Thread Persona 5 Strikers |OT| Road Warriors
I noticed that each jail is meant for one side character so that's the one I always rotate in. Even if they start out under leveled by the end of the jail they always end up on par with the rest. So my team is always Joker, Mona, Sophie & obvious jail choice. I realized it more by the 3rd jail that's how the game wants us to play I suppose. Coz conveniently that character's element will be very beneficial for the enemies you encounter and the monarch. For example first jail Ann, second Yusuke, and third Haru.

Thread Anyone watched the new Denzel Washington movie on HBO Max? (The Little Things) *mark your spoilers*
I thought the first 2/3rds of the movie was fine. And I get what they were going for but the ending just doesn't work at all. I laughed out loud when that song started playing when the movie ended. It just sounded so awkwardly uplifting.

That might be possible but the actual things you have to do is very easy that's why getting them feels easy too. Coz you have two dailys and two weeklies that award the points. What's good about is you can swap them out if the tasks themselves feel unachievable.

Yeah that baffled me for a bit but to unlock the mythic tales you have to find the NPC first that talks about it. Then the tale unlocks and you can start it by following the marker on the map. Just keep finding those survivor camps or rescue people and talk to NPCs with dialogue.

I was actually surprised that other reviewers didn't encounter this issue. It's especially apparent when walking into buildings and at times it was just crazy dark. I just made it into an inside joke that lanterns back then really were crap.

Yeah doing a perfect parry or perfect dodge results in a instakill. You can even get a charm to boost the window but it doesn't make it a walk in the park just achieveable. You will need that roll tho especially sometimes the enemies can be annoyingly aggressive just to open up space. Especially the spearmen who sometimes can have annoyingly long homing reaches when they thrust. No difficulty trophies too.

1) played on pro but it was smooth. 2) played it on hard from start to finish. I feel that's the best difficulty to play it on as even tho in the beginning it might feel frustrating it evens out. And yes enemies can mob you so your best offense is to be defensive to find openings. 3) circle button is dodge/ evade which you can upgrade for rolls. And yea you can choose not to roll and focus on just blocking and parrying. But eventually you will use the dodges and rolls.

1) nope 2) there is but it's very minimal. Usually it's losing an arm when Jin performs a special move and beheading which only happens for generals. It can result in a hilarious bug as some enemies when defeated will crawl around until you end their suffering but having a headless general still crawl around made me laugh more than once.

There are some markers that do appear on the map like towns but enemy encampments are usually discovered through explorations or from rescued NPCs. When you do clear the encampment it defogs the surrounding areas of that encampment revealing points of interest.

yeah I had one that was game-breaking as well late in the game but luckily the checkpoint system is really fast so it felt alright. Just on a side note I really can't wait to hear everyone's full impressions of the game. I truly believe that this game is really something special.

Thread So... Assassin's Creed: Origins is awful.
I do agree with you OP and if you think Origins is bad wait till you play Odyssey. My problem with these games is how it so clearly feels like it's made by a huge team but doesn't feel cohesive enough or have a vision. It just feels like so many things stuffed together which work well enough but none of it ever feels truly exceptional. I finished Origins and thought it was just alright and tried Odyssey as many were saying it's leagues better and although some things are ultimately most of it feels even worse and I dropped the game after the 80 hours mark. I just couldn't do it anymore and it just never got better.

They are also terrible with directions as they almost always manage to be right behind the heroes planet hopping yet lose them on every planet they go to. At least they get to stand around posing menacingly.

I think the biggest problem for me was how dumb palpatines plan was. They literally had what I'm assuming to be hundreds of planet killing star destroyers and he decides to just keep them on planet and announce he is back.

Coz I've hung around trying to trigger things to happen and kept wishing it was like a secret boss or something. Then I asked a couple other reviewers and they said the same thing that it's the memory chips. Man did I really wish it was something else. I still do.

That's why I scored it pretty high as apart from one mission (involving mama) I loved it end to end. Funny enough I still have colleagues asking me to this day if I still love it after digesting it for weeks now. I still very much do.

When it comes to story I rather you play and find out. It's one thing to be told the story and it's another thing experiencing it for yourself.

Yeah you are probably gonna be disappointed. I wouldn't say the boss fights are bad per se but it just has depth in other areas concerning mostly managing Sam and your health and the cargo you are carrying. The boss fight itself is just running around pointing and shooting. I mean even on normal I don't think I ever felt the threat of death from a boss.

The immediate area that changes when you fight a boss is quite interesting. The bosses themselves look spectacular but I got used to the actual mechanics of the fight quick. When you fight one of those BT minibosses and the environment shifts its always a stressful time because if you are not prepared you just want to run away but once you are you will be like "MY TURN"

I think that's entirely up to you. I didn't feel like I needed the fights to be harder but at least variation in tactics would have been good. Like having multi-layered fights would have been something special.

Well to be fair when you play the game you will probably understand why he is the only ever present threat but I do somewhat wish for the same as well. I do understand that they had a singular focus though on what they wanted the player to experience. If they do decide to make a sequel hopefully that will be one aspect that is much improved.

Unfortunately no. Higgs is the only ever present threat and that's only in cutscenes. Until your fated encounter of course. I didn't really feel the lack of the homo demens presence because the journey itself has you against the terrain, timefall, mules, BTs and you have limited space and need to take care of your cargo. It can be alot to juggle moreso if you need to get your cargo in the best condition to the destination.

1) it's mostly getting your delivery items, being prepared for the journey and getting your cargo there in the best possible condition. I rarely rummage through things unless it's "lost cargo" that coincidentally go to my destination or somewhere nearby. The whole experience is pretty chill aside from the stressful BT moments. 2) the story was great for me. There is alot of reading material that explain and flesh out the world and characters. 3) Yeah boss fights are quite easy tbh. 4) I wouldn't say the deliveries get harder. There might be a large amount of cargo but with the right planning it's still pretty easy to execute. The way the rewards work is a Star system. Each "port" has a maximum of 5 stars and with each delivery it climbs higher. So if let's say this particular port gives you the ability to fabricate boots at 2 stars, the higher you raise it you unlock lvl2 and 3 variants of the boots which are better. 5) there is a codec equivalent. 6) as far as I know there is only two ways. The first is in your private quarters and the second is when you build structures around the world. You can upgrade the structure and the next lvl gives you the ability to attach music to it so anyone who comes across can hear the music.

Like quest switching using the dpad, teleporting to your vehicle from anywhere, selling all junk, just basic things that used to feel a little tedious in BL2 that thankfully doesn't here. I mean thank god for auto ammo collect from boxes.

I dunno about the regular PS4 but resolution mode on the pro had alot of stuttering even when nothing was going on. Thankfully framerate mode ran great. And tbh I didn't really see much of a difference in both modes except for the framerate running much better.
