It’s not even just being in dire straits or extreme poverty, it’s the extent and levels of inequality that tends to promote antisocial behaviors and general social disorder. Yes these people are doing shitty and awful things, but calling people subhuman and other dehumanizing talking points doesn’t address fundamental causes that leads to these behaviors.
