Thread Should Capcom Delay the RE3 Remake due to the Pandemic?
It's a game, which has zero effect on what's going on now. In fact, games like this are needed more than ever to help people take their minds off of the mind-numbing bullshit that's going on in the world right now. Obviously, if there's a logistics issue, then simply explain if a delay is needed. Otherwise, pitch this as another reason for digital releases and call it a day.

WOW.... People have been trying to get this person banned for years over questionable takes and nothing ever happened. Then this happens. 1. How dumb can you be right now? This ain't no joke. 2. Deserved, rightfully so. That's a terrible thing to do. In character or not, joking about killing people is not funny. 3. Waiting for her supports to chime in she did nothing wrong. HOWEVER!!!!!!! I feel that this is yet again Twitch being Twitch. She's banned for this, while they're pushing other stars that have violated the law and nothing happened.

Performance-wise: Nothing. Even if there's a brief moment where they overlap, it won't be for long. There's tons of performance available on the PC but goes to waste as there aren't many optimization efforts. Gaming-wise: Lots. With more developers taking advantage of the power of the XSX and PS5, the PC **Should** see better ports.

Thread PAX East 2020 Interview with Magic: Legends Interview with Adam Hetenyi
Not sure if this is allowed, so if it isn't, then nuke this to hell. Otherwise.... During PAX East 2020, I had a chance to interview the Principal Lead Designer of the currently in development Action RPG, Adam Hetenyi. During that time I was able to get some hands-on with both the Geomancer and Beastcaller class (which is shown in the video). During the interview, we spoke about how the game will appeal to those who are either familiar with the Magic IP, or new to it. Upcoming beta plans, gameplay mechanics and more. If anyone has any questions about that, or how the Geomancer played, let me know. Sadly we weren't allowed to record any gameplay.

Thread Daemon X Machina (PC) | Review Thread
I was a dunce and thought the embargo was later than it was ;(. Anyway, here's my impressions of the port. Since the gameplay is identical to the Switch version, I decided to do a piece of what's changed instead of an article review. Such as the graphical options, framerate, controls and things to look forward to on the PC version. I've seen some asking about performance, and let me just say this. On my "Weaker" testing PC with a Ryzen 7 2700x + RTX Super 2080, I was running at a constant 4K60 FPS. I have a lower-end PC with a Ryzen 5 1800 + GTX 1080 if anyone is interested in performance on that. Enjoy!

Thread Cloud gaming service GeForce NOW "Founders" access to cost $4.99/month
You log into your Steam/EGS accounts on a Virtual Desktop, there's a difference. This is no different than if you were using on a VM/VPC now. All Nvidia is doing is providing the hardware, nothing more. There is nothing illegal about this. They aren't charging you for the access to the games, they are charging for access to the machine. This has nothing to do with anyone else's cloud service because you are playing the games YOU OWN on the storefronts. They would have to restrict access to Steam for them to stop you from being able to play using GeForce Now. The only way I can see this happening is if someone gets a dumb ID and says you can't log into Steam or wherever, on anything other than your main PC. Which, again, would be dumb. As far as faking steam accounts, what's any different than now? People do that now. People steal/borrow other steam accounts now. So I don't understand that logic.

Thread Nvidia GeForce Now |OT| One place for all the ways we play
I think that's going on here, is that some are getting pushed to datacenters/locations with the older hardware. Which makes sense now. Nvidia mentioned they were still rolling out hardware, and seeing how some are saying they were on the Tesla P40 which is the older hardware, vs the RTX 10-8 which is the newer RTX enabled hardware. It would be interesting if everyone could take note of where they're connecting to. And if you're checking out DOOM, to enable the stats as it shows you what GPU the game is using. So far, 10x now I've been on RTX 10-8. I'm also in North America, connecting to the East Coast location.

The time limit is in place to make sure there are resources in place. This is a virtualization service and at any time multiple users will be using the same GPU. The time limit for free is to give you a taste and hopefully make you a believer, where the 6-hour limit is considered long enough for a gaming session. That and to make sure that you are just idling and actually using valuable resources.

Thread Matt Piscatella, “ The great PC distribution platform wars of 2019 did not do consumer spending on PC content any favors”
Yes, but it was more than that. They were able to disrupt the scene by moneyhatting games requiring people to change where they normally purchase PC games. They stop a lot of discounts from various places until recently (GMG, keys) and then they started giving away free games on a monthly basis. Those games are free for us, but they come only due to backroom deals between Epic and the publisher/devs. Valve did nothing, they just waited and they really didn't need to do anything. They are still the market. Epic is the newcomer, doing whatever they can to make waves, and they definitely have, but not enough for Valve/Steam to care. Then MS jump in with the PC Gamepass, and stole quite a bit of their thunder. Tons of games, cheaply priced subs, especially if you jumped on the errors (.05$ a day) and more games coming every month. Yeah, the PC gaming scene was really all over the place in 2019.

In before "Epic Games hates Linux and they also own Rocket League". But seriously, this is a bad look to have the support and then pull it away like this. I understand that Linux and macOS aren't really big gaming platforms but this hurts. Thankfully Linux gamers can still play via Steam's Proton or Wine Funny, when Psyonix was scooped up by Epic Games, they kept saying "Continued Support". Despite most saying there goes Linux support.

Thread Does the Epic Game Store still not have cloud saves?
If you think about it, unless the storefronts provide specific info then it's going to be up to the storefronts. Plus it's easier if they handle it as they control the process; change control, structure changes, etc. it's that it's taking Epic Games a long time to get what we consider basic features. There's no way that these AAA games that are EGS exclusive should be in this state. Hell, no storefront has every game enable with cloud saves. That said, I'm not giving EGS a pass, they need to pick it up

Thread Could Microsoft seek 3rd party multiplatform launch exclusive to Xbox Game Pass
I think what the OP is trying to say is having 3rd party games release the same day on Game Pass, as it does for PS4, Xbox, Switch, etc. As it is now, only a handful of 3rd party games are released onto Game Pass on launch. Typically 3rd party games come much later, so having them on the service day one would be an interesting thought. Though, I'd suppose MS would have to work out a deal since this would net 3rd party publishers with possibly less revenue than selling them outright.

Thread Help me with PC setup for couch gaming
For my HTPC, I have it connected to my TV. I use a Logitech wireless keyboard for when I need access to it., the K400. Otherwise, I load up the PC with my games on whatever service (steam, Origin, EGS). I use PlayNite, which is configured to load one my PC starts. This lets me manage all my games, and even control the PC using the interface (Restart/Power off). So it's pretty much self-contained. I also feel that PlayNite is much better than Steam Big Picture mode. The only time I use my keyboard outside of configuration is when I need to make a change in Steam (or another launcher) or to play a game. If I'm playing a shooter then I break out the foldable table. But this setup is mainly for controller gaming.

I do have 4K (3840x2160), 3200x1800p and 2560x1440p back. Funny enough, when setting the display to 4096x2160 it made the game menus super twitchy. Still not getting past 60FPS though. It is not showing up on any of my 4K TVs. So if it does support 4K, this is completely weird that I can't get it to show. Are you playing on a 4K monitor or TV? *Edit* Now that you say that, I'm curious. I wonder if I set a custom resolution for 4K if it will show. I shouldn't have to since it's 4K natively, but I'll give it a shot.

Thread Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot |OT| Legacy of Goku In 3D
OK, after getting into a convo about the game on the PC, regarding resolutions. This is what I've found out. This is a copy/pasta from the Steam Forums where I originally posted this. Hey folks, I recorded that footage for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and I initially said it was locked at 1080p. After doing some testing, that's not exactly true, but at the same time, that's not what I was going after. I'm playing this on a PC connected to a 4K TV, one that does not natively support 1440p. When I posted the footage, I was asked if the game supports 4K, which it apparently does not. Attempting to play the game at 4K, the game will not show the resolution in the game. However, later on, I went back and forced a custom resolution of 2560x1440p for my TV and when I fired up the game it did show that. So it does show 1440p, but still no 4K. So that means if you're on a 4K monitor, you'll need to set a custom resolution for 1440p to work. It should detect 4K and allow you to do 1440p like most games (at 30Hz) but it doesn't. As for the frame rate, most TVs only support 60Hz, so that's what it's stuck at. Usually, games are coded to allow for extra framerates, even if your monitor doesn't support them and you can see that using something like Rivatuner. This doesn't, so either it's capped at 60 or it caps at your TV/Monitor refresh rate. I'm currently installing this on my other PC which uses a 3440x1440p 120Hz panel. I'll let you know the results. Lastly for those asking, I'm playing a review copy that was sent to me by Bandai Namco. I hope this clears up a bunch of questions.

Currently rocking an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, mITX board and an RTX 2080 Super. Stays cool and kicks ass in most games at 1080p/1440p, and most 4K games. Plus its travel-size, I can take it to conventions when I go. I would have gone smaller, but I needed a case for a full-size GPU and AIO cooler. I really want the Loque Ghost S1 or Dan Case A4 , but those are mighty expensive.Nope, it has vents on both sides. It can only be stood up unless you lay it on some sort of bracket/stand.

Well, that just goes to show that perhaps people should broaden their horizons. Maybe look at those outlets/persons who give a damn and do look at those titles? Thread IGN deserves credit for covering PC VR games
Sadly, indie games and smaller AAA games just get overlooked. Either due to lack of interest, manpower, or a few other reasons. It's not right, but that's why there's a section of outlets where someone will ultimately pick that game up and play it. Sometimes it comes down to traffic and money, as we've seen. I'll be honest, most VR games get overlooked because VR hasn't been that powerhouse for many. Yes, it's picking up steam but you also have to remember the entry point still isn't cheap. On top of having a capable PC, you still need to drop $400 on hardware. For big outlets sure that's not an issue. For smaller ones, it is. Trust, this trend you're seeing isn't going to continue.

Thread Do you expect 4K to be a standard next gen or we are not there yet?
4K is the golden standard, it's pretty, it looks good when done right but we aren't there. Even on the more powerful hardware, you're forced to either drop the detail level down or suffer at less than 60FPS and that's not acceptable. The problem we have is 1080p is old news and people want the next step. Logically it would be 1440p/2K but most TVs don't support this so it's overlooked. Sure, PC gamers have access to it and have been saying 1440p is the sweet spot for a while now, but as long as consoles are deciding factor, 1440p isn't an option. So does that leave us? I say having the option to upscale and not going true 4K is a nice compromise. I'd rather have 60FPS (and above) than a higher resolution. I'd love for 1440p to become adapted outside of Samsung VRR sets.

Pretty much. I hate to be that guy but if you think MS is done with general consoles, well I got a bridge to sell you. The fact that they are pushing their games on both console, PC and are focusing on cloud gaming should tell you they are out for blood. Why have their game on one platform when they can have it on many? That's more money in their pocket, more people playing their games and it shows their thought process has changed. And why no one can deny that Sony is killing it, it also shows they are still looking at the old ways. Even Nintendo has started looking toward the future. As for the evolution from Project Stream, I was implying that since it has changed, the underlying setup and what we knew is different. There's more being passed, there's more being handled on Google's end as they updated most of the code (according to them) and added a bunch of prediction. PS was also desk stop only streaming, this is completely different.

Thread GRID has 40 car mode on Stadia 'just not possible on other hardware
Hardware drives the calculations, the hardware is spec. It does not depend on the streaming, as that handles the prediction and transmission of controls and other data. This is completely hardware driven. That said, I'd be more inclined to below that this is only capable on Stadia, IF Google was forthcoming with any info on the service. However, they haven't been transparent regarding Stadia at all. All we've seen is controlled environment demos and nothing more. We nothing on the servers that handle the heavy lifting, nothing regarding the datacenters and geo-location/load balancing, not a damned thing.

You know how silly that sounds? When games are released ahead of schedule, we get reviews on it? Hardware is also released weeks, if not months ahead of time to review/test. As are services. We have a damned Project xCloud public trial right now and there are tons of impressions. We have nothing on Stadia. And don't you dare say Project Stream, Stadia evolved from it and has changed considerably. You mean to say that no one has access to this? That no one has been able to test this in a real-world setting? Tell me that doesn't sound worrisome to you? That they can say it works, with no issues. But hasn't been tested as such?

In a perfect world, the editors and higher-ups stick to what the person reviewing the game says. That said, no, they aren't. There have been multiple people that scored a game lower than the publisher would have liked and heads have rolled. I'd like to believe that in larger outlets this is no possible, but I doubt it. it's all about the corporate suits, the money, and the clicks. Let's not even get into the fans who'll give you shit for a lower rating on a game they fell deserves it or a game that gets praised when they think it's trash. So, no.

Thread EA: Why are you sending all your new games to die this Fall?
For Star Wars, it's a Star Wars game. The attached name alone will sell the game. Not to mention there's been plenty of TV commercials for the game, multiple ads on websites, and glowing previews. It's one of the "must have games of Novem 2019", if not the year. It's going to sell. PVZ is doing well, it's just catered to a smaller crowd. NFS: Heat, is a different story. The series is dead and Heat could be the game to turn things around. Then again, racing games in general simply aren't doing like they used to. Adding to the success for Forza Horizon 4, most arcadey racing games haven't been able to get from under its shadow. I don't see this game doing well unless it's stellar. EA knows this.

No words for this. A review is a review, but a port needs to cover everything that's new. Tell us how the port fares against the console versions, hows the framerate on mid-range to high PCs. Does it make the game better? Does the port have PC-centric options? Can we tweak the game settings or is it bare bones? Stuff like that. There's zero need to do the same review if it's pretty much word for word from a previous review.

Just putting it out there, but Nvidia released some more info on trying to play this at 4K. Anything less than an RTX 2080 Ti (and even that) won't be able to run the game at 4K60 FPS at it's highest. "For 1920x1080, Nvidia recommends an RTX 2060, but if you want to bump the detail level past high, it recommends an RTX 2070 or RTX 2070 Super. The latter will also get you over 60 fps at 2560x1440, too, but Nvidia says you'll need the beefy RTX 2080 Ti if you want to bump the settings up to ultra. If you want 60 fps at 4K, you'll need to reduce the settings even on a 2080 Ti. To see Red Dead Redemption 2 at its very best, you might just have to stomach a lower framerate. Nvidia also recommends upscaling to 4K from a lower resolution." My game is still unpacking, so I can't test it yet. Still, that's a bit troubling as Rockstar released their PC specs a while ago and most assumed they'd be fine with that was shown.

As mentioned, however, let me add my two cents. The Elgato HD60 S is a good device (external), as is the AVerMedia Live Gamer Mini. If they are just going to capture 1080p footage then both are great. Also keep in mind that the Elgato HD60 S and HD60 S+ (4K passthrough) requires a USB 3.0 port. The Live Gamer Mini does not, it uses 2.0 and has near-zero latency. It's also a few dollars cheaper. You also can place a Splitter that connects to the Console and TV ->, so you don't have to reply on the passthrough of the device. The good thing about that is if the capture device is off, or the PC is off, you can still play the console.

Oh.. try the store first before contacting MS.Take off the dynamic resolution by changing the minimum FPS to 0. If you set it to 30/60, it will scale the game. Also, take off ultra textures if you have them installed and play at high. There's little difference from Ultra -> High.

House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn is supposed to be available at all Round1 locations, so I'm waiting on that. I think the future of arcades in the US is places like this and DnB. The problem is we won't see the heydays of arcades from these places since most of the stuff we like is niche. That means an arm and a leg to get them in or import them and most places aren't too keen about that.

Thread Is it just me, or are the advantages of PC gaming diminishing?
Before I rant, I don't want you to think I'm being an ass or anything. Sometimes I come off that way, but that's not my goal. Merely to inform and to convey my opinions, nothing more. 1. Cheaper games are still a thing. However, if you only rely on Steam or storefronts, you're basically doing nothing. Yes, some companies are locking down their games and negating those discounts. However, there are still a number of games to be had for a fraction of the costs. Even still, I'd take a $10 discount on a new game via Greenmangaming or elsewhere, compared to full price. Excepting to get games for dirt cheap isn't realistic IMHO. 2. Modding is still very much a thing. Just take a look over at Nexusmods. As long as a game's exe or api calls are a thing, there will be no way to stop modding. 3. Cheats and PC gaming go hand in hand. There are always new trainers being released for games and constantly updated. Just like I mentioned for modding, cheating follows this as well. For every company that advertises their cheats, there are 100 more who do it and stay under the radar. 4. Inconvenience... stop. This is complete nonsense. Yes, there are tons of launchers but there have been solutions/workarounds for this for quite some time. Playnite, Launchbox, GOG Galaxy 2.0 (beta) for example. I agree it stinks, but there's nothing we can do about it. The most we can do is adapt and learn to live with this mess. I doubt we've seen the last of this. 5. Hardware prices? Really? Paying $500 for an Xbox One X or $400 or a PS4 Pro isn't a big deal? Not to mention a 4K TV, controllers, etc? PC gaming isn't about being pricey. Yes, it does it expensive but only if you make it that way. You can spend $600 for a fairly decent 1080p machine or thousands of dollars to have that 4K devouring beast. It's about what you want and how you want it. Yes, the market dictates this, but PC gamers are used to this mess. Ram and GPU prices haven't been kind to us over the past 2 years. However, those already invested know the game and usually sell off parts to buy new parts. While others just wait until they see a deal. 6. We will NEVER see multiplayer locked behind a paywall on PC. The moment someone does that, that isn't an MMO, that game is dead. Hell, some MMO's that did this ended up going F2P. Microsoft tried it and it failed. Since then, no one has tried it because it simply won't fly on the PC platform. As a gaming platform, the PC does have some cons, but I feel the pros outweigh them. Upgrades, being able to bypass 30FPS on most games, even if it's not officially supported. Widescreen gaming, cheats, free games, indie games, modding, emulation and the list goes on. Hell, I love that we can even play other console games on the PC thanks to emulation.... with better framerates and AA as well. I'm sorry you feel this way, OP. But of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and thoughts.

There was no beta for Stadia. There was a beta for Project Stream that let you play Assassin's Creed Odyssey via a browser. Nothing more. You couldn't change settings, you could use a controller as long as the PC recognized it. That's it. Since then, Stadia has changed and no one outsides of the elusive circle or Google knows anything regarding the performance. As for me, Project Stream was alright, if you like not being able to change anything or having the quality constantly change on you despite being connected to 1GB up/down connection. There was also a fair bit of input delay, but being the game that it was, it was masked since ACO didn't' require split-second timing. So latency didn't really ruin the experience unless you were hitting past 100ms+. There was no beta for Stadia as it is now, using the Chromecast. Which isn't the same thing. That said, I did pre-order the Stadia Founders Edition. My job (hobby) is to review/check out the system as it is and provide feedback. No provide negative outtakes or attempting to cause fear regarding something that might end up being fairly decent. If it fails, it fails. But if it takes off, well, game streaming will be all the much better between this and Project xCloud.

I don't work for Google (Damn it) so I can't say if there will or won't be a beta. I will say this, everyone so far is under the impression that Stadia Pro is basically the beta since the free version (not really free) doesn't get released until 2020. Only Stadia Pro will be available in November, which is the paid version. Going off that, it would seem that Google will be taking feedback and impressions from those who are on the Pro version and using that towards the free version. As far as how F2P games will work, I really don't know atm.

I really don't want to go AIO as I've had issues in the past with some of them being loud, but I haven't ruled them out. My main concern is cooling and this Hyper 212 ain't cutting it anymore. Idling, it sits at 45-50c, under load, it hits 70-75c. Sure, my thermal paste may need to be redone, but I feel it's time for this cooler to go. These would be going into a Fractal R5 Define, with 1 exhaust and two intakes on the front. So far I'm looking at the following;Any thoughts on these? Looking to pull the trigger today, so I can play with it this weekend.

As someone who runs a smaller gaming orientated site, this is easy. While you may think these personalities are bad or toxic, there's a vast majority who still eat up everything that they do and say. Which means clicks and traffic and it brings people to whoever reports on/interviews these people. Fanbase rules all, like it or not.

That's obviously another concern ;). I'm just pointing out there's no storage available in this variable. This is a streaming service, it was planned as a streaming service and I doubt Google will use it for anything else. The lack of a "box" is what kills any possible download ability.

Part of me believes they will if sales don't pan out the way they want them to. However, this would require them to introduce a dongle with storage. Chromecasts don't have much storage as it is, I think it's less than 10GB. So they would need a massive dongle.... or a console, which would also defeat the purpose of Stadia. So, no.

Outside of being a 2D brawler, SoR added specials (calling in that police car for the first time), better animation, larger spites, larger moveset for the characters and even air attacks by tossing a partner. I'd say if you can find a GTX 1080 Ti for under $600, get it. After owning both the RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 (upgraded to the Ti), the GTX 1080T Ti is still a great card. You're also paying double the price for just a 33% performance difference. Which is exactly why I kept my GTX 1080 Ti and put it in my Streaming PC. It handles 4K (loudly) and the price per performance can't be beaten. Nvidia dropped the ball on RTX. Not everyone wants Ray Tracing.

The only way this can be solved, and you ain't gonna like it, is if companies start punishing people for uploading before a certain time. Just like what Atlus did for Persona 5. If you uploaded before a certain date and up to a certain point, they had YouTube pull the footage. Some people ended up with strikes. The only way you're going to stop this is enforcement. As for why they're being pushed on you? They're trending. They've seen your past history is about video games, so it figures that you might like that. The system is doing its job, it's just that what it's doing, you don't care for.

Which can be said about a huge variety of games. There simply isn't anything really new in games at all, as most of it has already been done. But if a specific genre is a favorite or enjoyable, why is does that matter? It's the design of said game that matters, not that you played a game like this before. Hell, name one first-person shooter that hasn't done something that another one has? Or any game for that matter? Sure, once in a blue moon we get something that's amazing and then it gets incorporated into other games and then it's no longer special.

I would't call it grinding. Hell, you can raise the 3 factions to level 5 and move on. Which you'll end up getting the points after doing a handful of missions. The map is ridiculed with icons as they represent a lot of stuff. Missions you need to do, areas you been, stuff you found, extra stuff you can do, etc. There are multiple currencies but it isn't as complex as people are making it. The main issue is the tasks, which does get repetitive, I agree 100%.

Some of these reviews aren't making any sense. You can also tell who rushed through the game. Most are stating these' not much to do and that's completely wrong. The issue is the story doesn't take advantage of the vast open world. It's mainly fetching quests. That's going to hurt the game for those who didn't do anything other than the story. Which means they missed out on stuff. Arks that are hidden in the world, storage chests and more. This is a design issue and by not forcing people to explore, this is sad.

I'm in the same possible as I've held on to my Samsung Tab S2 since day one. Sadly, it's not as fast nor does the battery last very long (in use) anymore. Sadly, the Android tablet scene has dried up. Lenovo is still making some cheap ones, as are a few other companies. The flagship Android tablets are either Samsung's S4 or the Google Slate and both are expensive, while the Slate is crap. For those prices, I could get either an iPad or a Surface. However, I don't like how Windows is on the Surface as a tablet experience. And as much as I am not an Apple fan, my entire household is on Apple devices. My daughter and wife's Android tablets and phones are iPhones and iPads and my Son now has an iPad. I'm the only one still rocking Android and while I'll never go iPhone, I am enjoying the iPad experience a bit more than I want to. Because they did this in the past, and people rejected this. Valve/Steam then changed their stance and this helped promote more games being available on Steam. Yes, shovelware is an issue, but this opened the doors to more games, especially indie games, being readily available. TLDR; it's bad, Valve knows it's bad, they've been told it's bad. As a soul veteran, it's not Dark Souls and that's a good thing. It's an amazing game, but it's not a souls game and is instead a different beast with several similarities. Tough as nails, I love the combat and so far I can't put it down. The parry system could do some work, as it's possible to get through many encounters without using it. Which is odd as this is supposed to be a huge mechanic that needs to be used. Instead, it's there to make encounters easier, if you use it.

So, this is very similar to a conversation that I had with my team a month ago. We wanted to start doing articles and perhaps some video on VR. The only issue, outside of no one having a VR set, despite PR keep sending us VR game codes, is no one is interested in covering them. I'd pick up either a PSVR (I've stopped myself 3 times now) or a Vive, but I simply have no interest in covering the technology or the games. Sure, it was interesting at the start (Oculus vs Vive vs PSVR), but the lack of killer apps ultimately killed any desire we had to cover VR. I didn't know Kinda Funny is doing a VR show, so I'll have to check that. But as many people have started, I'm also part of the issue. If there's a VR article/review, I tend to skip it as I have no desire or interest to ingest them. VR is definitely in a weird position right now.

Why not? They've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. More people buying the games since there are those still not wanting to give up Windows 7/8. More people who are willing to buy games on Steam vs the Windows Store. And MS is still making money off of the games. It's a win/win. I got my first card decades ago and it was a stick. Except I couldn't drive stick, so I was boned. The car was cheap, couldn't pass it up. Had a friend teach me in a few hours. Stick isn't hard, but it does require you to pay attention a bit more when you're starting out. Watching the RPM, knowing when to switch gears and knowing how to press the clutch. Cause if you mess up, the car will tell you. I don't have a stick anymore, because my wife refused to learn. But if I had a choice, I'd get a manual car all over agian. Says this: These titles feature aesthetic changes, roster shake-ups, and entirely new gameplay mechanics. These games experiment with character designs, stages, and new audio/visual styles. . Only mentions the meter in passing. Complains about Fatal Rush, Fatal Reversals, despite them being new features. The game adds 2 new characters, tweaked the gameplay, uses a new game engine, which did increase the IQ, among other things. Also, must have missed when SFV and Tekken 7 were released because man it was bad. Thinking the issue with reviewing fighting games is that you need to be familiar with the game you're reviewing as well as other games in the genre. Some don't need to add new stuff to entertaining. Others will need to build upon past games to stand out. As always, reviews are subjective but damn, we shouldn't ignore certain things and then complain X doesn't do what Y does.

Thread The Surge is a great game
Thank you! I've been playing this game since 3 weeks before it dropped and I did my best to tell people about it. Easily one of my favorite games that aren't part of the Soulsborne universe. The combat system is amazing, as is the craft/leveling aspect. The story was a bit weak, but is was way better than Lords of the Fallen. I've beaten this game 12 times now, sitting on a bunch of NG+++ saves. Just waiting for the new DLC. I was also the one who broke the news about the upcoming DLC at E3 2017 ;) The only thing I don't like about the game, is once you beat it, you're forced to do NG. You can't go back and do anything else. Though it makes sense, since it's so heavy in story.

The Surge and Nioh are similar, if only due to the combat. Both are fast-paced games, but that's about it. Nioh is about managing your ki pulse and switching stances. The Surge is like Bloodborne with Dark Souls mechanics. There's also a demo out for the game, so you can try it out.

Thread 1080p vs 4k
Yes, 4K TVs are more commonplace and it's no different than when 1080p/HD TVs started phasing out 480p TVs. The fact that you can still consume 1080p and other HD formats on a 4K TV only means that you can continue to do so. Consoles that play at 4K, unless they're outrageously priced are still only going to give us either the following; 1. 4K @ 30FPS 2. 4K @ 60FPS with compromises Or like the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, have games that offer a better IQ with better framerates. Which TV you have means nothing, unless they only output a 4K signal. Then that's a different story. As for me, I'd take a 1080p beast that has amazing AA/AN and never drops from 60fps. 4K is nice, but even on my PCs, it comes with a compromise. I rather not have that, especially with a console that is going to cost $500 and above. Just my .2 cents.

I haven't encountered a game in a while that did that. Things I don't like. Changing resolution or window/fullscreen requires a restart. Feels like a holdover from the console version. Black bars on the sides when running at 1440p. Textures are mudded/drab. I was hoping that we an HD texture pack or something. TAA is crap Widescreen is stretched ;(

I noticed that Atlus posted a new survey. In it they ask about what games you've played, owned, platforms you have, and more. During my time with the survey, they ask a lot of questions, but these keep popping up. ** North America market only** 1. Do you want a port (Xbox / Switch / PC) 2. Do you want DLC So it would seem Atlus is possibly looking to gauge if it's viable to port their games to the Xbox, PC, and Switch. And they're asking about every series that they have. However, there's a whole bunch of questions asked, not just about ports either. Collector editions, preorders, etc. Check out the survey .

I recently picked up a Surface Pro 6 for $699. Microsoft had it on sale and I got Bestbuy to price match it. The i5/8GB/12GB model. Ended picking up a keyboard as well. I'm still not 100% sure if I'll keep this, however, my time with the device has been hit and miss. I haven't used it for gaming, and I picked it up mainly to replace my aging Android tablet. In tablet mode, I'm still frustrated that features such as predictive typing and autocorrect don't work, while some of the gestures don't make any sense. Chrome has issues, especially if you use incognito mode, which sends the tablet into a frenzy and there's no fix yet. Despite this apparently being an issue for years. On the other side, I love the power that the device has. With a keyboard attached, I find myself taking this out of the house, more and more. Especially nice when I'm out with the family and I want to start working on a story for my website or if I want to check out some code. I've never been a fan of the Surface, mainly because I've had a laptop and I've never given the line a fair chance. But as I type this right now, I'm enjoying it.

Thread DAEMON X MACHINA has potential to be great, but is lacking where it counts
After playing the demo multiple times, I think Marvelous has a hit on their hands. As a big fan of Armored Core and other mech games, this checks nearly every box. However, as many mentioned, there is room for improvement. Performance in docked mode... hell even undocked, needs to be 30fps for this sort of game. The controls are also a concern. Aiming is an issue, especially when shooting down smaller enemies. Mech speed could be a bit faster as well. I thought the control scheme actually worked well. Saw some people asking about melee and I really don't think it was a part of the game design, more of an afterthought. And I totally agree. Being able to pick a melee weapon or something off the ground and beating another machine to kingdom come is something that needs to be there. Also, how they handle out of bounds needs to be revamped. Especially when you're forced back and you lose all control over the mech. I was a ping pong ball, being forced back in and knocked out again by the stage 4 boss when the shields were activated. I didn't get a survey yet, I'm hoping I do.

Late to the party, but I feel you. Ran into a bunch of issues when I got my house. Ended up replacing the roof after 2 years.. It was in terrible shape and the previous owner really screwed me over. It had 3 layers of shingles, and I still don't get how the inspector missed that. Had to have a water/tile system put in place for the basement, otherwise, whenever it rained hard, we'd get water down there. Those two alone were $15,000. And that's only after 2 years - been here for 5. Houses can definitely become money pits. But I'd do it anytime, especially compared to living in an apartment or a crappy townhouse. And you've completely missed the point, especially if you game on the PC. If I was someone who was building a PC for the first time and followed their recommendations, I would have hosed my PC. Thermal paste on top of the IHS with the original thermal tape already on the heatsink? What's that going to do? I 'll tell you, cause your shit to overheat. He also placed the GPU right smack against the ram, which can cause issues. Telling people that placing their PSU into a case without isolation grommets are going to cause your PSU to short circuit. What? Yeah, you've missed the point completely. Bad advice and a bad how to build a PC from a website/organization that is known for its tech know-how and is built around tech enthusiasts, that video is a bad look. So, telling people how to do something that is completely wrong is ok? Being elitist is going around saying or acting like I'm better than you and this is why. Pointing out mistakes that were made by someone how should have at least know the basics of computer building isn't elitist. He didn't go call him an idiot or tell him to die in a fire. He pointed out huge issues and last I checked, calling out a problem isn't considered elitist.

Yeah, this is weird. My GTX 1080 paired with a Ryzen 1700x was nowhere near close to 94.8 fps. It barely hit an average of 60 fps. Love to know how these numbers were arrived at. And reading the article didn't help.

Yep. I was highly disappointed about the weapon-gating. And the last level, why couldn't the entire game be like that. Really stinks that's the only segment we get like that.Image quality slider.

I didn't add that in my review, but let's talk about that. When I was benchmarking on my other PC, I didn't sign into the launcher. It then said it couldn't do anything because it can't verify (or something to that). I did this again on another PC and I signed out of the launcher and disconnected my nic. I was still able to run the benchmark, which requires the game. I then fired up the game via the exe and it still loaded up. So, I guess for now we don't need to be connected?

My review at The Outerhaven - 4.5/5. I do address it in my review. Mainly my stance on the matter and also issues/problems presented by the EGS. Mainly not being able to find and tweak the ini files. Which is a huge issue for me, as I game on a widescreen monitor. In the previous games I could access the ini and change the configs. Can't do it here. I've contacted Epic multiple times regarding the location and they wouldn't tell me.

I want to apologize ahead of time. My review is very long, but I wanted to get specifics across. I don't like holding back then I'm talking about a review, so this one is pretty long.
