What kills me, is this : People didn't care that Rey was a nobody (so was Obiwan and he defeated Vader with experience). They cared that she seemingly equaled the Skywalker heir in 2 hours (or 2 days). It's a bit too fast. So their only option was to double down on her connection with Kylo. Make it her destiny to be connected to him and yes, bypass some training by getting his. Not... MOD EDIT: Spoiler removed
