Will still be bad
Nah, no one gets to decide that except hardware owners and manufacturers, who actually invest money into the products that they own, make the decision on who they SHOULD play with and against using that hardware. Console owners (who have spent money and bought consoles as their primary choice of getting third party games for an entire generation, and not just as just an exclusive device which they like or a multiplayer game device for people who don't have players on their preferred platform, eg: CoD's, FIFA's, Fighting Games and numerous other games in various genre) ARE the ONLY people who SHOULD speak on which other platforms their consoles SHOULD crossplay with, and it's a resounding YES from the entire console-only community for CONSOLE-ONLY-CROSSPLAY. This cheating issue seems to be incredibly high in certain games on PC, and Warzone is one of them, it's not even that much of a problem if the dev is active enough and their anti-cheat is strong, despite this leak and the code being reverse engineered. Same situation with Battlefield with the recent leak. Both these publishers will be fine, just like Valve are with CSGO. The people on console who use cheats as a way of arguing to avoid PC crossplay are miniscule, even if there might be some on this thread. The vast majority just wants to crossplay only between their own platform, consoles, irrespective of their makers, and it's their (as well as the console manufacturer's prerogative and their right to avoid any other platform as well) absolute right. It's really funny to tell them that they "SHOULDN'T" crossplay between their own consoles if PC doesn't get it. SONY and NTDO currently have a first party rule that every dev should offer the consumer an option to turn crossplay off. Going forward, SONY, MSFT and NTDO should (and most probably WILL very soon due to the community feedback that they're getting) go ahead and make a first party rule that PC should be avoided in ALL games that have ANY form of multiplayer, and most importantly (last, current and future gen console hardware), should crossplay between all the console variants wherever possible. This egregious practice of 3RD party devs exploiting the console playerbase due it's size and sales, and the player injection to PC via "default on full crossplay" and no option to play only with other consoles only via crossplay, is going to be over very soon. Console-only-crossplay is the inevitable future, and there are titles which have started this already.
This is like the fall of Afghanistan in a damn day lol
I mean the game is deffo not designed for lil babies throwing controllers - so yeah maybe drop it? The enemies do require you to behave differently to others, because you need to be proactive w/ positioning - which is usually the reason we see “omg this Is bullshit posts!!” with similar enemies in other games.
I don't think it is immoral to steal from billion dollar corporations.
Benzema? FOH with that crap. Him winning it, or the NPC at Chelsea is a joke. He's not getting top 3, BDor will between Lewy and the midget that won the might dollarstore Euros after the 4th attempt in 6 years. The most legendary feat.
I guess it could be worse, it could be a chinese company. A swedish company at least has to follow EU law, right? RIGHT?
Good. Also, accounts with 93 post and no avatar are suspect.
It seems everything's racist nowadays.
I am sorry, correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC you've bought and played the game right? Cyberpunk, I mean. I don't understand the dichotomy of saying stuff like this while at the same time supporting the company through buying and/or playing their game anyways?
I am going to be honest. This topic has shown me that this forum has become a bubble. Everybody has to agree with the same things or you are directly banned. There is no open discussion anymore(funny because that's what the meaning of a forum is).
1. Cancel Tyler. 2. Create a site full of his site's members. 3. Go even woker. 4. Sell all your assets and member information to a toxic MOBA Community investor. 5. Profit. It's really pretty smart. Enjoy the shitty site everyone! LET'S GO BRANDON!
Wait till era learns that all the evil corporations (they are evil) actually pay their moderation staff :^) And BTW, if the staff knew about this deal and didn't tell anyone, they care more about their "friend ship" with Baron Cerium moreso than where your data is going. :)
So fellas, when are we gonna start supporting Afghan women in here? Anybody able to get their hands on a C-17 yet?
Oh you mean like this Cricket bat used as a weapon? But you say nothing when COD:WW2 has a bat full of nails? COD = Good! Can get away with anything because favouritism! BFV = BAAAAD! Because things in trailer that never made it into the game! Also remember when Troops played Atari games on the Beach in WW2? But that doesn't cater to your narrative does it? Or Virginia Hall who went on missions with a prosthetic leg? Or this woman done up to fight? You a GAF troll? Edit - Yep, you are. Ah right, thanks for this level headed response. Makes some sense.
one of those threads where you just take a quick look and quietly leave
Concern trolling? I’m just going off of how early everything in that presentation looked and the uniquely glacial development pace almost every single “TRIPLE-A” first party Xbox game seems to have undergone in its modern era. I’d love to be proven wrong here, but even before the challenges of the pandemic we had stuff like the Halo Master Chief Collection taking years to fix, Scalebound’s cancellation and Crackdown 3’s troubled development. So many issues from so many wildly different studios.
It's not like the mods change around or have to deal with any kind of accountability or repercussions to their actions. They would be just fine
I wish Nintendo got even half as much shit as Sony does for their pricing. Returnal being $70 at launch was a huge controversy, even though it's regularly been on sale for $50 in the few months since launch, and will probably be on sales for ~$30-$40 or so within a year. Meanwhile, Nintendo can put out a 10 hour 2D game or port of a 5+ year old game and charge $60, never discounting below $50 even years after release, and barely anyone seems to mind? So many Switch games I'd like to try but will never play because of the price. I'm absolutely getting Dread sometime in the next few months (hopefully as a Christmas gift), but the fact that I can't just wait and get it for $40 in a few months like I can with games from literally every other publisher is annoying as fuck.
I haven’t seen it, looks kinda dumb.
That's why i don't like politics mixed with creative works, even though it is something that in a lot of cases seems inevitable. Blow clearly has a different approach to controversial things that don't fit my narrative, but he created Braid, which i enjoyed, and The Witness, which totally blew my mind off. So i'd like for him to keep dropping games like these two. I don't care about his views in politics, gender, etc. I just want to play good games, and he delivers. But, in this situation, he can do whathever he wants, if he doesn't want to go to events/conferences, that's his call, and we have no saying in the matter. But i have to give him that coercing authors in this called "cancel movements" is not the best approach.
From my understanding, the "transphobic material" is part of that long ass bonkers Hotep vid she clearly shouldn't have posted (but did), which I've said before is very likely what she was referring to with her last tweet about that vid before deleting her social media. That seems to be what people are referring to, and I take it that since the internet considers Dave to be transphobic ... anyone sharing The Closer online would be "sharing transphobic material". But I'm not gonna condemn random people or celebs and entertainers for praising/ sharing parts of the special online. And like I said in that post, 2020 was a wild year with lots of wild shit and mistrust+misinformation about the vaccine from all directions. She aint the first or only or last person with a platform to post some shitty opinion about it, which is why her abdicating her social media platform was the right move in my eyes.
Lenin had the Cheka to exterminate fascist saboteurs. And likewise Stalin had to deal with sedition not from without, but from within. Which required a purge.
Okay, I read over the mod post. So here a question? What will you do about Morrigan? Saying "if you post in support of us, you won't get banned" is a pretty big indictment here. And would explain the influx of trolls these last couple of days.
Ngl, there was a point where I thought there might actually be a few posters here who were paid by Mihoyo to talk positively about them, because they were unnatural adamant about defending the company during some of their most questionable decisions LOL. I dubbed them "The Mihoyo Defence Force" .
Dude is not a gender based term, been unisex for a long time. I have no interset in discussing your gender identity. I'm discussing the FGC and your no fun allowed judgement of it.
Aren't we all?
This thread does not align with that recent age poll. Lots of people in here have clearly never lost anybody close to them. Childish behavior.
Didn't Kyrie already get Covid? If he did, he shouldn't have to get the vaccine. I find it funny that everyone screams TRUST THE SCIENCE but then is happy to ignore it when players that already had Covid would prefer not to get the vaccine, as was the case with Wiggins. What do all these "scientists" thinks the vaccine does? Of course, if he's never had covid and doesn't want to get the vaccine he's a dumbass.
It’s… Like, very much reworked up to modern standards though? Sure they’ve used some base assets to assist with the translation to current gen but it’s not like they’ve just slapped the old games onto the new consoles. Use your brain.
Weird that the OP hasn't updated/edited any misgendering or even asked for a thread closure at this point, but I guess to notice lol. However this did give me a chuckle:
If it was anyone else I'd agree. With her? She is just insane.
When is he going to make another game? Blow its a fucking brilliant puzzle designer, one of the best. :lol true
It's okay, I respectfully disagree. You can be a sociopath and not feel explicit suffering but it isn't gonna be a fulfilling life imo... All modern studies I know of show that once you make enough to not struggle in America about 70k, it is a lot easier to be happy. That does not mean someone who is making 70k and has super good moral principles, a loving wife, does charity, goes to the beach, etc.....isn't probably a lot happier then someone like our recent president who idk if I'm allowed to bring up (?), who spent his days eating poorly, tweeting private citizens hatefully, no exercise, concerned about every word spoken of him, frustrated, grumpy, etc... I don't personally find it right within my own belief system to celebrate the death of people even if I do think certain things should be remembered, but I don't mind that some people do. Even if certain problematic actors on a global scale came to their passing I'd think "R.I.P. thank god the world can move on now".... Just think it'd be nice if people weren't getting upset about others simply saying R.I.P and tryna just say hey, everyones got different beliefs, if they aren't fighting the battle at this time it isn't a personal attack.... In my eyes if someone is laughing at the suffering of LGBT they likely are frustrated by the success and growth as well. I admitted that I dont believe in the reincarnation aspect of Bhuddism that they use to make karma equal, but karma is still karma. He negatively impacted more lives then he could suffer as one man, but now he is dead, his conscious, ego, and all are gone. No one can really punish him anymore, I think he punished himself and others in his life, but now he is resting. Super not here to tell people what is right and wrong and accept that is personal, just tryna communicate why not everyone who is saying R.I.P. is some apologist, don't think it is appropriate to police the tone of those comments either. That's all. The original post I was responding to was about a guy saying he hopes everyone saying R.I.P. means Rest in Piss and I think it's like cmon, let people say Rest in Peace without taking it personally you know? Gonna be my last comment in this thread 100% but yeah, R.I.P. isn't apologists, it's okay that's all I wanted to say. Some people just have different beliefs. Pretty sure everyone is on the same side here as far as the asterisk stating he was a terrible human that will forever be next to his works.
Will microsoft please buy dice already or can dice just employ me to manage the next battlefield -next gen only -medium sized maps with 64 player count -no jets just chopper -destruction to next level following on from bc2 -tighter gunplay and better hit registration due to medium scale -class based and no specialist crap -no focus on tornados and rocket launches
Oh I see what this is, you're just quite bad at the game. Sorry, but this is one of the most sublimely controlling metroidvanias on the market and "stringing 3 double jumps" together is very easy. The timing is you have to press the jump button again once Samus starts moving downwards, not before. Not once did I miss it during the entire game.
The Fremen are not Arabs. The Arab people are among their several very, very distant ancestors, and their culture is a hodgepodge of multiple cultures and religious movements. We're talking about a mixed culture that has survived, separately from Earth, for thousands of years. For their words to be pronounced like they are today is absolute nonsense. Heck, we're less than 2000 years separated from the Roman Empire, and we have no way of truly knowing how Latin was spoken back then, despite the language still being taught and used. Your expectations are unreasonable if you want the Fremen to be a perfect replica of modern Arab culture and language or even physical appearance. Come on, don't make grand sweeping statements based on the trailer alone. "Jihad" isn't replaced with "crusade" in this movie. Both words are used in the book, after all. The movie doesn't use the word "jihad," however, at least from what I can remember. The word is instead replaced with "holy war."
Well, I couldn't agree more with him on this particular subject. Cancel culture is cancer.
Dude have Asperger's or something?
This Jonathan Blow guy has been putting his bigoted views into his games for ages. Take this puzzle solution in the Witness: It's basically advocating racial segregation. Separating blacks and whites. It even becomes one of the 'core rules' in progressing through the puzzles in the game. Ingraining historical and systemic abuse against a certain people into some sort of abstract puzzle to be solved. Devious shocking and typical of Blow.
What did Jonathan Blow do?
"unable to implement this time." ~ Port this game to PS (and Xbox) and all will be forgiven, Capcom :D I pray that this will become a must in their future titles. Cross play, cross save, and all platforms please. Also... I don’t mind the paid DLC, but not when what we can earn in the game is so sparse. Give us something other than too many stickers please. Iceborne spoiled me too much.
Yea people here love to feel all high and mighty and tut tut at anyone even remotely close to having “privilege” It’s like they want everyone else to be as miserable and poor as them and before you pass judgment on me if you’re posting on a hobby video game forum you are not as “poor” as you think you are
Fixed. I mean, good for him, and fucking finally that a US president finally did it, but let’s not suck off a war criminal.
I knew the most harmless interview Jim Ryan has ever done would have a controvertial quote. That said, I’m sure he should have had the data by now to know this simply not true.
Aren't the results a bit predictable now that Nintendo ERA is gone?
Is it okay to discuss openly one's conflict about this? Or is the point that I am either "with" everyone or "against" them? Can a person be conflicted about what a comedian is actually trying to say or do they have to instantly know every person's thoughts and intents before they start to talk about that internal conflict? I think understanding transphobia and its role in the world and how it relates to what Dave is focusing on as opposed to embroiling oneself in the emotional energy it causes when the spectator is exposed to his jokes is important. I can understand the emotion and energy his stand up causes on this topic, and still reject that Dave's intent is what the majority of people say it is. Doesn't a person's statements and actions define intent? Or is it the community's interpretation of those statements and actions? I feel like, especially in historical context, it is way more the former than the latter. Intent is notoriously difficult to assume or accept. A good recent example is Stephen Colbert IMO. If you look at Stephen Colbert's show after 2016 and the election of Trump, he basically remade his name in Trump's shadow. Trump caused him to become the #1 late night comedian. Do we assume that Colbert rode those coattails from the start, though? Was that his intent? Because recently, he won't even say Trump's name live on air. I would firmly argue that perhaps Colbert rode that awfulness, but that there was a grey point somewhere where he didn't consciously decide to utilize Trump to elevate himself. And from day 1 of Trump's election I was literally curled in a ball in bed over the fact he was elected because I knew what it meant (and what it still means) for the future of the United States and the world. And I was furious at any and all media for the way they had (in my opinion) brought it about. And anyone that benefitted from it turned into some kind of evil for me. But at what point did Colbert turn from a lucky benefactor into an active benefactor into a regretful benefactor of what was happening? Did he have intent in it? Why did he stop saying Trump's name entirely finally? Should I burn him at the stake for not realizing sooner that his focus on Trump was elevating Trump and that he should stop? And that grey area, to me, is also present in what Dave is doing. Why did he try to go so hard on the LGBT community in this special? Was it really to threaten them? I am fine with this community's conclusion that his actions in some way harms others - but not that it only harms others. I think this forum has a very real problem with stating opinions as facts and trying to flame anyone that doesn't align. Please don't tell me that everything you and you believe is the truth in this world. That's as bad a take as any on a message board intended for discussion. Where's the statement from Dave himself on what he was trying to do here? Where is your objective source of truth on the matter? And please don't respond with another opinion. And please don't tell me that EVERYTHING a comedian does can be taken at face value. Their whole purpose is to constantly do things that face value. This is literally as bad as aligning with the people from whom you are trying to protect in the LGBTQ community, a community of which I am a part (although I am not transgender, for clarity purposes). This is similar to book burning in fahrenheit 451. I am literally communicating a struggle / opinion and you are burning me at the stake for it. Since when did drive by moderation become an acceptable thing on this forum? I am not trying to justify transphobia. I am trying to speak about the fact that Dave is quite literally addressing all the criticism of himself head on in this special. One can focus on the jokes and feel that emotional fire (I am not per se defending the jokes), or they can focus on his intent with the whole special. I do think the fact that basically his whole special focuses on the LGBTQ community is not a coincidence. I do actually think he is trying (even if one decides his execution is flawed) to say something a bit larger than the sum of the parts of his very targeted jokes. And I think this is where my disagreement with this community lies - to ignore that other part of this special and focus on the way he gets there , I think, is to miss a lot of important stuff that deserves conversation. Comedy is actually a panacea for fear, historically speaking. I am not saying this special or the way he went about it is justified. But isn't there perhaps that silver lining? I can understand the community's fear that what Dave did drives certain communities toward more problems with self. Can the community understand my fear that silencing comedy would also increase the danger to those same communities? You aren't entirely right or wrong. Though as I say above, I am not transgender but identify as a part of the LGBTQ community. Everyone has an opinion on everything, btw. All you have to do is ask them about it. In this case, a couple non LGBT friends asked me to watch the special and see how I felt about it, so I did. And then I saw this thread and was surprised I didn't feel the same exact way or as strongly as everyone here does. How is a post like this even allowed when people are calling for my ban for actually communicating my own conflict on the matter? Come on people. This is a message board. It is meant for the exchange of information and viewpoints. I am not an enemy, though I do recognize why my post, without communicating my opinion, was too brief originally. I've tried to rectify that above. All of this isn't to say that I am perfectly educated on all of this, and understand the nuance of why the era community has reacted the way it has. Part of the reason I posted was to open the door to further understanding and perhaps change my own perspective.
