Ooo that looks beautiful. I believe this is what that Super Duper Graphics Pack was for the Xbox One X version but they scrapped it. This looks awesome.
ThreadReport: Morale among Microsoft's Mixer team is at an all-time low
Exactly this. Even YouTube Gaming struggles to compete with Twitch and they still blast Mixer out the water in both views and hours. I don't honestly see Mixer lasting by the end of 2021. I really do think Amazon or Google will buy the tech behind it and use it for their services at this point.
ThreadReport: Morale among Microsoft's Mixer team is at an all-time low
I can see where you'd come from with that but I'm not so sure Mixer has much of an impact in the technical aspect for that. Low latency isn't really something that they could necessarily help with as anyone can do it, just takes a LOT.
ThreadPlayStation Worldwide Studios |OT Se7en| What's in the box?
I agree. I just personally don't see it happening, but I would love if it they were allowed to keep doing VR. A LOT of Sony's studios have scaled back heavily in terms of creative games or VR to focus on bigger titles (like Santa Monica Studio and San Diego Studio) so Insomniac Games might join them in that respect.
ThreadPlayStation Worldwide Studios |OT Se7en| What's in the box?
Well you got to remember Insomniac doesn't work on a single project at a time, they haven't since the early 2000s. Especially with their VR and AR games being made left and right, there's probably 3-5 games at all times. I doubt they'll go back and forth to pull from game to game at this stage.
ThreadPlayStation Worldwide Studios |OT Se7en| What's in the box?
I believe it. The game hardly launched with much content (for example, Bikes should've been there Day 1) and the marketing was virtually non-existant. That seems about right for a budget if you asked me. Low investment + DLC out the wazoo = large gains is how Sony likely saw it but then it fell on its head.

Celeste wasn't 3D and it won a few GOTY awards. Astro Bot was VR and won multiple GOTY awards. AAA doesn't equate to good, we've seen this countless times before. Look at Journey, iirc it was the most awarded game of 2012 and it was an indie. People need to look at games in 2 ways; Art and Entertainment, not AAA and 3D.
ThreadPlayStation Worldwide Studios |OT Se7en| What's in the box?
Doubt it, given they just closed Manchester Studio a few weeks ago and Guerrilla Cambridge in early 2017 plus they never snapped up Quantic Dream. Plus Firespite Games and Impulse Gear haven't been wanting to be acquired iirc. Sony doesn't seem interested in the UK.
ThreadPS3 and BC: Do you think removing PS2 BC was worth it?
Getting rid of PS2 support was a massive mistake in my eyes. There were so many PS2 games I wish I could've played since my old console broke but I had a Super Slim so couldn't use any of the games. :/
I wouldn't say that. Media Molecule has talked about exporting creations to other platforms in the past and its something they're working on. So maybe within 2-3 years when these games are fully done they can be released to the masses?
I'm just going by this, and they mentioned allowing Dreams creations on other platforms, not specifically Dreams iirc.
"Despite rumours of PC versions of Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last Of Us Part 2, Healey said that a PC version of Dreams is not currently in development, but he implied that a PlayStation 5 was much more likely." -
ThreadWhat do you prefer: Opencritic scoring system vs Metacritic scoring system?
People, like you in particular, are the reason why I've been aiming for Metacritic as much as possible. So that way, while yes, JackofAllControllers.com is fairly small, we'd have the ability to have new people come in for perspectives since we're on a respected platform.
ThreadWhat do you prefer: Opencritic scoring system vs Metacritic scoring system?
That's mainly because OpenCritic still has a review process. It took my site JackofAllControllers.com months to get accepted since they don't let the average Joe shmo in. So for the most part it's the same reviewers across the board besides a few differences here or there.
ThreadUntitled Goose Game wins the DICE Awards Game of the Year award
Untitled Goose Game was easily one of, if not the best game of 2019 hands down. There wasn't much that could realistically compete with it. It was my personal 2019 GOTY.
ThreadPlayStation Worldwide Studios |OT6| The only JRPGs we're getting are Jim Ryan Party GIFs
Not surprising that they'll put it on PS5 since it is releasing so late in the generation. I wonder if there will be PS5 exclusive levels for the community to make to take advantage of the hardware.
ThreadPlayStation Worldwide Studios |OT6| The only JRPGs we're getting are Jim Ryan Party GIFs
Yeah Sony has Marvel's Iron Man (San Mateo Studio), Resident Evil 3 Remake (Visual Arts), Predator: Hunting Grounds , The Last of Us Part II, and Boundary. So it's definitely a better lineup then MLB: The Show 20 and Dreams.Manchester and London are extremely far apart, they aren't trucking everyone's lives that far away.
ThreadPlayStation Worldwide Studios |OT6| The only JRPGs we're getting are Jim Ryan Party GIFs
Oh absolutely. PixelOpus is a stupidly creative studio, VR is absolutely something they'll take advantage of. They remind me of Japan Studio's Team Asobi in terms of creativity.
