HE got bullied by gamers to reduce the frameskipping.
Read this article ^ it's one of Polygon's best in years, where they describe everything that I felt back at E3 that could go wrong with this game, and have ranted about many times, and currently my own status with the game is that I feel as if I've been putting it off more and more because I feel it's simply not as the series should be. I find a game like The Sims fun, but the problem with sims is always that they don't feel carefree or relaxing to me, because they're ultimately about management and making sure everything is in balance. The more AC trended towards a feature-ridden sim, the more I started falling out of love with it, culminating with New Horizons. A few excerpts from the articleSo what was once a series about passion and relaxation has become another series that feasts on the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). How do you feel about this?
I'm back to conspiracy mode after reading this. Let me sail in my own pond, think me stupid and everything but I totally believe it was the alleged salary dispute once this points to being more likely that an ND or at least Sony affiliated employee might have done this. You need a devkit. Are there ways around that? Sure, but Occam's Razor says "unlikely" to me.
Being part of Microsoft now and no longer the esteemed "AA" project that it was before, I definitely got that usual corporate "they focus tested it" feel.
100% Nintendo. Sony and their "visionary, cinematic" content filter sucks.
I heard the issue is that the police in the US don't react on rape allegations. Does the same thing apply in UK? Also, what's next am I the reason people get abused too?
It's all corporate propaganda here. Yeah, discourse is too toxic as well, but... They're appropriating it to their PR.
Is it also going to make you boycott every living individual who worked their asses off to make the video game they wanted to? Ultimately the incident you mention was done by two idiots at the top of the publisher and they're only responsible for this product insofar as the publishing apparatus of the rest of their company is concerned. And okay I guess maybe more were invovled as some above posters suggest. Does that still mean the 100s of developers underneath them approved? I respect the decision but I don't find it entirely fair to all the developers who unfortunately got caught underneath that debacle.
It's worth pointing out that a lot of the time (and let's especially roll back at least 5 years) while all of those people are controversial and ultimately trolls, none of them had particularly rallying viewpoints about causing violence or spreading the hate. People will always believe they are the morally justified party, and while the slippery slopes lead to hatred and bigotry, I believe a lot of people who followed them are as simple as "I don't care for all this in the world" which is shitty but not as shitty as "I want to spread some hate and promote violence!". I know it's shitty to even make that distinction but when people keep conflating lesser evils as being equally bad you have to set the record straight. We're human and we all err, and no one individual is worse than the people who actually take weapons in their hands and murder someone else.
I don't think he's reporting to Blizzard lol, but I think he took their PR and decided to report it as truth without second thought and because it gave a good headline. Everything Kotaku does is for clicks.
Idk, a girl once grabbed my ass to act flirtatious and I liked it, and I also thought it was strange.
How about you just shut yer damn mouthpiece about stuff of which you know nothing, OP? Witcher 3 is great and people know why it's great... And it's... NOT because of the gameplay! And yet you're cherry picking the worst part of a collective experience that is outstanding, oh jeez, you hater.
Yeah and save for r/KotakuInAction I honestly think it goes both ways. It's either "Grrr, those Gamers and Gamergaters!" or it is "Grrr, those toxic developers and journalists" like, we really just NEED there to sides and someone to be the bad ones. Again, outside of the trashy KotakuInAction I don't know who or where these GamerGaters are, and I use social media and boards and discord for gaming daily.
