Playing as Riku in a game that is not CoM is G R E A T, have they confirmed if he'll be playable in KHIII or did I imagine that?

My copy isn't here yet so I'm basing this all on the OG lol. The sidequests in part one are typically the less tedious of the 2 halves and often a good source of money, which enemies don't drop. Bear in mind that you will need to purchase multiple weapons at some point if going for any ending after B, so at least try to do a few of the easier ones. If it seems like it's too out of the way or requires a rare enemy drop it's probably safe to skip. In terms of the side stories I would recommend any quests to do with the Lighthouse lady. Sidequests that reward weapons are: Damaged Map, Disturbing the Sleep of Kings, and Magical Stone. Even if you skip all others, definitely do these 3 as soon as they're available. And break boxes. If you're going for every ending, you'll get A and B naturally. But save before the point of no return in your next playthrough, continue through the finale, pick option 1 when prompted for ending C and save in a new slot. Then you can reload the earlier save and go on to pick the 2nd option for ending D which should save a couple hours.

Seconding TGC, they use royal mail 24 hour delivery, so even in the case they can only post the day before the game comes out, my preorders from them have always arrived on release morning at the latest, including KH3 last year.

I had a shit experience with pre-ordering KH3 from ShopTo. They charged me instantly (paypal), not an issue though since I knew they do that and the game came out only a week or so later, I was committed to my order at that point. The shipment day arrives and I get like 3 emails in a row from them saying they "failed to process" my order and demanding I give them credit card details so they can charge me again. I had already paid upfront using paypal and had the invoice to prove it was a successful transaction with the money gone from my balance. I waited hours for no response from their customer service and eventually cancelled my preorder and took it elsewhere. I suggest you check your ShopTo account balance, because it probably auto-refunded your money to that instead of to your original payment method. That's where my money went... which also proves that they did receive my payment and were bullshitting me. I used it to put in my final ShopTo order 'cause I'm never using them again. They are rarely the cheapest option anymore, anyway.

It was one guy on twitter who got ratio'd by people mostly dunking on him saying she looks great and he's crazy. But one dude = all Japan now"the east" ........ in a year when anti-Asian sentiment and hate crimes are rising everywhere, coming to a thread that's supposed to be welcoming and still having to see dehumanising shit like this makes me sick. and I say all this knowing I'll also be met with dismissal over it. I can't find any source backing up your sales claims and some even contradict you. Nintendo did not release numbers for outside of Japan. It would appear SS sold slightly better in Japan in 1 day than it did in it's first month in the US. After that I stopped searching, old sales data is difficult to obtain and vgchartz is notoriously unreliable. Point is: do you think when they're developing a new entry and - assuming - they are keeping the west in mind, they're going back and looking at the sales data for a 16 year old Gamecube game that did decently, or the 2M+ selling juggernaut? Awakening's success has had a direct effect on every FE title after it, including the skeevy mobile game which is by far the FE title of all time worldwide with the US being it's 2nd biggest market of paid players. (than the ones without fanservice - implied) The series reached heights it never had before they introduced heavy fanservice. The (xenophobic tbqh) idea that the west is this progressive beacon "dragging" Japan into better designs is nonsense and it has been proven multiple times with FE that the west has bought the fanservice titles in larger numbers than those titles that do not rely on those elements.

We can credit FE'S popularity in the west with the 6 years of trash that immediately followed: waifu bait Fates... which sold like hotcakes. Echoes was restrained by comparison, and had a more successful launch in Japan than the west. The mobile game, the less said the better. Bikini DLC. Gamers rising up because a petting mechanic was changed to face tapping. 3H took the series in a more positive direction because it was clearly made with an eye on catering more to women in general. The fanservice-heavy FE titles have historically been the ones that sell better outside of Japan.

I don't equate defeating a bunch of enemies to being a character that has actual weight and agency within that world (the keyblade can be used to seal worlds to protect them, as much as it is a weapon.) Axel didn't get much to 'do' in III if your idea of being important is winning a fight, but he had some narrative heft in both KH2 and 358/2. Same goes for the BBS crew in their respective game and Aqua in her playable prologue. It's not only about wanting to see Kairi kick ass, though it wouldn't be unwelcome, she's been sidelined narratively since KH2 despite being the de facto heroine of the series and she feels underdeveloped compared to Riku and Sora.

I want both for Kairi. I consider Riku as the bar in terms of having flashy fights and narrative importance that ideally I'd like Kairi to meet. Most fall short of him tbh, but hell is she even on Donald Duck's level? :/ With the 358+BBS trios main conflicts being resolved and they're all reunited now, I fear they'll reduce Aqua and Xion's roles from now on. So I guess I'm more critical that they once again decided to do nothing with Kairi story-wise except damsel her, because I saw this as their chance to finally bring her fully into a role of her own. She doesn't have to be the strongest in the room to be important but it's like her keyblade is almost a decoration in either way it can be used, she's not established as peace-keeper nor ass-kicker. We're only here to suffer

If she likes Toy Story, Star Wars, Mickey&co, Marvel, Frozen, Zootopia, etc. check out the Disney Infinity line. They're typically about the same size/detail as an amiibo. Except the crystal figures which are hideous and overpriced, they're well designed and can be used in the games (3.0 is the best one by far and has local co op.) The popular ones like Elsa are probably getting up in price now, but there's always ebay lol @ cameltoe being right above my wholesome post........

I'm a latecomer to the Vita, only got mine this January 'cause the price was off-putting. Checking new eBay UK listings every 1-2 days paid off after several weeks, and I managed to get a lightly used OLED model with 5 games + 8GB card for £150, I ended up making back around £50 by selling 3 of the games that I didn't want. It was tough to justify even though I felt like I got a decent deal, 'cause of the memory upgrade costs, but it's a great little machine and I've gotten loads of enjoyment out of it already. There's a solid 20-30 games on the system I was interested in, though, if you're only looking to play a handful of games I'd have a hard time recommending it, tbh.

Squall is a good boy and never did anything wrong I found the junctions really clutch for the endgame since the quicker you can take Ultimecia down the easier it is imo. If it starts to drag on it can be hard to come back from her worst attacks. Squall has really good hit accuracy and strength, you can make him even more useful by junctioning a powerful magic like Tornado or Ultima to his strength stat, and casting Aura on him so his limit break is available even at full health (feels like I'm cheesing the system but sometimes you just gotta.) Casting Meltdown on the enemy can do extra damage, though I can't remember if that works on Ultimecia rn. Good luck if you decide to give it another shot! The ending is worth it to me, but you might feel differently if you weren't already having a good time with the game.

There's little justification for max levelling everything, which is about the only thing left to do for long-time players until we get a new area, and also content where powerful characters are vital is sparse. I don't think it's even the same people saying those 2 things, so it's a silly talking point. These kinds of events will always highlight the haves vs have nots in terms of characters and gear.

Fantastic Baby was the juggernaut single, but Bad Boy was my fav from the record and it was even better live. Whole place went absolutely nuts for GD's solo performance, too. I would've loved Hux as main villain in TROS. I don't think him having comic relief moments in any way undermines his viciousness or competence in causing ills in the world, like you said just look at real life politicians who are regarded as idiots but still wield massive amounts of power in terrible ways. Tilda Swinton talked about the idea of a dictator/clown regarding her approach to Snowpiercer - her character, Mason, was originally written as a kind of mild-mannered male politician until she brought more comedic elements in (timestamped, stop watching at 2:33 if sensitive to Snowpiercer spoilers)

I think GG/TFM/male-dominated hate movements have sometimes adopted antis methods of framing their posts as moral concerns (when it suits them.) 'SadGeorgeLucas1' a TFM figure was the #1 most frequent tweeter in the 3 day period covered in the article. They sometimes employed the same kind of language (incel, abuse, etc) as drhorowitzfine, another frequent tweeter and finnrey shipper. The lines are increasingly blurring, and when the outcome is people being doxxed and harming themselves, I don't think it matters much whether the perpetrator was a young woman who thinks abuse is the solution to seeing material that makes her uncomfortable, or a man who thinks abuse is the solution to struggling with the fact that women are increasingly partaking in previously male-dominated spaces. Both groups use each other to attain the same end result: the 'undesirable' group is removed from fandom spaces.

After all, he was groomed and abused by Snoke/Palpatine as a child, but men are rarely regarded as the victim... this regularly manifests in conversations about female characters, however. A whole generation of middle-aged men, once boys who idolised Vader, just about creamed their undies at the violent fanservice scene in Rogue One - not a peep, in fact it was celebrated. This bullshit is old as time, men used to attempt to regulate and ban women and girls from reading early works of published fiction due to the fear it would teach them the "wrong" (read: undesirable) way to be a woman in relation . It is literally fucking harmless, a generation of girls loving Beauty and the Beast or whatever is not the cause of domestic abuse and violence today. Media is not an entirety of a child's education. On the comparatively rare occasion that male-targeted works come under similarly midguided accusations - video games cause violence, Joker movie will inspire shootings, etc - they are widely ridiculed for the absurd puritanical nonsense it is. As a woman, this shit is tiring and insulting.

"No one's ever really gone" aren't just pretty words, it's an important line that was explicitly about Ben Solo. This notion of Leia replacing her son for another, gooder 'purer' man being a natural conclusion of events or even what was going through her mind is lowkey creepy to me. You can't just discard your own child like a broken toy. Unless the view is that Leia was a shitty parent to the end, I guess. Poe's arc was never about needing or wanting a new mother figure, either. Growing into the role Leia held as Resistance leader = becoming so to speak, not becoming her son (are women just mothers or something...) The Resistance itself was just as much Leia's baby as her actual kid (and ended up being the 'kid' she spent more time on.) And if we're bringing ancillary material into it with the Shara Bey stuff, as a child Ben wanted to be a pilot of the Falcon like his dad, so if things were different and he got his way he was never truly in line to inherit Leia's role as Resistance leader anyway lol

All those points (besides being old) are true of me, but anyone who's ever looked up 'classic adventure games' or 'best adventure games' (or even LucasArts in general) will find DotT as one of the top 5 that always comes up. It's on sale frequently on PSN and was even on PS+ in the last couple years and that's how I played it.
