I know here in the US are into guns mainly because they can be into guns, if that makes sense. It's like a sort of "use it or lose it" mentality, which I totally don't understand. Also, a good chunk of them are trolls. They know how unnecessary most, if not all, guns are, but they cling to the 2nd Amendment just to piss off anti-gun people they know. It's a total mess.
Ah, true, forgot about the lost loot machine. I rarely pick up any loot, though, so those legendaries are probably lost to the ether.
Yeah, before today I could barely get through the first two rounds solo. So, feels good to finally check it off my list. It was my last side mission, so I polished off those achievements. Just had a dude from Mexico jump into my game and he let me beat him in a duel, so I've officially polished off all the achievements. I guess it's on to TVHM.
Just finished farming him like a minute ago. About 60 attempts. He appeared every single time. That weird? Got around 15 Enter the Dragons, 10 various types of Stop Gaps, and 2 Stormfronts.
My absolute prize today, though, was getting a Juliet's Dazzle from a golden key use. It's just become my go-to weapon.
Ehhhhhh...not sure I have that in me. Just re-spec'd to using a Deathless to take advantage of Desparate Measures. Curious to see how it helps with my damage output.
Anyone on Xbox One willing to help me out with one super quick thing? I need to win a single duel and then I've 1K'd the game. Anyone?
Honestly, I was never able to beat Slaughterhouse 3000, and after my re-spec I just ran through it like a hot knife through butter. Used two guns - The Duc and Juliet's Dazzle. Tore through literally everything. Not sure if it was a bug, but the two bosses at the end each dropped a Legendary, but each on a platform I couldn't even reach. Really lame.
Ahhhhh...well then. I guess I misinterpreted what "rare enemy" locations were. LOL.
Also turns out I already had a Stomrfront tucked away in my Bank. Sigh.
Brings back memories. Grew up in Alaska. I remember two week stretches where it was -50 or more for two straight weeks. 10 years there and only saw school canceled twice because of the weather. Once saw -70. No fun.
Anyone down to tackle Slaughterstar 3000? It’s my last side quest to complete and I can’t finish it solo and I always get matched with player that are level 5-15. DM if you’re willing to help.
Is the whole Maliwan Takedown scaling also coming with a Rare Enemy drop rate increase? Trying to farm for a Stormfront from El Dragon. Jr. Read that it's a rare spawn. Tried six times and he spawned each time. Dropped one Enter the Dragon and three Stop Gaps. This can't be right...
ThreadResetEra Games of the Year 2019 - Voting Thread (READ THE OP) [Ends Jan 26th 8:59am EST]
1. Dragon Quest Builders 2 - take everything fun about the first game, fix all the problems it had, add a fun story, exponentially expand the building options and you get this gem. The replayability is through the roof. Gameplay is as complex as you want it to be. Build a sprawling estate or just mess around. So much fun even my 8-year old daughter can pick it up and fall in love with it.
2. Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition - another example of taking a game and making it better in almost every way. Plus, the ability to play through the entire game in old-school 2D pixels is genius and a lot of fun.
3. Resident Evil 2 - the perfect example of how to take inspiration from the past and update it for a new generation of players. Tense, immersive and surprisingly deep. Can't wait for the remake of RE3.
4. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - I'm a huge Dark Souls fan, but really appreciate how From didn't stick to that formula and let Sekiro have an identity all its own. Extremely challenging, but fair, and there's no better feeling than finally getting past that one boss after your 50th try. Not for everyone, sure, but behind the challenge is a truly rewarding experience.
5. Rage 2 - shoot, shoot, shoot. There's a lot to not like in Rage 2, but the gunplay and action hooked me from the start. It's a visually impressive world, albeit also a bit too empty. But, that's all easy to overlook when you're unloading round after round into everything that moves.
6. Ring Fit Adventure - such charming gameplay that takes the whole exercise genre to a whole new level. It's engaging and encouraging, a rare combo, at least in my opinion.
7. Deemo-Reborn - weird, ethereal, addictive, and profoundly touching. Combine that with the huge selection of great music and you've got probably one of the best music games out there.
8. Borderlands 3 - the game has a lot of problems - multiplayer matchmaking, overall stability, awful story. But the guns! It's just too much fun blowing stuff up, setting things on fire, etc. Even despite its flaws I'm still playing months after release.
10. New Super Lucky Tales - this is platforming at its finest.
Bah, I won't be able to play until next week, but I'll hit you up then. Finally got the dumb target practice achievement, leaving me with only having to win a duel and finish off all the side quests. Ughhhhhhh, so close.
Also, damn, the bugs in this game are still driving me crazy. Had both Cistern of Slaughter and Slaughterstar 3000 glitch out during the last wave/round right before completion.
Also, really dug The Handsome Jackpot. Managed to polish off everything and get all the achievements. Overall, great length, I thought. I was disappointed, though, with the Legendary drop rates and variety. I probably got around 20 total drops my entire playthrough with 80% of them being class mods and 75% of those being for a class I wasn't. Also, Heart of Gold is my new favorite quest.
ThreadWhat do you think of Paddington and the Paddington Movies?
They're both gold. I remember seeing the trailer for the first one and cringing. It looked like the typical awful CG kids movie. But my daughter kept bugging me to rent it, so I did, and was absolutely happy watching it. The second is stellar, too.

Literally nothing about how low Trump can go surprises me anymore. I would have thought "insulting a child" would at least get an eyebrow raise from me, but alas, it hasn't. I just don't understand how anyone can defend this kind of behavior.
I agree the action was a let down compared to New Order. But I found the story and voice acting to be superb. The amount of personality they put into each character is incredible. If you haven't ever done it before, just wander around the U-Boat and listen in on the conversations NPCs have.

This. I'm hoping to at least beat the large majority of PS4 games in my backlog. I don't think I'll have the time or energy to Platinum them, but I at least want to get through them.
ThreadTrophy & Achievement Community |OT| Unlocked
I've been primarily an exclusive Xbox gamer for the past 10 years+. But, I'm happy to say that I just got my second PS4 Platinum trophy, for Ni No Kuni 2. I've seen lots of complaints about it, but in the end, I really enjoyed it. Gonna hop into Dragon Quest and Spider-Man next.
That said, got a long way to catch up to my 138K Xbox Gamerscore. :\
ThreadI really hate to say it but... Fallout 4 is better than The Outer Worlds
Agreed. Fallout 4, with all its flaws, at least was a vast and interesting world with things to discover.
The lack of actually discovering anything is what killed TOW for me. It's a pretty, shiny game, sure. But...
1. The world is devoid of actual exploration. It's nothing more than small environments with little to actually interact with or discover. The promise of Fallout in space...yeah, not so much.
2. The companions are fun, but their "quests" and perks" are so completely underwhelming. Eventually, I stopped even picking perks for them because they were so useless. Parvati, such a cool character, too, but they totally blew it on her "quest," and I use that term in the absolutely loosest sense.
3. Boring weapons, boring perks. Combat felt like a chore and never exciting.
4. Being good or bad never resulted in anything. True, Fallout 4 suffered from the same issue.
ThreadThe Game Awards 2019 - All Nominees Revealed
PS4 version came out in November of 2018. I could honestly care less, though. It's a fun game and all. But just seems odd that 2018 games are on the list.
ThreadThe Game Awards 2019 - All Nominees Revealed
I guess that makes even less sense to me, but whatever. As far as mobile games go, would be nice to have more games on there that are exclusively mobile. I love me some Sayonara Wild Hearts, but I would never really consider that a mobile title.
I just don't see how even the concept of having your games on your mobile device is really going to be a service seller. The minority of gamers, sure, will want to shell out $60 for a game they probably already own so they can have it on their phone/etc. But the large majority of phone gamers out there seem to be only concerned that their phone has a good camera and little else. A $60 game compared to a F2P match-3 is going to be the hardest of sells.
ThreadWhat’s your favorite game to simply fuck around in and ignore the objective
Fallout, all the way. My typical New Vegas loop was go out exploring, loot weapons, repair them, sell them, go back out and loot more. I could do that for hours and never get bored.
Genesis game. It was a sort of turn-based RPG/strategy game, but instead of having characters you had basically different units - dragons, soldiers, magicians. Each group of units had a number in the corner of it showing you how many of that particular unit you had remaining. You could move them around spots on a battlefield, a limited number of spaces per turn.
ThreadAn Onimusha Remaster came out one year ago, and nobody has talked about it.
Got it day 1. I'm a huge fan of the series, including Tactics and Blade Warriors (despite their many, many flaws). The asking price at launch, I guess, was a lot to ask for a game that really got no sort of upgrade outside of a mediocre visual bump. I remember, though, seeing quite a few sites posting reviews when it came out.
PS - there have been 8 Onimusha games.
This happened to me and a group on Cistern of Slaughter. Last round, last wave, last enemy...and it got stuck in a wall and we had no way of getting to it...
Whelp, due to some bugged side missions, just wiped my TVHM playthrough and so I can go through and get every single side mission again.
If anyone on PS4 is feeling like a saint and has yet to do the Kevin Konundrum and Baby Dancer Claptrap quests, please hit me up so I can piggyback on them. They're my last two missions for the side mission trophy. :\
Right now, my Moze is toting around a 30,000 shield, built around melting everything in sight with ridiculous splash damage. I did a respec awhile back, too, and it completely changed the way I play.
Once you start getting toward end-game (and beyond), the mech is worthless. So don't worry about ignoring it. When I play Mayhem or TVHM, I only use it if I get in dire straits and need some time for my shields to recharge.
1. What platform?
2. What characters you playing?
3. What level are you?
I've got a ton of Legendaries I'm giving away, so I may have some stuff you need. PS - I'm on PS4.
So, really annoyed. Need two side missions - The Kevin Kondundrum and Baby Dancer. On my regular character, The Kevin Kondundrum doesn't even appear as a possible mission anymore. So, I assume I've missed it and am screwed. I've completed it on my TVHM character, but in order to get the "beat all the side missions" trophy, am I literally going to have to complete every side mission again in that playthrough?
My main weapon now is a 130% cryo Night Hawkin. Shields, armor, whatever - it's all destroyed in seconds. Playing on TVHM and literally, nothing can stand up to it.
Anyone here on PS4 and looking to do some Circles of Slaughter tonight? I need to complete two of them (apparently, somehow, already completed Slaughterstar 3000). If so, DM me. I need to get these last few missions checked off my list!
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but 2K upped the drop rates for certain bosses this week for the 10th Anniversary of Borderlands. List of applicable bosses and Legendaries.
My perfect Moze combo so far.
1. Arctic Relentless Night Hawkin - 126% cryo efficiency
2. Snowdrift Rocket Boots - 73% bonus cryo damage
3. Molly Gains Mind Sweeper - 25% chance to drop a micro grenade on critical hit
4. Maxed out splash/elemental damage skill tree
I'm running through TVHM now and there's basically no challenge now. Enemies just melt/freeze/corrode in a second. It at least makes going through all this story stuff again tolerable.
Is there an official RE thread for matching up folks for co-op? I've got two Circles of Slaughter left to do, but so far rando matches online have just been folks playing for like 5 mins and then quitting out.
Well crap. Looks like I'm missing two Claptrack side missions that were supposedly not missable..but are totally missable. Guess I'll have to crank them out in TVHM.
Is there any way to see how many side missions I've done vs. how many are still left to do, other than manually scroll and cross-reference the completed quests in the menu?
Everyone here grinding away for Legendaries and all I want is a freaking Atlas weapon to finish off that stupid "get 100 kills each with gun manufacturer" trophy. For the life of me, can't find a single Atlas.
Anyone else not getting the "Master of All You Survey" trophy (the one for discovering all names locations across all the planets)?
I've hit every single location, which is apparently 223. Oddly enough, I have the location related trophies for all the planets. I've visited every trial and every circle of slaughter, too.
Ugh, of course. Thanks. Was just thrown off and was expecting a mission prompt or something.
And LOL. So apparently my game bugged out and I can't get Claptrap's last mission because a previous mission in that chain never appeared as an option to do (The Kevin Konundrum). Damn this game.
Question about the dead Claptrap quest. I've gone through and 100% found every single one in the game. Is there supposed to be a quest or something that pops up once I have them all? I heard that the last part of that quests is what's needed to 100% a map on Pandora...or something.
That's the one. The last jump, onto some buggy, collision challenged pipe was the thing that kept getting me. Just slippery, so I'd always fall off the side and down that cliff.
Geez, post-patch and I've starting getting my first crashes in Circles of Slaughter and Trials. Three matches in a row now just crashed out the main menu. Ugh.
Ok, maybe I'm missing something. Deliver 5 burgers to a bunch of spots around the map. You have 10 minutes to do it. You get a bonus if you have 9 minutes remaining?! How is that even possible?
Some of the ledge gymnastics needed to get to those out of reach Typhon Logs/etc is just infuriating. Gearbox, never make a platformer, you are awful. One in the Anvil that's literally miss a jump and you fall off a cliff to your death.
I love being in FFYL, crawling on all fours, blinded by corrosive, burning from fire, and all at a snail's pace because I've been cryo'd. Also, screaming every single second of it.
I usually play with the sound off just to negate that issue.
I really, really wish they would fix the map bug (at least on PS4), where if you load the map and zoom and move at the same time, it rips the cursor over to either a fast travel station or some random spot on the map. It makes quick navigation really, really annoying.
This. The baadd rocket launcher enemies are not only pinpoint accurate, they spam those rockets like nobody's business. On Mayhem+, this is really, really annoying, especially if they're using any sort of element. My screen is just fire/ice/corrosive effects so I can't even see anything.
Me: Never used a shotgun from levels 1-49.
Also me: Finds a Subsidized Host that destroys everything, EVERYTHING, that I shoot it at.
Pretty fun, actually, suddenly changing up my playstyle.
Ugh, so many little bugs. Went into FFYL. The moment I did, I reloaded. Assault rifle with 16 rounds. Fired off two shots and suddenly my clip is empty again.
Whoa, just had some of my skills that I had unlocked revert back to not being unlocked. That's a first.
They need to patch the Anointed ted Militant right out of the game. What a horrible, horrible enemy.
Ugh, TVHM. I'm level 45 and just trying to max out at 50 and get some fun loot. But man, maybe it's just me, but elemental damage and resistance just seem completely out of whack (mainly with corrosive). I can take down shields super easy, but anything with armor just ends up being a ridiculous bullet sponge. It shouldn't take me 4 full clips from a corrosive SMG to take down one armor bar...
Any help is appreciated. I'm going through each level now cleaning up Typhon Logs, Dead Claptraps, etc. I'm playing through Athenas and am stuck on 97% complete. Found a map online and I've found/gotten every single thing in that level. Is there some weird obscure thing I'm missing?
The only really useful Legendary I've gotten was the Extreme Hangin' Chad. When it dropped it was level 12. I used that thing until I was around level 32. The fire elemental damage on that thing is ridiculous. Paired with some of Moze's skills it was an absolute beast.
Anyone else on PS4 run into, what I assume, are these bugs?
1. When I use a Fast Travel system, when the map loads, if I hit any button or analog stick, the cursor erratically jumps to another Fast Travel point on the map.
2. When looking at maps or areas to travel to via Fast Travel, side mission icons appear on the map, even when there are no side missions found there.
So, beat the game last night solo, level 40. Gonna jump into Mayhem and such. Still not thrilled with the loot drop rates (didn't get a single Legendary from the final boss fight). Have one question, though.
Is there any easy way to track in-game the side missions I've completed, rather than scrolling through the big ol' list of completed missions? Also, any way to check out how many kills I've gotten per gun manufacturer?

Star Wars Battlefront 3 (PSP) - Have a bit of an oddity. A PSP dev UMD of Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron, back when it was actually being developed as a PSP version of Battlefront 3. Limbo of the Lost (PC) - Another weird one. Awhile back there was a game on PC called Limbo of the Lost, a not so great puzzle/adventure game. Turns out the developers stole a ton of content, including entire scenes, from other games and even movies. Game was recalled and pulled from store shelves. A handful of the US version still made it out. I have the US version. Never installed or played. Box has some slight wear. eBay prices are around $100, but willing to sell to someone here if they're that kind of collector (weird and random oddities). $75 or OBO, shipped. Paypal F&F.

I wanna sell it, but can't seem to find any info out there on how much it's potentially worth. I've checked eBay current and completed sales, as well as a few other websites. Kinda stumped...

Pokemon/Pikachu 3DS or 2DS - my kid is getting super into Pokemon and this would be a great entry level console for her. Must be in excellent condition, but don't need the original box or manual/inserts.
Digital movie download codes - do they still do iTunes Digital download codes? If so, I'd like those. Sci-fi and martial arts flicks, preferably.
Celeste download code for Switch.
Probably one of my biggest disappointments with the game so far. There's so much potential with all of the companions, and each of their specific questlines feels so superficial.
Well, just about to leave Monarch and my thoughts so far:
The game is such a bewildering mix of good and bad (for me).
1. Wow, I'm in space, with seemingly endless new worlds to explore > actually, no, the game is sectioned off into small areas and there's no real sense of scale or sense of wonder or curiosity when it comes to exploration.
2. Companions are awesome, with deep personalities, voice acting, and back-stories > but...we're not going to really give you the opportunity to take those stories in any meaningful or deep direction.
3. Combat is fun, gun elements mix up combat, mods and tinkering give you some fun to customize > there are only a handful of weapon types and besides the elements, they're not very interesting to use other than the handful of Science weapons.
4. Leveling up and perks are lame and boring, for you and your companions.
5. Hilarious dialogue and voice acting. The Martin conversation was incredible. Really can't say anything bad about these features.
