I think because it comes into conflict with another Resetera pastime, which is Sony brand loyalty. Resetera is never short of people that are ready to drop everything to defend a Sony decision. And this thread is no different. A lot of their budding practices are outright anti-consumer and deliberately misleading, but yet people find a way to defend them. Idk, such is the messy world of enthusiast hobbies.
