Actually it started when Rogue and Magneto were on the Savage Land. That's why Rogue is the one to confront Magento in X-Men #1. Then them being married with a child in the Age of Apocalypse. Then Joseph stuff.

Thread Starting to really hit me - MCU has set themselves up for the next 50+ years (if they want it)
We might get a Wolverine series happen. That the only one I see working as stand alone. Because the truth is much like the Fantastic Four, the X-Men are a team first. Avengers builds to that team up because in the comics they were all individual characters that became a team due to circumstance. The X-Men were recruited by Xavier and pulled together to be trained as a team first. The threats were to come later. Just like I don't expect a Reed Richards Disney+ series I don't expect the individual X-Men to get their own shows until they are pulled together and established.

Thread Where did Steve Rogers come from at the end of Endgame?
By the rules of time travel stated in the movie, you cannot change the past, because the past becomes your future, and your old present becomes your past, which cannot changed by your new future. Nebula who is from an more technologically advanced area of the galaxy agrees with this. Even Thanos wasn't planning on going back to his original time to use the stones instead he was going to use the stones gathered for him now. Because even though it's technically the future, it's his present. The movie also establishes that the quantum GPS Tony built can be reprogrammed on the fly. Cap and Tony use it to change going back, to get more Pym Particles and the Tesseract at the same time. Steve when he goes back to "clip the branches" he is using the exact same tech, just smaller. The scene is shaped around that he's already decided to go to Peggy. Falcon and Winter Soldier show flat out says that Bucky and Steve discussed it all. And their goodbyes in Endgame shows two friends who know this is it for them. Despite Hulk saving it will be seconds for them, as long as he needs for him. He returns the stones (head canon is that he punches Red Skull for good measure) and when it's time he reprograms the Quantum GPS to go back after he was iced and lived his life with Peggy, in the alternate timeline he created. When he was old, and probably after Peggy died, he hit the reset with an alternate location of the lake. The writers can say whatever they want. But what they wrote does not allow him to have been in the MCU time line the entire time. Time travel as they wrote and defined it, doesn't work that way. So he lived his life with Peggy in his new timeline and came back and passed on the mantle because he knew the MCU world still needed a Captain America.

Thread Lore Olympus | This ain't Your Hellenistic Era's Greek Gods
Lore Olympus is a webcomic, currently up on Webtoons, written and illustrated by Rachel Smythe. And it is amazing! Since the only other thread about it hasn't been responded to since October of last year and Season 2 just started up I decided to make it an OT! The Greek Gods are real and Olympus and the Underworld are much more like our modern world than you would expect. The Gods, nymphs and other mythological creatures walk around wearing modern fashion, using modern technology and the realm itself has business and corporation likened to our current modern Era. Due to a prank performed by Goddess Aphrodite on the newest Goddess on Olympus, Persephone, Persephone finds herself in the presence of Hades, God and CEO of the Underworld. What follows in a whirlwind of Greek Mythology told through a modern lense. A story of disappointments, heartbreak, romance, family and obligations. Lore Olympus does deal with sexual assault, both the act itself and the psychological after effects. It also contains stories of emotional abuse by both family members and partners. Each issue that deals with them are clearly marked and even state when the content begins in the issue itself so you can skip over it. (Not Actually but I couldn't help but call the cast this. Also not the entire cast but more the major players who have the most effect on the story) God and CEO of the Underworld and one of the two main protagonists. He is feared and looked down on because of his role in the Pantheon, though in reality he is rather gentle. Also dedicated Dog Poppa. Goddess of the Spring and the newest arrival to Olympus. She was raised in the Mortal Realm by her mother Demeter. As a result she is rather sheltered and naive. She didn't even own a phone until given one by... Goddess of the Hunt and Persephone's housemate. She agreed to take care of and protect Persephone while she stays in Olympus. Sister of Apollo and friend of Hermes. She has a wicked temper and has an extreme dislike of Hades. God of Love and Sex. A charming, happy and mostly kind person. However, due to a perceived slight on his mother Aphrodite, he is complicit in the prank that starts off the story. Could also be considered the God of Social Media. Goddess of Love and Beauty. She has a rather fiery temper and is very harsh on those she dislikes. She pulled a prank on Persephone due to the perceived slight at a party done by another. Stay on her good side. God of the Sky and King of the Gods. Younger brother of Hades As King of the Gods he demands attention whenever he wants it. Well know for his open secret of sneaking to the mortal world to have extramarital affairs. His advice is always selfish, either towards what he wants or what he would want. Hades's executive assistant and lover. A river nymph who seems to be using Hades for his status and possibility of being uplifted past her current position and into Godhood. Her story... is a journey. God of the sun, light, oracles, knowledge, healing, diseases, music, poetry, songs, dance, archery, herds and flocks, prophecy, etc. Serious pick a major already! Twin brother of Artemis. I can't say much about this character because of spoilers. Seriously if I say what I want to say it would give things away. If you like the series consider supporting Rachel Smythe on her Patreon.

Funny Enough his Les Mis review(based on the movie,) was a musical that had Linkara make a good point in song, let Kyle Kallgren sing a good point, and let Paw Dugan sing song that was a in joke about his wife. But then the Brental Floss had to sing a parody of Russell Crow, AFTER pointing out his flaws and successes. His 'only here for the skits' actors had to make fun of Sasha Cohen and Helen Carter. Despite that not being a criticism anyone else had. And then they ended the whole thing with "Opinions are like assholes everyone has it" And decided it was fine. Yeah Doug, we all knew that.

I hate that they put Tasky as Black Widow's Nemesis when she does in fact have a rogues gallery. They could have even tied it to the movie still and used Yelena Belova instead. Thor I forgive because he was one of the first and they probably weren't 100% sure how long they were going to be making this game. But if one of the rumored future hero decks is real then it's really going to mess up the Unique Character rule.

He was in his 20s and I wish I'd have that sort of moment when quiting. We all imagine it but he did it. So to continue The Saga of Crabby Picard. Took some of the advice and we played with him last night before and after dinner. The problem is it's just really hard to get him to engage in playing. He'll bad at things for a little while then just sit there and relax for the next 10 minutes. You try to put it away he acts like he was playing with the whole time. Any good toy suggestions because the only thing that has ever really engaged my cats has been the laser pointers and I know you're not supposed to use those for cats so we stopped. Another piece of behavior that is more intermittent but still happens. When we go to bed he will start jumping on the dresser and rubbing against things that he knows makes noise. Then after that behind the box fan and meow. If you eventually get him to come up on the bed you'll be happy for about 5 minutes then he'll move on and start this whole process again. I'm sure they're related but I'm not sure what to do about that one

LOL. That is the exact same thing Picard does. He rubs his face against the earring rack knowing it makes a ton of noise. Then stops and looks right at us. It's actually similar to what he does with the carpets and balcony door. Scratches at it then looks to see if we're looking at him. I honestly wish I really spoke cat because I would give him whatever he wants if you would stop doing what he's doing. It does remind me that I have to film him running into the bedroom while I'm singing the "Nap Buddy!" Song.

So I have three cats. Sisko, Picard and Spock. All three are fixed and are indoor cats. Sisko and Spock are pretty good kitties, with the exception of being a little skittish. Picard however has become more and more of a problem child and I wanted to see if anyone hade ideas. So the layout of our apartment there is a sliding glass door that leads to a balcony. It is in the living room. Whenever we dinner, or watch a movie in the living room if he's awake he will come into the room and start scratching at the glass door on the balcony and the carpet in front . He has never been an indoor / outdoor cat. And he didn't do this for a while. Probably only the last year and a half. There is virtually no way to stop him. As much as I hate to use a spray bottle when I have used it he just walks away and then back. Picking them up or nudging him along causes the same thing to happen. Originally we thought this Behavior was due to the litter box being dirty so we would empty the litter box and he would seem to be happy with that. But now he'll do it no matter what you do. Literally the only thing that will stop him is if you pick him up put him on the bed and sit there with him until he lays down. Anyone got any ideas of what it could be? For what I could do to help the situation? Even giving him catnip doesn't keep him away for long anymore from any more. And I'm getting at my wit's end because it's stressing me out and it's making me think that I'm doing something wrong.

I remember wishing that amnesiac Shaw would regain his memories and then show up to one of their meetings and snap all their necks. As the Verendi they have been aged up a bit so it's not entirely ridiculous. And they have been used better in Marauders. Still want Shaw to snap all their necks. In other things Cable was just okay. A couple of okay lines and Domino calling them Stryfe clones made me laugh (did we ever really resolve who the clone was?) At this point, not an endgame. It's truly too early for an endgame. But he's also 48 years old so I don't see him pulling a Claremont run. What I do see happening with Nimrod returning is a culmination of several plots. Mystique will get resolved, the "exiled" characters like Sabertooth and Selene will get resolved, the Horticulture will get resolved, the Vulcan thing will get resolved and some other things will get resolved. I have a personal theory now but don't want to share it yet. Honestly I think we are about to get more of a Phase 2... Especially after this week's X-Force. I don't think the Vault and the World are done yet. And I have a feeling they have a lot more to do. Also I just thought of this. Where is Danger? She is a confirmed mutant even if she is technology. Thread I think the Founding Fathers might've overreacted
Well the thing is a peaceful independence was most likely not going to happen ever. The Divine Right of Kings was still a thing, admittedly weaker in England due to Parliament but was still a thing. Love or hate the American Revolutionaries (most of the colonial citizens did) they were challenging a concept that had never been challenged successfully before. There were scholars and the like who were already against the concept, even some within Catholic hierarchy, but it was a mostly accepted concept that Kings were kings and could not be over thrown except by other royalty. No matter it's reasons for starting, there is a real possibility that if the American Revolution never happened, the fall of the European monarchies wouldn't have happened either. I do find it a bit funny that King Louis of France basically ensured his own overthrow by helping the American Revolution, which is also funny because part of the reasons for the American Revolution was the French-Indian War.

They could have at least down something like that. Instead he basically threatened, with intent, to murder Freis wife in front of him. Which BTW is still illegal. It would be like telling a person who ran out of money for a coma patient "Yeah we're just going to unplug them right now, sorry not sorry." Freis isn't a saint in the situation but Boyle played the whole situation wrong and created a supervillian in the process.

Thread So We Can All Agree The Doctor Was The Best Part Of Star Trek Voyager, Right?
He was actually predicted to be the breakout character of the show. He was supposed to be as beloved as Quark and Odo. That's why a lot of his stuff is about how he is lying about what he actually knows, yet he still is a good person. They tried to course correct him with his Naomi Wildman stories and his interaction with the Borg Kids, but for a lot of us it didn't even remotely work. Harry was basically the Voyager canary. He died 4 times, and was always the one put in gold shirt danger when they didn't want to use an extra. And if he hadn't be chosen as one or the most beautiful people by People Magazine he would have permadied and we would have seen how Kes and Seven would have interacted. And would have a love triangle between Kes, Paris and Torres. Thanks People Magazine. Instead they kept Harry until the end and only made him interesting when it was an alternate version of him.

Actually Jason Alexander was a huge Star Trek fan and had been trying to get on Star Trek since Next Gen. He turned down every pitch because it was always 'George Castanza on the Enterprise' and he wanted to do something different. The Think Tank episode was one of my favorite episodes of Voyager, partially because how good Jason Alexander played his role. Yes he did. And as a week to week watcher, we were sick of Neelix. He then used his news show to make Paris look like a traitor, almost outing his undercover mission, stealing command codes, and then solving and killing the real traitor. I did not like it.

She has three plot lines. Fix something, beat up something, want to screw someone. The character was wasted and would often be nothing more than "angry Klingon" even though she was half human. Everytime she has a good episode it breaks out of those concepts. And it doesn't happen often.

Cruising speed of an American Fighter Jet is around 609 mph. Objects at that speed would be hard to identify. Radar helps, but all that tells you is that there is a thing there. Think about you in your car. (assuming you drive a car in the USA) The highest speed you have ever legally been at is 70 mph. Multiple that by 10 and think of all things on the side of a highway you couldn't identify but thought you knew what it was. I've illegally driven at 120 mph once and while dodging cars on the highway couldn't tell you what I saw on the sides. The human eye and human brain can only process so much, especially at speeds like that. Just slightly slower than the speed of sound. Our brains fill in the dots. The image is not a cube, as the pilot described it. It seems a case of an unusual object, a balloon of some variety probably entered their line of sight, they got a picture and it wasn't a cube. Although maybe it was just Thor's birthday.

It's funny because even at his wankest, Batman couldn't have done that. He maybe have been able to pull of the Deathstroke beat down, but the Prometheus stuff didn't even work with how his abilities actually supposed to operate. Batman is supposed to be the man with the plan, ie unlimited planning + unlimited resources can give him the edge against even the strongest of foes. Prometheus had this fight when, by his own admitting, his plans had failed. It was a situation he didn't plan for yet there he is dropping Red Tornado, Plastic Man, Zatanna, Star Man and Black Canary like they were nothing.

Okay. I don't follow baseball anymore. That was more my granddad's thing. He was after all a head coach for a Little League Baseball team. I lost interest in my teens when I was no longer playing the game. Having said that, comparing Baseball to Cricket is like comparing American Football to Football. They have only the most superficial elements in common. Cricket has a flexible strategy. It's all about that single moment between bowler and batsman. The shape of the field changes often. Baseball is a more fixed strategy. While then pitcher can call in the outfield, most of it is fixed. With cricket the baller must plan out his entire team for each batter. In baseball the pitcher needs to only plan for the best and the worst for each batter. They have massively different strategies and are barely the same sport. Both are thrilling live. Both are kinda boring to watch at home.

I did too. It felt like WCW was just starting to right the ship again. It wasn't perfect and probably would have taken a few years but it was on the right course. You had the right guys on the roster. You had the best of the best of the old guard left, you had a lot of midcard guys on the edge of a breakout, you had young talent that was going to be future stars (Hell AJ Styles was on the roster) and then... AOL-Time Warner's new board decided they were above wrestling, even though Nitro and Thunder were still out performing most TBS and TNT programming even in thier decline. And WCW's fate was sealed. Foxx has stated he's not playing the same Electro, specifically pointing out he won't be blue. Molina's Doc Ock died at the end of Spider-Man 2 so its safe to say he's not the same version. JK Simmons has already played a different J Jonah Jameson in the last movie. It's not unreasonable to consider that they are just giving these actors another go at the characters, but as different versions in the MCU. I would even point out that the Into the Spiderverse movie is about multiple Spider-Peoples but not villains pulled through out the multiverse. If the rumors about Tobey and Andrew started first, I'd be inclined to believe them. But they started after Jamie Foxx was confirmed as playing a new Electro. It feels like fan wish craft. Thread Do you think saying "Well in Expanded Universe that plot point/lore was explained" is a poor excuse to justify narrative problems?
To be fair you can reference past events, and events that never happened (ie the Clone Wars Part of a New Hope before the Prequels were a thing) what you can't do is have a plot point make no sense and then later go "Well if you read this book/read the novelization/Saw the deleted scenes/watched this other show it would make sense" And the MCU does this correctly. Captain America Civil War happens because of the events of previous movies. It doesn't however pretend you obviously know those events. Instead it spends any entire scene catching the audience up. I suspect when Scarlet Witch, Bucky or Sam show up again in a movie they will have some sort of explanation of the changes too them that happen in thier shows. Linkara's point is that they don't explain ANYTHING, not even a little throw away line like "The Jedi believe...". Just Anakin spouting off his justification for his own feelings. We don't get context except that an outsider has said something she thought the Jedi believe and he countered it. Thus the problem with whole love plot conflict is that without those explanations anywhere the audience is like "Well if Jedi are encouraged to love, why is there any issue at all?"

In my older age I've just become a bit more fond of immortal characters who decide that they will just do what they want which is why Abridicard is more appealing.

What I actually hope is that the F4 and X-Men don't crossover with the Spidey and Avengers stuff much if at all before they do a Secret Wars type story. What was cool about the original Secret Wars was it was a lot of characters who HADN'T interacted before except for small stuff here and there.

Actually what would be neat is a bit of all off the above. Earth is the primary setting per Secret Wars II and a human looking Beyonder as an antagonist. The "Slay your enemies and all you desire shall yours!" and the desire to understand good and evil aspect from Secret Wars I. And then have it all go to hell, reality is going to be destroyes and Doom steals the power and create the Battleworld. Could easily be a three movie epic with tie in movies in between.

I don't know I've been pretty 50/50 most my life as far as reading comics goes and I'm all Avengers. Had the question been X-Men or Teen Titans or Champions or Justice Society ... I'd probably still be thinking about it. For me the Avengers are just more of the "you made it" team. If you are asked to join the Avengers you've either proven yourself beyond a shadow of doubt or earned a once in a life time chance. You have an opportunity to not only walk among legends, but to become one yourself. With the Justice League it feels less grand (especially the JLU version) you are there because you have potential. And though you walk among Gods, you will probably never be one of them. To put it another way. When you are an Avenger it's your story. When you are a League Member, it's still thier story.

Thread Manga has been praised for having a consistent writer, but what I like about American comics is seeing different takes on characters and stories
They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Single creator stories have the advantage that they often have a consistent story that is told well. Big tent comics with multiple creators have the advantage that a new creative team can think of new ideas the previous team didn't think of. But it does go both ways. Single creator stories can be bad, and without outside input can continue to be bad. They also still have to answer to editors sometimes. Such as why the Android/Cell Saga of Dragon Ball has its main antagonist change three times. They also have the potential problem of the creator not wanting to finish the story. This leads to drawn out story arcs that progress past natural end points, filler story arcs, and a general meandering around the resolution of a story. Once a story becomes popular you have the marketing dept come in and ask for new merchandise to sell because the story is popular and you are forced to add new outfits and transformations and new characters. Big tent comics with multiple creators have different problems. You have some one given a book and have bad ideas for how the characters should progress, but they are signed for 12 issues so it just is allowed to happen. Editors can get in the way as well such as with the Spider-Man Clone Saga that was extended well past its original shelf life (marketing department had something to do with that too.) Then you have the concept of the "toy box" and lazy retcons. A good example is Brian Michael Bendis and his X-Men run. He wanted to play with the Original X-Men team and tell stories about being unhappy with the future they were leading too. At the end he put all the toys back in the box and didn't care about the consequences of his stories. Leaving other creators to clean up after him. But both concepts could borrow from each other. A Single creator book could get some outside input. A big tent book could allow for much longer creator runs. Neither is better or worse, in general, they are just different.

Moore with Watchmen was because he was told NOT to us those characters by DC. He then made his own universe with his own characters. He was forced into that, it wasn't an artistic decision. He did later use other people's characters and put a darker tone to them. It was called " League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" Then he did it again when he created a history for Rob Liefeld's Extreme Universe with Judgement Day.

Mystique's Brotherhood of Mutants had just raided her lab and killed all the scientists and research. This is when Destiny realizes what Moria is and needs to make very clear what the will happen if Moria continues her work in another life. So I have been following this thread but this single part of the OP is still bugging me. As some of you may know I have worked in the adult entertainment industry both in front and behind the camera. Why should such things be banned? This isn't the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. In the 2020s and before women have been at the forefront of both the porn and sex work industries. Taking control of it. And while there is still A LOT of work to do to make all off those industries more favorable to female workers it has been getting better. The rise of cam modeling, Onlyfans, ManyVids, etc has made it so sex workers can control their own content. If prostitution was universally legal with similar controls it could help sex workers of any gender. So why, when it's on the verge of universal acceptance do you want it to be banned?

The similar idea Crisis on Infinite Earths over at DC didn't happen till 50 years of DC comics. Even if you want to say accelerated timeline because real world and all its still to early. There wouldn't be enough build up unless they didn't pay it off for 5 more phases. There single issues of the Incursion plot in the comics that could be a movie on its own. There are also not enough pieces in place to do it. Three of the Four biggest names in the MCU are gone. The MCU is in a rebuilding phase. Some old favorites as we introduce the new blood. Their just isn't the investment level with the current casual audience.

Fair. I personally am still of the opinion that the "not a mutant" thing is actually a plot point tied to the Forever Gate (which is tied to all realities and worlds and times) because like John Hickman, Dan Slott is a continuity porn guy. In Superior Spider-Man Dan Slott brought back Shocker. SHOCKER!! The "VR" villain that was in love with Doc Ock. And even had Ock Spidey appear as the White Suit Doc Ock to finish the story. Love or hate Dan Slott he adores continuity. So does John Hickman. I have a feeling this Franklin stuff has a lot more before its done. Especially after the most recent issue of FF. Hickman has a history also of being coy, he did it during the Incursions, the Secret Wars, and the only Marvel reboot (which rebooted nothing except adding Ultimate Universe characters) I'm gonna let it play out.

And basically mocked Emma Frost anytime he could. The powerful woman who owned her sexuality was suddenly reduced to being called a slut and sleeps in comedy positions. Bendis burns his toys on the way out and leaves others to try to fix them.

I'll say it. Brian Michael Bendis is and always has been a bad comic writer. He wants to play with established superheroes but gives no respect to what became for him or after him. His writing for the original 5 X-Men. He had the costumes redesigned from the Steve Ditko original designs and their "Graduation" outfits. Instead giving them a very generic team costumes complete with see through glasses (except Cyclops) The O5 didn't become interesting until others were writing for them. And don't even get to me about he ruined the Superman family. Al Ewing will close the door on the Hulk being literally immortal but he's doing the Hulk has been presented as nearly immortal since Peter David was writing the book. He's establishing that all the Hulk's we've seen since the 60s have been actual characters. The Devil Hulk from then begining, the Big Guy, Joe Fixit, etc. But when Al is done he's is not burning the toys. He will put some back in toybox and giving a direction. The only thing he might close is the new forms for Doc Sampson, Red She Hulk and the transformations for Hulk.

Thread Favorite parts of X-men lore
Three pages in and I just realized I haven't really shared, just corrected or added to other people's things. For me... Well it's complicated. When I first started reading Uncanny X-Men it was the Australia Era. When I first really started paying attention it was Xtinction Agenda. I think my favorite lore of the X-Men isn't so much any particular thing, but rather how the lore can, for lack of a better word, evolve. How the stories can be 4 Color super heroics like the original X-Men. How it can be Space Opera. It can be melodrama. It can be magic and cosmic horrors. It can be about social justice and discrimination. It can be about slavery and human rights. It can even be about science denial and and the various -phobias. Since I started reading X-Men comics I've experienced (through both the issues of the day and the old X-Men Classic reprints) so many stories of every variety, and it wasn't always about being superheroes like other cape comics. I've seen the X-Men watch one of thier own become like a God and sacrifice herself rather than destroy everything in a passionate rage. They have face off against a xenomorph type threat, that was going to destroy an entire galactic empire. Fight against a man who kidnaps people and puts them in a Murder World while wearing a white suit and bowtie. Fight Magneto on an Island that happened to have a doorway to a demonic dimension that was ruled by a one armed Cat demon sorcerer. Infiltrate a government institution to enter a computer virus into the computer systems that will erase any mention of them or their identities from any database. Be transformed into Conan Era setting and have to fight one of Conan's Nemesis with the rest of NYC heroes. Face a omniversal television executive with literally no spine who rules his dimensions with ratings. He then turns them into toddler versions of themselves. Go to Asgard with one their number becoming a God and another falling in love with another God. Sacrificing their lives on live television to seal away an ancient trickster god and being resurrected and made invisible from cameras by the daughter of Merlyn. Literally watching the clone who was made of and was also their teammate make a deal with demons and bringing a literal hell to Earth. Saving a young homeless girl from mutant hunting assholes in a mall that had a male strip club in it for some reason. Being captured and put on trial by a nation that was partially run by a former villain who had previously had his head cut off and was now attached to a huge ass non humanoid mecha body. Saving former teammates from the influence from a psychic entity that had taken over an entire island. And that's the stuff from just before the 90s Era started. And not a single bit of it ever felt out of place with the X-Men comics. The mythos of the X-Men allows for all of those things to work without even using the shared universe of comics. All of those things were just things that happened to mutants, with the exception of two of those event. And I could honestly go on for a LOT longer. Even skipping the the modern Era with stuff like X-Corp, Sublime, Academy X, Utopia, Custom Mutant Powers as designer drugs, the Messiah Complex and War and Second Coming, etc. The lore of the X-Men is distinct and varied. And also can crossover with more traditional cape comics seamlessly. And no the concept of "Why do people hate mutants but not the Fantastic Four doesn't count. As once pointed out by Headmistress of the Xavier Institute, Emma Frost, the X-Men deal with mutant problems, sometimes the other superheroes don't even notice they happen and don't come to help. So I love X-Men, every bit of it. Even the silly parts.

He realized that she was actual one of Arcade's androids and rigged up her "guts" to fake the Phoenix effect to end the threat.

Don't even get me started on Jamake Highwater aka Jackie Marks. Edit - a total fraud, without a single drop of indigenous people DNA in his body. He did so much harm by just regurgitating what white people think indigenous people believe. And thus Chakotay becomes a stereotype instead of an actual representative member of indigenous tribes. He believes in practices that have nothing to do with the region that his tribe comes from. And instead becomes a Native American stereotype, of a spiritual man who is teaching the white people what they need.

Thread So what went wrong with Power Rangers Megaforce?
It's this. I remember when Saban got Power Rangers back from Disney and it was going to "save" Power Rangers (after one of the objectively best seasons with RPM) And it all fell apart with Samurai. Granted part of the problem was Nickelodeon didn't have any care or respect for the show. Hell they showed the 3rd episode first, and the first two episodes last. But Samurai is only a mediocre show at best with no care or creativity. Only thing it gave us was a main character female Red Ranger who was way too good an actor for the series she was in and a decent crossover movie (extremely flawed but decent) Megaforce revealed that the Emperor had no Clothes. Saban didn't give a crap about Power Rangers. Just cared about putting the Saban's name on the Power Rangers IP and milking it of money. I was actually HAPPY when Hasbro got it because at least I felt like Hasbro would TRY.

TNG would pair up with things Data/Geordi, Ricker/Troi, Worf/Riker DS9 was Sisko/Dax, O'Brien/Bashir, Kira/Odo, Bashir/Garrak, Quark/Odo, Jake/Nog. Voyager was Paris/Kim, Kes/Doctor, Neelix/Tuvok, Seven/Janeway, Seven/Doctor, Parid/Torres. Enterprise was often Phlox/Archer, Archer/Tucker, Tpol/Tucker. The other thing is many character only had a few storylines in repeat. Riker was always romance or command Geordi was alway fix, romance or voice of reason Sisko was always command or dad Data was always humanity or property Obrien was always family or suffering Kim was always "We hate this character why didn't we kill him off" Torres was always fight, fix or sex Seven was always humanity Archer was always Vulcans And Discovery is all about Michael and making sure Ash gets punished constantly for Killing the Doctor in season 1

Then they would get the recount cancelled like in 2000 for the same reasons. That's why they kept citing the Bush v Gore case. The problem was that Georgia was the least of thier problems. Trump had lost by several states. Instead of taking the L they decided to just proceed and use Georgia as a starting point to overturn the other States. You know what "President Bayonetta" moniker just convinced me to vote for Elizabeth Warren (slightly being sarcastic) so good on Jacob Wohl. Now someone suggest to Warren to have Moon River and Fly Me to the Moon as her official campaign songs.

What they don't seem to ever get is it is not an anonymous acquisition that brings these sex pests down. That's why Vic has been allowed to do his shit for decades. We all just knew the stories removed from the acquisitors. It's when the acquisors actually dare to stand in the light and take all the harassment and shame they know is coming, that the wheels begin to turn.

They do it pretty much everytime some devastating to Vic happens or when some BIG SURPRISE from Screech turns out to be nothing. Which is great actually. More effort they spend of Greg, the less they are bothering the actual victims.

I'm gonna go with Sean being an ass as, while I can't find them now because typing Chis Sabat into YouTube gets you mostly conVic videos now, I know he's been doing Vegeta sketches and voices at his panels for years. Hell he even did the "over 9000s" joke with Takahashi 101 at a con once. Now if anything was going to piss off Toei it would be praising Dragon Ball Z Abridged at a convention and then doing a meme skit with one of TeamFourStar in front of an audience.

Well at first I just thought they were just believing whatever they were told to believe. But after reflection I came to the idea that the whole thing is that they thing they scared the judge into changing his mind. They don't think this is a bad legal drama. They think it's a John Grisham book.

That's how hearings and trials work, especially when when one side is losing very badly. It's so that the appeal has no possibility of being heard. The more chances the judge gives the Plantiff, the less ammo he has to say, "the judge screwed us" to the Appeals Court.

It's because the only transcript exists from the threadnaught with a large watermark. None of the conVics want to put up the money for the transcript, nor do they want to give the threadnaught credit.

It honestly seems like the whole point was to file that piece of shit, knowing he'd fix it even later and catch the defense "by surprise" Remember when they were trying to spin the missing footnotes as part of the technical errors. After reading the transcript he seemed to be thinking that he could blame the tech errors, get the defense writing responses and the file a new one that would have things they weren't prepared for. He seemed to think he was allowed to update his entire petition based on the "summary judgment" phase. He seemed to not realize that the TCPA was not a summary judgment thing. Or if he did realize it, he thought he could still get away with it. Turns out he was wrong on all counts, but I'm still convinced he thought he could blindside the defense like it was a courtroom drama.

Okay this isn't real right? This is someone's bad Ace Attorney fan fiction that they wrote while drunk watching an episode of Law and Order dubbed into Russian and translated back by Google Speech to Text. There is no WAY Percy was this bad. I mean the live tweets looked bad. But this is... DIGITAL HOMICIDE DID BETTER SUING JIM STERLING AND THAT GUY IS AN IDIOT!

It will be a problem. See the GFM is out of money. Meaning the money that will be awarded to the current Defendants is coming out of Vic's pocket. Even if they try to raise money for a "second wave" Vic being nearly bankrupted by the first wave will probably give him pause. I firmly believe that the only reason these lawsuits happened is because Vic saw it as a free pay day. Once it hits his own wallet it will be different. Rooster Teeth is also operated out of Texas meaning the TCPA is still there. He has even less of a case against them. And Rooster Teeth is under Warner Media, meaning another set of high priced lawyers to help bankrupt Vic further if he does it. Unless you think his fans can raise him 1.5 million dollars, there isn't going to be a second wave.

I love how it always has to go to the biggest extremes. So yeah see one time this women accused a man of rape it he went to prison for 20 years and it was a lie. Instead of looking at the case and seeing what actually happened, or hell even citing the case so others can check. The person jumps to: I don't want to live in a world where a man spends 20 years in jail for saying hi to a woman. Like what the fuck? When has that EVER happened, ever.

Because it's the same thing these Alt-right types do anytime something like this or some other "SJW" thing comes up. That the relatively simple and honest thing "Woman comes out about being harassed by coworker" "LGBTQ people get to be married" and twist it down to the most ridiculous of all ridiculous slippery slopes possible. "Next thing you know even looking at a woman will be considered rape." "Next people will want to marry their dogs"

Nearly all cases against the Defendants have been dismissed with prejudice. Vic on the line for all Defandants law fees and costs for those. All other cases will be ruled on by October, pretty much everyone who hasn't put there whole world view into Vic winning, believes they will be dismissed as well.

That's not correct. Those audio recordings have been out for a long time. They used to play them at conventions even. First time I heard them was at Megacon I want to say 2004? Maybe 2006? I'll admit I don't have the date pinned down but they were played as an opening joke submission at an Anime Music Video contest.

However for a while now he's been doing his streaming to "lawsplain" since then he has been moving from one popular with the ALT right crowd culture to the next. Grifting seems to be his true career now. Keep the viewers sufficiently outraged so they keep subscribing and donating.

Because this was always about culture war against victims speaking out, and a grift to get money. The first 4 defendents were two women who called him out, the husband of one of the victims and a big company. They probably figured Funimation would settle to make it go away leaving the other three to settle so they don't go bankrupt.

Yes. Sabat is not named as a person using a "casting couch" but the conVics decided it must be him. I remember the first day of the "leaks" a conVic claimed he toured Funimation and "saw the casting couch" as in, didn't realize that the term is a just a way to describe a horrible act of casting parts, instead thought that it was an actual couch at Funimation.

The funny thing is that you don't, not for a con appearance. An oral contract, especially in this time of smart phones, mms texts, and the like. It's extremely easy to prove an oral contract. The hilarious part is thst Ty could not. And then claimed Disocery hold for the reason he couldn't. IANAL but eve watching Law and Order and People's Court I know that. Hell, watching Night Court and Golden Girls I knew that.

Not a long term one. Just a wide net hoping to catch as many as possible. Think of this. The recent "Funileak" had Sean Schemmel using the f-word, but the conVics were all obsessing with Sabat's mulit character lewd scene. Huber's affidavit, which based on some had some parts removed. (Remember kids edit your pdfs in Acrobat not Photoshop Element) , never cites Sabat as the casting couch person. But the conVics and altish-rightish youtube and all that want that to stick. So they post it everywhere and even people on Era find it. So the people who are only casually interested will find the bullshit rather than what's actually going on. See my annoyance that Google ever suggests BoundingintoComics to. Now imagine someone without our the savvy just randomly looking up. Thanks to Mr. Duchette for making some things show up in a Google search.
