ThreadWarGroove: Double Trouble (free DLC) releases February 6 for PC/Switch/Xbox One, later on PS4
The new campaign is smaller than the original campaign, but still a pretty sizeable chunk of content. The free DLC adds quite a lot, and I'm excited to see what you guys think. We spent a pretty long time on it!
There's a lot of conflicting advice in this thread, and people are giving it as if they are qualified. I would consult your doctor as it sounds like you're undergoing stress.

This game is incredibly, unforgivably buggy on Xbox. Glitches, poor performance and cutting out audio nonwithstanding - I'm several hours in and the game now hangs for me when traveling to a new planet. How'd this game pass cert?
The new CO was revealed yesterday, and its a set of twins! The cool thing about these guys is you can choose between two separate grooves, although they both share one groove meter.
ThreadWarGroove Free DLC - Two new units, Rifleman and Thief
Not sure if you guys are aware, but we'll also be making some unit balance adjustments to a number of units and commanders around the time the DLC launches.

Really hoping for a patch on the base Xbox. The performance issues that are present throughout are sucking the enjoyment out of an otherwise very good game.
ThreadWargroove finally coming to PS4 - but no cross-MP
We wanted it to happen, but unfortunately it won't be supported. The cross-sharing means you won't miss out on all the custom content that people have been creating and sharing over the last few months though.

Hey, we're a developer first! We made Starbound and are currently developing the upcoming Wargroove!
Also we're developing the multiplayer for stardew valley in-house.
Patch has been sent off already, just waiting for approval now. It took longer than anticipated because we had to do a fair amount of testing, there were some sweeping changes to the game in the patch to things like fog of war for example - so we wanted to ensure everything was still behaving correctly.

I kinda blasted through this game over a couple days and it was everything I hoped for. There were some issues I had with the combat and if I had to choose I do think TNO's gunplay felt more satisfying. But the writing and the characters are just taken to a new level here. And the story certainly goes places.. I'm there for the next one.
We're still working away on our big quality of life update (lots of progress made here!) and we're looking into the possibility for save states mid mission, beyond the current suspend and resume functionality.
Should Wargroove have savestates in campaign mode? Currently we're thinking about limiting the ability to get an S rank if you use a save/load.
We hear you (this is pointed out a lot) and people will be pleased with the solution we're looking at. Ironically these used to be represented with symbols, but all the feedback we received suggested they were also indecipherable and hard to read.

So, Wargroove broke even over the weekend, we've covered the cost of development and the game is now profitable! we want to thank everyone for their support!
We made a quick blog post last night just running through what our plans are in the short term.
We have a patch going through submission right now that will fix a few bugs we weren't able to nail down in time, but the patch after that will include a number of quality of life fixes, such as:There's some additional info about our plans beyond that, so please for more details!
Also if anyone was wondering, based on feedback received over the last day or so.
As mentioned in our today, look for "quicker skipping of battle cutscenes, an option for faster map movement locked on by default, online play with bots, some tweaks to fog of war, and some other bits and bobs."
Yes looks like there are some big problems with the eShop right now. Obviously not great timing to experience these issues, but hopefully they will be resolved soon!
1) All of your progression will save and can be resumed mid-mission (on every platform), even if you exit out of the game.
2) Because of this, you don't have to complete a single mission in one play session.
3) However, If you fail the mission you will have to replay that mission from the beginning.
We're looking at all of the feedback we've received from reviewers and players now they have their hands on the game! I'm sure we'll be making some quality of life changes and additions in the future.
Just want to clarify some of the confusion in this thread, you can absolutely exit the game and resume back in again, your current progress will be resumed. If you lose a mission however, you will have to restart it from the beginning.
ThreadWargroove is putting most AAA to shame in terms of content and it is great !
The excitement on Resetera is really appreciated! We're so excited for everyone to get their hands on the game next week! I can confirm we have asynchronous online multiplayer, in addition to crossplay between Steam, Switch and Xbox One.
Nice OT! I'm a pixel artist / animator for chucklefish so I'll be posting in here pretty regularly!
I primarily use a Cintiq 13 tablet and Aseprite. Although before that i was using a regular mouse and Photoshop to do everything. Aseprite has much better animation tools so I'd recommend it!
