Chiama la polizia e chiedi se possono fare qualcosa. Anche due giorni fa abbiamo avuto tipo 50 persone in violazione della quarantena nonostante fossero addirittura positive. Sti coglioni hanno rotto il cazzo. (Sorry, rant in italian.) EDIT: and yes, i HATE when it comes to citizens being each other's police. But there's a point where stupidity must be punished and i think 15k deaths should be taken more seriously than a fucking birthday.

Well, "fudging" implies to mislead on purpose. I can assure you that while YES our (Italy) numbers are CERTAINLY higher in reality, the problem with not certifying ALL the covid deaths stemmed from basically not being able to keep up. Investigations are already occuring to try and have exact numbers.

ICU numbers would be pretty difficult to "fudge". Also, yes, actual deaths are important. It is also important to have all the medical staff and testing labs worry more about the living at the moment....especially when you have to call in army trucks to just deal with matters of volume and getting dead bodies out of homes. I honestly think we have been as transparent as we possibly could. To the point where, despite having the second best healthcare system in the world, i'm already seeing the narrative of "people in italy die because of shitty hospitals and doctors" creep up on the web here and there.

Thread Need help from 3d printer experts for buying my first!
As others have said, don't bother with multi-nozzles yet. I can recommend the CR10, the ability to print large object really comes in handy at times. With a few simple tweaks is also easy to make it comparable to a higher tier printer. I usually model and print: minis , BIG action figures and exo-prosthetics for dogs without legs (which i do for free cause i'm an idiot like that). Basically, the larger plate allows you to still print small stuff (even VERY small stuff if you just switch the nozzle to a smaller hole) but gives you the freedom to print very large things as well. Currently , thanks to the big plate, i'm also printing respiratory valves for my hospital. The downside of this is obviously that you need quite a bit of space for the machine. Other than that, i can honestly say i've been superhappy. Should you choose the CR10, don't hesitate messaging me and i'll tell you the simple things you can do to make it even better than it already is. (goes for anyone else in the thread with a cr10, of course) Cheers.

Thread I'm really confused by VR kits, help me out
Owned all 3, i stuck with the Rift-S and returned the other 2. Reasons being: 1) INCREDIBLY more comfortable (especially in regards to the quest), this is something you WILL notice in long sessions and it WILL make a difference. 2) The Link cable, while amazing in itself, is just not the same as having the thing native from the PC. Bottom line is (in my opinion): unless you REALLY value the portability - which is GREAT for those who make use of it, but the games quality isn't anywhere near what you get on pc in terms of graphics and performance - Go for the Rift S Before anyone asks: i didn't return the valve due to "not liking it" , it's just not a significant jump from the Rift-s compared to the steep price, also see point 1.

Last time, then i won't ever talk about this ever again. Here is the private message i sent to the "debunker" "What this article says is NOT AT ALL what you said. It says that people that didn't get tested for Covid-19 while they were alive but were under suspicion to be infected CAN still be tested after their death. As in "it's possible". In no way it says that it is MANDATORY as it is in other countries. I honestly don't know what to tell you. I realize emotions are running high, and i'm sorry if i touched a nerve. I never lied or misquoted anyone tho. I have no idea why the discussion has to turn into a "ME, NO, YOU, NO ME!!!" argument. I've been a journalist (not just gaming) for 22 years and currently working with ANSA and TGCOM specifically on unreported COVID deaths here in Italy (yes, we have those too). Doctors and the RKI "The Italians test deceased persons who had specific symptoms and bring them into the statistics — we in Germany do not," said Dietrich Rothenbacher, a professor at the Institute for Epidemiology and Medical Biometry at Ulm University. "It's a complex scenario," he said. Rothenbacher feels strongly that before any solid comparison can be made between countries, "the first step would be to obtain comparable numbers." Like, i know this gets people upset somehow, but so far there seemed to be way more voices saying they don't test than the ones that say they do. I understand is a decentralized system so it may actually vary WILDLY based on areas and hospitals since it's not (as per RKI) mandatory.

I have no idea why you guys are getting riled up, but the RKI -when asked- has said that it' not routine. I took it as not being something they "always do no matter what". EDIT: Sorry, had to find it. "The RKI says those who were not tested for Covid-19 in their lifetime but are suspected to have been infected with the virus “can” be tested after death, but in Germany’s decentralised health system this is not yet a routine practice. If they are indeed testing as much as the Virologist (and i'm not downplaying him, but for example one of our most know virologists said "it's nothing to be alarmed of" at the beginningof all the spread...hechanged histune pretty quickly) estimated, they are doing an amzing job.

I'm just reading the data, and if you check the last officially reported number of tests, and not an "estimate" with no data next to it, they seem to tell a different story. I mean there is a reason why all the experts are trying to study the situation, it's a big anomaly. Can i have an opinion based on their own numbers? -_-

Fontana isn't a fan of the current government, so any chances he has to spit on it is fine to him. No big surprises. As a side note, all those buying the numbers from Germany (if German) should trying calling in and ask for a test to see what the actual answer given is. I have many friends over there saying that they just tell you "it's probably a flu, stay home" and things like that. The last OFFICIALLY recorded numbers of tests per million - 15 march - tell an entirely different story, as well as the cause of death in relation to posthomous test not being performed, which are performed both in Italy and Spain. I hope, no: i PRAY all the gods old and new that they are just being amazingly efficient (they ARE german after all!)....but in my opinion there is some fuckery going around with the numbers. Especially counting that i live next to an Agrotourism and they are always filled with germans (as well as other EU people) that come over for a month or two to get treated in northern Italy in some of our clinics due do (their words) "being better equipped than the ones we have". I know: anecdotal, still...the WHO seems to agree in terms of healthcare rankings. EDIT: Also, i just checked to make sure, here are the world rankings for "healtiest population"

The fact that you have been in this thread since the beginning has evidently ZERO value as to your knowledge of even how this started spreading, where and why it's gone this bad this quick. Also you compare a country of 60 million people to the measures a country with 8 million or so can take AFTER they saw what happened here. But that's not even the point. And if you think saying "they really need help" after your "they shit the bed" would clear you of anything: you're wrong, it almost makes it more smug.. Anyway, i'm not gonna respond further. I guess i wasn't clear enough: i never said THIS IS THE CURE (multiple people felt the need to point out that "this isn't a cure!!!") ^_^'' The fact is that lung inflamation and kidney failure are the worst parts of this virus. Patients are already being treated with antivirals, and keeping the inflamation in check in severe cases leads to potentially MUCH better treatment.

Well as of now it's basically a month for us, but there are no obligations to not go to the grocery store and in-city deliveries are not forbidden. The point of this is not "stay inside the house" in the way it'd be if this was airborne. The goal is to not spread it around in other (less medically efficient) regions here in Italy, particularly the south. We expect to reach a peak in infections in 2-3 weeks from now and then, hopefully, a change in the trend curve.

I'm the black sheep in a (large) family of doctors, i have relatives (working) in all the major hospitals in the area as well as family friends in hospitals in the US, Netherlands and France. I'm in the hotzone here in Italy, on full lockdown and i'm quarantined myself. To all those that are downplaying this or that have friends and families that treat this like a flu: PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS LIGHTLY. The problem isn't the mortality rate - which is no joke anyway - rather the clogging of hospitals and the infecting of doctors, MANY people i see seem to think that this is now the ONLY disease. It's not. Other diseases and illnesses needing treatment won't take a break to give this one some space. ICU is needed by a ton of people everyday, you don't want to reach the point of "sorry...we don't have spots nor ventilation systems, also all the doctors are quarantined themselves soooo, bye?." We are extremely lucky that our healthcare system turned out to be even better and more prepared than we initially thought, and that the virus exploded in the north. Despite that, the system is now almost exploding and extreme measures are being discussed (moving cov-negative ICU patients in other hospitals far from the hot zone and such, which is no simple task to coordinate these days). And i'm not kidding, we are REALLY close to having to choose who's in and who's not based on survival chances. Stay at home as much as you can. If you have questions, i'm here.

I don't mean to hijack the bigger point of your thread. However, since the straw that broke the camel's back seems to be that and you made a big deal about it in this one, i went and checked it out. My only comment is that it all seems like an horrible waste of time, both the events described in your post AND the fact that you spent time making a thread about it in the first place. And it's super unhealthy. You said that the facts you described happened many times, then you proceeded to identify the problem's cause (or the predominant one , at least) in the fact that you had a profile picture that didn't match your appearance. I see a pretty simple solution - and you saw that too - that can be applied in literally 5 seconds: take a selfie and upload it. Think about how much time you probably spent being stressed about those situations to the point of feeling like you needed to vent and make that thread. I understand that you sent a recent picture before meeting the last person, but still...it could ALL have been avoided, easily. In short, what i'm saying is, (and this is my 2 cents for life in general, forget the Grindr thing for a second) sometimes the solutions to our problems are so simple that we almost don't accept them, and instead we go thru unhealthy mental processes that only make things worse. Life's too short to spend it trapped in our own mental uroboros and if a simple, innocuous, solution prevents us to go in a dark unhealthy place: go for it without wasting your precious time! Last thing, i also went thru your post history and i saw you also mentioned problems and . My lady works in that field, so if you want to shoot me a PM with some more specific details i can have her check it and see if she can help out somehow (to be clear: free of charge). Cheers.

Thread Should Reviewers Beat Games To Review Them?
I've been a gaming journo for 21 years now, worked for almost everyone (from playstation official magazine to psm, to occasionally kotaku and so on and on) and i've been and still am editor in chief of a few major publications....so i feel i should chime in on this. Whenever i was asked what i did for a living by some gamer that didn't know me, the reaction to my answer was always: "Oh my god, that's the best job ever!!! You play video games for a living, that's what dreams are made of!!!" And that couldn't be further from the truth. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE this job, but there's this weird, twisted, idilliac image often attached to it that doesn't take into consideration a bunch of things. Deadlines and responsibilities being probably the biggest ones. The "uneducated" (for lack of a better term) always starts from a place of "i totally want to write a review of this game i love" ...which...is fine, but i've seen so many young kids start strong and fall out of love with the job the moment theyrealize that it is, indeed: a job. Sometimes you need to cover shit games, overly long ones or games that just plain bore you to death...and, well, you suck it up and do it. What i'm trying to say here is that i understand how the Edge reviewer felt, i TOTALLY get it (not regarding DS, i'm speaking in general). However, if he was one of my guys and assuming i couldn't give the review to some other guy in a pinch, i would fire his ass without even blinking. That's because the job comes with responsibilities and you can't review a product without fully experiencing it., that's totally legit for any CONSUMER. If you've been gaming for a few years, you can actually know even by a lenghty gameplay trailer if it's a game for you or not. But if you are a professional, you MUST follow some rules and experiencing a product to its full extent is one of those rules. You're at the service of the readers, people that span from nerdy nerds to total casuals. What if at the end of the game there's a huge twist? It might not change YOUR opinion on the game...but there might be a reader out there looking exactly for that kind of thing. Long story short: i like the clause of "don't review it if you don't finish it", and while i'm probably gonna be accused of being an old dinosaur, i believe there's been a downfall in standards when it comes to games journalism in the last decade or so. Especially since personality took the place of professionality in many ways. Also, the mad rush for clicks and to be "the first" is not helping at all in terms of quality of the content. Sorry for the long post and the inevitable typos, i'm supershort on time due to a family lunch and don't have time to re-read. Peace.

Thread Let’s talk about online trolling in gaming, ERA.
For me , the worst is when in Rocket League i get paired with shit players that obviously got somehow carried to diamond. They do nothing while i carry the team and if (after performing ten or so crucial saves) i miss ONE ball: i guarantee one of the two is gonna start typing "m8....WTF?" and spamming the "What a SAVE!!!" quick-chat. Nothing gets my blood boiling like that shit. What makes me rage is the fact that even if you are oblivious to the game itself and who did work to win, you have also the player score for that specific game right in front of you...so i just sit there, with my 800 or 1k points getting shit-talked by them and their mighty 40 points. -_- On the upside, i have to admit that 2 or 3 times i actually encountered players that thanked me for carrying or that said they were sorry for not playing a good performance...but that was literally 2 or 3 games out of the thousands i had, but in those moments i literally loved those dudes.
