I can never understand all these Darwin award-winning losers. I just don't get it. There's billions of years worth of direct lineage from the first single-cell prokaryote and myself, and it's going to continue. My kids are going to be beautiful, and happy, and they're going to look towards the future with elation. "Bu, bu, but the planet's heating up!!" It'll be a meaningful inconvenience, but even the worst case scenarios don't render the planet uninhabitable. We'll migrate further north until we've transitioned to clean energy and are sucking the carbon back out of the atmosphere. Humans are great at creating a problem and procrastinating at fixing it until the last minute, and then getting it done. And that'll be us with climate change. And my descendants are going to be there all along the way.
