They're not particularly partisan so I don't care very much None of the things they say really hew towards a framework of belief that is axiomatically right wing or bigoted

Reason User Banned (Duration Pending): Homophobia. History of severe infractions.
So what is the general feeling you folks have about the nature of (male) gay dating culture? I'm not gay, so the only interactions I've had with it have been from the outside and fairly fleeting, but it's always struck me as being extremely aggressive and off-putting. Is that an inaccurate perception? The common "gay men in conflict" stereotype is one of passive aggression, but given the level of testosterone involved, I'd assume that a lot of interactions can be violently as well as sexually charged in what might be considered more "traditionally" masculine way as well, and I'm wondering if that holds true at all.

EtcetEraThread Teacher was "forced" to resign for using a trans student's last name instead of preferred one.
Reason User Banned (5 Days): Excuse and downplay transphobia.
I feel like using a transgendered person's last name is as close as you're going to get with a certain segment of the population, so in some cases you might as well just shrug your shoulders and take it for what it's worth. It's something you can't really fuck up - a last name is a last name is a last name, and isn't associated with gender identity at all. I can see someone using it as a diplomatic stop-gap measure. Not that this was that, though.
