This situation has been rapidly deteriorating recently with any thread concerning Biden filled with liberals attacking any justified criticism of him, and even threads where no criticism exists filled with subtweeting of leftists for not posting in every thread about Biden. However, all of that pales in comparison to the shitshow that was the . It began with Oheao responding to Biden's plan to involve foreign policy and punish countries which were unfriendly towards LGBTQ people by wondering if this would apply to Saudia Arabia. He received dozens of angry replies from liberals and was banned for "thread derailment" despite being a direct response to a line in the OP. Several other leftists were banned over the course of the thread, most alarmingly, psychoward, who is bi, was banned for defending his views, while received only a warning for claiming that bi men were not LGBTQ enough. To add insult to injury, in the claimed " Do not throw LGBTQs or other minorities under the bus, especially that of fellow members." while the staff had just banned an LGBTQ member and protected those who threw him under the bus. Again, literally first thing acknowledged in my post. It wasn't on black people though, which is my whole point. We have our own messed up history and based on that, things that are taboo here are okay in the US (e.g. Jewish jokes like Family Guy pulls frequently are completely unacceptable), things that are taboo in the US are okay here. (e.g. "blackface", as we have no history of systematically oppressing black folks and it doesn't have the same context linked to minstrel shows). What I'm trying to say is it reeks of cultural imperialism to try and apply the American view on every society. We all have our own history and our societies are different as a result.

Pens that are so small a sow cannot turn, forced into pregnancy as fast as possible, weened babies off so young to cause distress, forcing animals to spend their entire existence laying in their own excrement, and the list goes on and on. It didn't used to be this way. We've taken billions of sentient animals and forced them into such horrible life that it will bring the average person to tears when they see it.
