EtcetEraThreadMinneapolis protests over murder of George Floyd. Police response more severe than when white supremacists stormed capitol. (See Threadmarks to help)

I absolutely support the protests and I’m disgusted by what happened, but these posts really bother me. So you’re ok with more death coming from this? Or at least you’re going to come up with excuses or rationals? That’s disgusting. The only people who deserve to be hurt in this are the cops who caused it.
I’m sure people will attack me now and accuse me of posting in bad faith or concern trolling since this is my only contribution to this thread, but I just don’t like death. I really really really hope innocent lives aren’t lost tonight.
GamingThreadNon-Exclusives That Just *Feel* Wrong On Other Consoles.
ReasonUser Banned (3 days): Hostility
Maybe he’s not some loser who thinks it’s wrong to play a game on a different platform.
imagine being so consumed by console identity that you find it “wrong” to play any game on a certain platform. The only “wrong” thing is having that feeling in the first place.
Because years ago when The Last Night was shown off at E3 Tim went on record to say that those views were no longer reflected in the game and even apologized on stage at the PC gaming show. Is it possible that he was lying? Sure, but the fact is that right now we don’t know what the game’s message is.
If you don’t believe him then fine you do you, but don’t try to paint those of us looking forward to this game as misogynists. That’s really how your post(s) comes across, and it’s really shitty. It does nothing but kill discussion. Maybe that’s what you want, but I know that I almost never enter in the conversation about this game these days because I know that there are individuals here who will try to accuse me of being something that I’m not just because I want to play the it. Many of us are interested in the Last Night because it left a strong first impression. There aren’t many games that looks quite like it. Being interested in the game does not mean that you’re ok with a shitty message.
I hope The Last Night sees the light of day. If anything because I’m more curious than ever to see what it’s truly about. You only have yourself and those like you to blame for that particular curiosity. If it ends up pushing a bad message I know I’ll hold the game and Tim accountable, but I’m curious too see how the game actually turns out.

ReasonMember warned: Downplaying John Bain's defence of GamerGate.
I'm not about to go through his entire soundcloud library or through his youtube channel as I have work to do, but on several occasions in videos and and audio blogs he made it very clear that he's not proud of some of the things he's said in the past and that he was aware of his poor behavior on social media. And quite frankly as time went on he got better at it. If it's not good enough for you then fine I don't know what to say but it's not like the dude said horrible stuff and then stood by it forever and never tried to be a better person.
Look I'm not going to sit here and defend TB all day. I have more important things to do. Plus people here have their opinions on him already. There are a lot of people who incorrectly label him as a monster. They chose to ignore the body of his work and judge him based on a handful of tweets which even he said he's not proud of. It's a terrible indictment on the "all or nothing" line of thinking that goes on here. I mean this is a community which in a thread on oldGAF criticized TB when he stood up for Laura Kate Dale. That's a thread which I will probably never forget as it put a real spotlight on the double standards many people hold. The picking and choosing this community does when it tries to paint John as a monster should be considered embarrassing. I know most here will disagree with me on that and it's fine. I don't think I'm changing anyones mind today.
I don't expect everyone here to have followed TB extensively so it's fine to not understand him completely, but to straight up ignore any defense of his character in favor of blasting him based on a few tweets is insane. The guy wasn't some hateful monster.
The guy is ultimately responsible for his own legacy and there is plenty to criticize, but we've gone off the deep end here.
