Thread PC questions that don't really deserve their own thread.
Thanks for the kind words. The Big Picture mode is one of the features that is fairly often mentioned by users and definitely something we want to look into. At the same time, it seems as a big project if we want to deliver a good quality product (and we do!). So if there will be any updates on it, we will let you all know.

Hi all! First I want to wish all of you all the best in 2020. What a year this will be! :D Now, back to your questions. Thanks for all the kind words! As for World War Z, this is weird. Have you tried disconnecting the integration and running it back?Sorry to hear that. We're constantly working on improving the performance of the app. With some integrations, since they are community created, there's not much we can do, other than try to contact the creators and let them know about issues. Our goal is to bring official integrations to as many platforms as possible.Just click on the options button (on the right to the "Link executable" button) and pick "Remove from library".Sorry to hear that. We've done a lot of fixes to improve integrations connection stability, so it should be better now. Thanks for the feedback. As you know the app is in beta phase and we're constantly working not only on new features but on improving the existing ones. If games don't show up after buying them (I know that was the case during Winter Sale periods) give it a few minutes or use the "Sync integrations" option from the settings drop-down menu.So it works as intended :)Good to hear it works well for you. Thanks!

No, the feature of seeing your friends' online status and what they are playing is already live. The possibility to chat cross-platforms is not there yet.Of course! Our goal is to provide as many official integrations for major platforms as possible. But since we know this process takes time, we've allowed the community to create their own integrations.

That's an interesting question :) I actually checked this now. If you buy a game that is hidden in your GOG GALAXY 2.0 on a different platform than the one you own it already on, the game will become visible in the app and both versions will be stacked together.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 takes the information from your PSN account, and if you look into your PSN profile on the console you can see all the games you played on PS4, not only the digital ones. But if you want to see only the games you actually own, you can always hide any game in your GOG GALAXY 2.0 library - just right-click on the game, and choose "Hide game" option.

Friends from other platforms will be displayed on the right-side of the app, in friends sidebar. If you cannot see it, please try stretching the app's window to make it wider - the sidebar shows once the window has more than 1500px width. The "Friends box" you mention is the one for your GOG friends, where you can chat with them and send invites. Hope this helps.Sorry, there were some issues with syncing because of the big load on GOG.COM caused by the Winter Sale launch. The issue should now be fixed.Sorry for that. Again, this might have been caused by the Winter Sale craziness. If you still experience it, please report it via the app. Thanks!Bookmarks in GOG GALAXY 2.0 work as saving custom views. For example, if you want to create a bookmark with your Switch games, you have to follow these steps: 1) search for the Switch games via Global Search option (Ctrl+F or CMD+F), since there is no Nintendo Switch integration that could gather these games for you, 2) add a tag to each Switch game you're adding to your library - you can add tags by going to "Edit" option or right-click on the game and choose "Manage tags", 3) once you have all games tagged, go to "All games" view, filter it by your Switch tag, and click on the bookmark icon (top-left next to arrows). Hope that helps.

Thread GOG Galaxy 2.0 now in open beta
Hey all! Wanted to drop in and make a thread but you've been faster than me ;) Below I'm adding our official press release about the open beta. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I'll try to answer them. And do try out the app and let us know what you think. Thanks! ***** Let’s put an end to resource-heavy clients running all the time and us juggling between multiple apps to access our games and see what our friends are playing. GOG GALAXY 2.0 conveniently shows you all your games as one library and makes it easier than ever to stay in touch with your friends across PC and console platforms. “For the past few years, we’ve seen continuous fragmentation of our game collections and gaming friends lists, further proving the need for an application that unites them all,” says Piotr Karwowski, Managing Director at GOG. “And I’m sure there are even more clients and launchers on the way,” Karwowski adds. “We’re amazed and thankful for the reaction from the community to the app and taking it even further by creating integrations with 20 gaming platforms – allowing everyone to see all their games and friends in GOG GALAXY 2.0.” The closed beta brought numerous big updates like seeing friends’ online status from different platforms in GOG GALAXY 2.0 or adding Global Search. The latter allows multiple options – finding games and friends, launching games with a single press of a key and giving the ability to manually add any game to the library. We can’t wait to see what you have to say about GOG GALAXY 2.0! Let us know what you think and want to see improved – share feedback via the in-app option, , and the official . Watch the Download the app and connect GOG GALAXY 2.0 with your other preferred platforms through 20 official and community-created integrations. Import and organize all your PC and console games in one library, install and launch PC titles, keep track of your progress and see your friends’ status, achievements and game time across all gaming platforms. The app is also the best way to run and update your DRM-free GOG.COM games library. Everything is designed with your privacy in mind – no spying, no sharing with third parties, and all your data belongs to you. You can join the GOG GALAXY 2.0 Open Beta now by downloading the app for Windows or Mac. Visit for more information about what to expect once the app launches officially.

Our goal is to bring as many official integrations as we can, it just takes a bit of time. And BTW, I have to admit that the community is doing an awesome job on those integrations! The section "Recently played by others" shows games that your friends are playing and popular games among all gamers in general - Pokemon still stands strong :)

No such option available currently. You need to do it manually.Ok, got it now about setting launch options. Launching games with parameters is something we plan to add for GOG.COM games. When it comes to such feature for other platforms, you won't be able to do that via GOG GALAXY 2.0, at least for now. I'm pretty sure that if you set up parameters on Steam, while launching the game via GOG GALAXY 2.0, these parameters should be taken into account. As for game time tracking for manually added games, once you launch such game via GOG GALAXY 2.0, the app will track your time. But there is no way for now to manually edit game time.Great!

I don't think this is something we currently have in our scope of work.Integration with HLTB is a neat idea indeed. While it's not something we're currently working on, I'm sure some able programmers from our community would be able to make this happen through community-created integrations. You mean adding games to wishlist with a right-click in the store section in GOG GALAXY? We have big plans for all the social features, so please stand by. When it comes to your profile on GOG.COM, you won't be able to see anything that is outside of GOG.COM, since that profile is strictly connected to our store not GOG GALAXY 2.0 app.Nothing we can share at the moment. It was never our intention to bypass other clients. Playing a Steam game, you still want to use all the Steam platform features like achievements, cloud-saves, playtime, etc., right? Our goal with GOG GALAXY 2.0 is to make it easier for gamers to gather all their games that are spread among different platforms and launch it from one place, while still having access to all the platform-specific features. And on top of that, we want to bring all your friends that you have on different platforms for simple way to see what they are playing and chat with them no matter which platform they currently are using.

If I remember correctly, once you stop using PSN+, all those games you got from the subscription are taken away, probably that's why you can't see them in GOG GALAXY 2.0. Also, please keep in mind that the PSN integration is one done by the community, so it uses the publicly available information from your account rather than operate on an official API.That's weird, as the games mentioned by you, show up in my library of PSN games. Try maybe refreshing the integration or reconnecting it. And as mentioned above, keep in mind the PSN integration is not an official one but done by the community, so it may miss some features or be buggy at times. You can! Just right-click on the game's cover and choose "Play" or "Install" :)Try checking your SPAM folder as well, maybe the invite is there. That's a matter of adding specific titles to our database. |I checked and Twisted Insurrection is not there, but you can report it via the app and we'll see if we can add it.Automated tagging. Interesting idea. If possible, please drop that piece of feedback via the Feedback option in the app, so our devs can look into that and maybe figure something out :)It's on our list ;)Could you please report that via the app, so we can look into this in detail? Yes, you can add games manually :) With the latest Atlas Update, we've introduced Global Search which allows you to search for games in your library, your friends, but also for any game in existence. Once you find a game, you can mark it as owned and it's added to your library. Then you can also link an executable and launch the game via GOG GALAXY 2.0 - this way the app will also track your game time. Check the video of the update - There is a community integration for PSN that adds your PS4 games to the library, together with all achievements you've earned.Welcome! Welcome to the GOG GALAXY 2.0 family ;) As for character limit for tags, that's a good find - please submit the feedback via the app. Thanks! You mean like every game, not only Steam games? I guess it could be developed as an unofficial integration. Or it would work once and if we'd add some kind of "Big Picture" mode to the app.Yes, there is a PS4 integration made by the community – it gathers all games you own on PS4 with achievements. It's pretty neat I have to say :)Good catch! Once you add a game manually and add .exe file to it, it will be recognized in the "Installed" bookmark, but somehow it's not grouped. Thanks for reporting that! Thanks for the kind words! Happy to hear you like the "Recent" view :)There is a community integration for the Twitch app on GitHub.Welcome! :)Game time is taken by the integrations from your account info.I don't think we considered adding an option to edit it manually. As for game titles, you can edit that information for every game in your library (just right-click on any game and choose "Edit"), and it should fix any sorting problems.Platform names are based on integrations, and since there is no Switch integration, manually added games from this console will end up in the "Other" section.Welcome! :)

I don't believe there is one. But you can add Switch games with the newly added Global Search option as it searches through all games in existence.Glad you received the invite, and hope you'll enjoy what is there. Also, if you'll have any feedback about the app, please let us know! As for the Steam Controller, I'd need to check with devs to be 100% sure, but since launching a Steam game via GOG GALAXY 2.0 is launching Steam and the game, it should work out of the box without any issues. We are working on adding more official integrations to GOG GALAXY 2.0, and we're in talks with all major platforms, so we're hopeful we will add them - our goal is to have all major platforms as official integrations. At the same time, as we know it takes time, on both legal/business and technical levels, we decided to give the community to create their own open-source integrations. This proved to be a good way as already, in limited closed beta, we have around 20 community integrations! As for the second question, a list of all your games including your progress in them (like achievements and game time) is already there in GOG GALAXY 2.0. There is an official integration for Xbox Live and one created by the community for PSN. Both will import your games from console, together with progress they track like game time or achievements. When it comes to games you see in "Recently played by others" section, this list is based on games popular among your friends and among all gamers in general. With the Global Search now available in the app, you can also find any game, from any platform or console, and add it manually to your collection.
