I love Mayor Pete, but to be clear his plan isn't to pack the court with liberal justices. It was that the debate needs to be had about how to make the supreme court less political as a institution, and he's suggested options that could work instead of the current system.
ThreadBorderlands 3 is coming to the Epic Games Store (Exclusivity Unknown) [Read Staff Post]
If EGS had features that made their service worth while, that would certainly entice people to use it. Right now, EGS lacks a lot of basic features for any sort of storefront/launcher. I could understand negotiating exclusive deals from a business perspective once EGS was more fleshed out to get people to try it (although as a consumer I strongly dislike exclusive deals), but with so many features lacking right now most anyone will use it for is for EGS exclusive games and little else.

ThreadIf given the choice, Would you rather Cure Cancer or eradicate World Hunger forever?
Cancer has, as far as we know, no solution yet. World hunger is solvable through already existing technology and policies. While I doubt it would ever actually be implemented, it could be implemented in the future if people come together. Whereas no matter how much people come together, cancer could simply have no cure. I'd choose cancer for that reason.
Thread2020 Democratic Presidential Primary | OT | Biden Mulls Abrams as Running Mate
I think anyone is free to like who they want to like. If you like Bernie more, that's your prerogative. I know I voted for him in the 2016 primary, and I can't fault anyone who votes for him this time around too. I view age as an assessment of elect-ability and risk. There is nothing wrong with being uncomfortable or comfortable voting for old candidates who are likely to die in office or may face challenges in a general election on account of their age. There is nothing wrong with preferring or not preferring candidates who might represent the youth and diversity in America and the Democratic Party better.
I think it is important to consider how you vote in elections. Do you vote based on whoever has the best policy? Do you vote based on whoever has the best charisma? Do you vote based on whoever represents diversity and change? Other factors? Some combination of those? There's a lot of ways to consider and choose what makes a candidate worth voting to you, and a candidate's age can and does often factor into how you make that decision, whether that happens implicitly or explicitly. It is an personal choice, and there's a lot of things that factor into it.
Thread2020 Democratic Presidential Primary | OT | Biden Mulls Abrams as Running Mate
It isn't ageism to want youth or a new generational face/change to the Democratic party. Age is a real concern when it comes to a presidential candidate. Dying in office is always a concern, among other things.
Thread[Forbes] What If Bungie Abandons PvP And Crucible Altogether For ‘Destiny 3’?
Simply put, it is a of work to balance things separately like that. It isn't as easy as simply flipping some sort of switch. I don't imagine they want to dedicate or allocate more resources to a balance team to handle each mode separately. It'd make more sense for them to de-emphasize the balance overhead as much as possible so they can allocate resources to game content which is the thing they've struggled with the most, generally. Budget-wise, the perspective from managers is likely that it is better to spend more money developing content than it is spending more money balancing because content is generally has a direct correlation to more revenue from season pass, DLC, etc.
Thread[Forbes] What If Bungie Abandons PvP And Crucible Altogether For ‘Destiny 3’?
The PvP in Destiny has poor balance because they never treated PvE and PvP separately. If they actually treated PvP as a separate thing with its own specific balancing and such, it would be a fair more enjoyable experience. PvE makes PvP unbalanced, and then they nerf gear for PvP which also nerfs for PvE. PvE and PvP being tied together both negatively impact each other. I don't think it is likely that they'll ever want to split them up balance-wise, and I'd much rather they kill PvP entirely and give me more PvE content instead of continuing to push PvP as part of the game.
I would say it is likely that a fair amount of people do PvP not of fun but necessity. The game arbitrary forces you into that content to gear up from dailies/weeklies and quests. Exotic-forced PvP quests are some of the worst parts of Destiny 2.

ThreadNY Times: Support of L.G.B.T. Rights Drops Among Young Republicans
The study not provide the % identified as Republican as far as I can tell. The article speculates the drop is a result of party identification, but surely you could easily confirm that by looking at the % who identify as Republican now vs the % who identified as Republican in 2015? It seems like an easy to confirm statistic, but one that wasn't part of the data set provided in the report, hence why it is a hypothesis.
One thing I found interesting is regarding the racial breakdown:
I would have excepted those who identify as white Americans to have the highest % due to white protestants, but black Americans actually have the highest % opposed in every demographic. I'd be curious to know why that is.I'm not sure I would call this a positive conclusion. Nationwide, the total support for discrimination protection has fallen in the past three years by 2 points.

They used the word exclusive on stage, but I edited it out for now until there is secondary confirmation.
We have some metrics in the GOTY thread , although I don't think any of them are what you are looking for.If that's what people want, we're all for it.
Hello community,
Thank you to everyone for another thrilling Games of the Year event here at ResetEra! Now that the votes have been counted and the results published, we on the GOTY team would like to take the opportunity to talk about what went well and what could go better next time. With this now being the second year that the team has handled this event, we've identified several recurring issues that I am going to highlight and address in this thread.
Although we've added tools to alleviate this issue, such as VoteBot and volunteers who alert voters to incorrect ballots, many posters are still formatting their votes incorrectly. Format mistakes make things harder for everyone involved! On a similar note, we've seen a lot of typos and spelling issues such as forgetting a colon in a game's name, leaving a letter off the end, forgetting a "the" at the start of a game name, and so on. This can result in votes not counting, and it creates additional work for vote tabulation to ensure that we've consolidated the votes for every misspelling and permutation of a game's name. This is something we want to try and reduce as much as possible going forward.
Remakes and remasters have been a common point of confusion. We received a lot of questions why a game such as Hollow Knight and Shadow of the Colossus was not eligible for Game of the Year voting while Let's Go, for example, was. While we've tried to be clear about what criteria is used to define the remake/remaster category, the results are still generating a lot of confusion.
There have been some issues with how categories are handled for GOTY voting. Because GOTY voting is a single ballot for Game of the Year, there is no individual voting for specific categories such as best RPG and such. Instead, we use meta tags to handle category placement and results. For example, God of War had the following meta tags: Playstation 4 and Action-Adventure. This means that the game was only eligible for those categories, and the votes for the game in those categories are the same as the votes for the overall GOTY list.
This can create strange scenarios where a game, for example, has a bad port on one system but still receives a high result for that platform's results because the game was fine on another system. Another strange scenario: In 2018 voting, Assassin's Creed Odyssey placed on the Best Switch Game list because of the release of the game in Japan which resulted in the meta tag for Switch being added to the game. It is clear team that meta tags for category placement are not producing satisfactory results.
With the issues outlined above in mind, we're looking at making the following changes to the GOTY voting process for 2019:
The first major change would be changing the way the voting process works by adding an additional round of voting. Currently, voting is done in a single round with GOTY + categories done at the same time using the same list. For 2019, we'd like to add a round of voting before the GOTY voting which would likely be called "Category Nominations."
Category Nominations would be a round of voting where voters nominate games for consideration for certain categories (excluding GOTY). Ideally, voters would be able to nominate 3 games for each category. Once Category Nomination is over, the top 5 results from each category would be the nominees for that category and eligible for voting in the final round.
The final round of voting would look much like the current system with a general Top Ten GOTY list for the GOTY category. In addition, voters would be able to vote for one game for each category. The end result would be the standard top twenty list and category results that are not based on meta tags.
Here's a simplified breakdown of it:
Category Nomination roundNormal roundWe believe this will allow for more accurate categories as category winners will not simply be determined off of the GOTY vote list. It will hopefully give opportunity for other games to shine and help drive discussion about aspects of games that haven't been covered in previous years. As part of this round voting, we would look at expanding the categories currently offered. Because meta tags wouldn't be used for determining category eligibility, there could be categories introduced that we weren't previously able to offer such as Best Story or Best Music.
Below are some of the categories that the team would like to see added. Do note that this list is no where near finalized. This is simply a rough draft of categories that we could include if we changed to a two round voting system.
In order to address formatting issues, we're looking at tech solutions to streamline the voting process. Rest assured, we know that people like to the format and create their own lists to look back on later, so even if there is a tech solution found, we would not remove the GOTY voting thread. Instead, the GOTY voting thread might simply become a thread for you to show others how you voted, formatting your list however you want.
Going forward, we'd like to either clarify the rules regarding what is considered a remake/remaster and what isn't. Resident Evil 2, for instance, is a substantial overhaul from the original and thus should be eligible for GOTY. This was the case with Pokemon Let’s Go. Shadow of the Colossus, however, was simply a graphical upgrade, and in theory should not be eligible. That said, we could always have a “Best Remake” category. Simply put, if a game remake/remaster is MORE than just a graphics overhaul, then it would be eligible for GOTY.
The alternate approach could be that, if voters feel that the category system ensures remakes/remasters will not overwhelm the system, that such games are eligible for GOTY and categories. Another alternative could be that the games are eligible for GOTY and not categories or even categories and not GOTY. There's a variety of different options and approaches we could take, and it largely depends on what you all want.
We are seeking your feedback regarding the proposed changes to the 2019 GOTY process. While we cannot respond to every post in this thread, we'll try to respond where and when we can. Our intention is to foster this discussion in the community and collect feedback. Either late this month or early next month, we will provide a breakdown of the received feedback and finalize what changes, if any, we'll be making to 2019 GOTY voting. Thanks for your continued support, and we look forward to your thoughts!

We don't know who approached who about the deal, and without knowing it is hard to say who really wanted to make this happen more. Are they offering refunds for pre-orders only or for backers as well?Yeah. It is definitely not kosher when people back a product expecting Steam/GoG keys, and now there is none coming. It is still a bad thing when it happens to a game developer that is self-funded, but a crowd-funded game/developer doing it is way worse because you have an obligation to your backers.

ThreadNintendo Labo VR Kit announced (launching 4/12, starter kit $40)
$300 is a high price to pay for what will no doubt be a terrible console even compared to Xbox One S or other cheap options. I had an original Playstation 4, so I can tell you firsthand just how atrocious and nausea-enducing console gaming is with a 1080p screen and low framerate... and that’s not even accounting for the fact that the original Playstation 4 was relatively strong and affordable compared to some handheld monstrosity.
I shudder at the fact that the Nintendo Switch will be some people’s first console gaming experience. Console gaming is genuinely incredible so long as everything powering it is purpose-built. I tried the latest version of the Playstation 4 Pro recently and it was mindblowing. But when you take devices that weren’t meant for console gaming and strap a dock to them, the results are predictable.

I hope you can see how silly the argument you are making is now.

All the leaks are fake. Wake up Sheeple.
I don't believe for a second they will character assassinate Tyrion. He's, in a lot of ways, the main character of the show. If they do have his story end tragically, I really doubt it will be in a "dumb" way.
I do think Aegon is likely, although I don't think he will be similar to the books. I'd expect him to be some different or condensed version of the character. Perhaps he has an entirely different name and isn't related to Targs? Etc. Something to keep the plot there a bit simpler.
BTW, if a dragon attacks King's Landing, that could be the undead dragon. I don't think they'll nicely wrap up that White Walker arc in the first three to four episodes. I don't see that being resolved until right until the bitter end.
I'm in a few Discord cliques or whatever. I don't think it is a big deal. Security plays a big role. I'm more willing to talk to someone in private about personal matters than I am in a public or larger discord. I've made several, great close friends through Discord and even met my SO through it.
ThreadPoll: Come on in and vote. Show how you really feel about the THQ-Nordic
I think this is a terrible poll question to draw any substantive conclusions from, and I would suggest you'd need a series of questions to properly grasp the after effects.
That being said, there's a lot of pro-consumption mentality in the gaming community, so I'm not shocked by the poll results being where they are. In general, people tend to stand up for ideas and issues, but when it comes to actually impacting their bottom line (not consuming a product they want to consume), they tend to cave. The best example of this is probably the MW2 Boycott.

Studios change with time. The experienced folk who made those classics you love move onto to other studios, other projects, and such. I can't remember who said this, but I've found this quote a fair assumption of things: "You're only as good as the last game you make."So I heard this street rumor that [poorly reviewed game] was suppose to be/have [feature] at first, and was changed to this. A bunch of [poorly reviewed game's development studio] devs were not happy with the changes and joined [random publisher or developer] and they worked on [game that has previously mentioned feature].
I've no idea if this is true, but I'm really curious about the story behind this game. Hopefully journalists are doing their work.
Hopefully the updates will be every two weeks
In progression, I'm at the point where I need to get some parts from these sentient scar things or titans, and I haven't been interested in doing that yet. I think I am going to wait for the D1 patch mostly. There's no real end game content right now anyways, so I don't feel the need to rush progression so soon.
I don't think the early access is a problem, but if you're going to do early access, put out your day one bug fixes on day one of early access. Otherwise, don't do early access.
No, there's really no elaboration or establishment of who they were or why you're doing these tasks. It really is a big missed opportunity if they wanted to introduce these historical characters. You get no details about them really, what they did, etc.
There is so many better ways they could have handled the tombs; it is one of the more baffling decisions in a game.
And yes, I can confirm that progress for
isn't carried over with party members either for certain objectives, so not only is it an artificial grind, but it is an artificial grind that actively hinders you from playing with others.
Apparently, if you go down in a respawn-restricted area, not only can you not respawn, but it completely locks you out of every menu too. Even the ESC key to bring up the menu doesn't work...
As far as I can tell, it isn't stored in the challenges section. I see nothing in there relating to them.
I do see them in feats, but they don't even show everything, and as you said, they seem specific to a given expedition.
I absolutely would not blame anyone for stopping the second they hit that grind. It is poorly communicated and extremely hard to track or tell what your current status is at any given time. Yes, it is doable, but man it's like a brick wall for anyone who is casually enjoying the game and isn't interested in doing some insane grind at that point.I'm seeing similar people pissed across Reddit, Twitter, and Discord as more and more people hit this area. It has to be one of the more baffling design decisions I have ever seen in a video game. It completely kills any momentum in the game's story, and it really hinders enjoyment of the game.I think the grind, tracking or not, would be awful. But given there's no decent ways to track it makes it even worse. It really is absolutely unacceptable for AAA game in 2019.
It feels so unnecessarily grindy; and there isn't even clear systems to track your progress. They have some tacking the feats menu, but it doesn't even seem to mesh up with the actual list that you're given.

This game had it all:Looking back, Battlefield Heroes truly was a precursor of games to come, perhaps most notably, Fortnite. BFH was an incredible, fun game that I sunk so many hours into. RIP Battlefield Heroes. You'll always be the king of F2P games in my book.

ThreadEurogamer: The story behind the Oblivion mod Terry Pratchett worked on
This is a great story. I hadn't heard about this before, but this seems like the most complete write up on the topic. It's always touching to see how gaming brings people together in unexpected ways.
I would dispute both issues based on gameplay and previews from those who have played a later build, but if you think that the current game with its resources will be unable to deliver on launch, dividing those resources into multiply areas doesn't increase the quality of those areas that are struggling nor does it mean that any created areas, such as PvP, will be of a higher quality.
Technical concerns aren't solved by adding PvP. Your concerns over the AI would highlight a reason for them to devote more resources for PvE, not less.
ThreadDeep Silver continue to post Metro Exodus marketing materials/trailers to Steam despite delaying the Steam release (UPDATE: Link removed)
There is absolutely nothing intertwined about timed exclusivity and marketing on a platform you have yet to release on. There have been plenty of games with staggered PC launches or console exclusivity for a limited amount of time that have a Steam store page pushing marketing materials either before the console version releases or after the console version releases, but before the Steam/PC version releases. This is a non-issue.
This is only being made into an issue because "Metro exclusivity bad" and "Epic bad" discussion (which, Metro exclusivity is bad) is bleeding into this discussion and being conflated with it. If your intent is to point out that Epic lacks the ability to push marketing materials on the Epic Games Store, that's absolutely a fair criticism of their platform. I don't think, however, that it is backwards of Deep Silver to continue pushing marketing materials on a storefront that their game will come to in 2020. My assumption is that even if there was a place on the Epic Games Store to market in such a manner, which there absolutely should be, Deep Silver would continue to also market on the Steam storefront as well.
If you are trying to bring exclusivity into the conversation to point that Deep Silver signed an exclusivity deal with a company and storefront that doesn't even have a place to market games like this, then this is really no different than any other thread discussing the Metro exclusivity deal as it is simply another facet of it. Deep Silver marketing the game on Steam though isn't an issue given the eventual release to Steam. And, as you said, it isn't an abuse of the publisher/developer agreement because, as I've highlighted previously, plenty of other developers engage in this same practice (marketing on Steam when they're already releasing on a console/platform) too.
In truth, I don't understand why any consumer cares if the game has marketing material posted on Steam or not. It doesn't impact the consumer in any way. Yes, the exclusivity does, but as I addressed previously if you're simply using this to further criticize the Metro exclusivity deal, then this thread should be closed and brought back into the general Metro exclusivity deal discussion.
ThreadDeep Silver continue to post Metro Exodus marketing materials/trailers to Steam despite delaying the Steam release (UPDATE: Link removed)
Is this any different from games that are exclusive to consoles and have a Steam page about the game coming to PC? For example, Monster Hunter World released in January 2018, yet it continued to have a steam page with updates, etc. If you think of Metro as coming to Steam with a release date in 2020, it doesn't seem that much different than any other title that was exclusive or had a staggered PC release.
I'm also not sure why people are upset at this. Why you worried about their marketing on Steam? It doesn't hurt you as a consumer. The only thing it could potentially hurt is Valve. Yeah, the last minute change of release platform is awful as is the exclusivity, but this specific issue doesn't seem like an issue at all because it is common place within the Steam marketplace already and isn't impacting consumers (treating this as separate from the timing/exclusivity issue).
Given there's no credibility or verification regarding the person posting the leak, this thread is locked. In the event that there's information posted by a more credible source, a new thread can be created at that time.
ThreadI've been teaching myself to code for about 6 months, but don't even understand easy Leetcode problems.
Assuming for reverse integer problem that you're not handling overflow, all you need to know for reverse integer is how to do modulo. Alternatively, you could do some string manipulation which is also fairly easy to do with built in string functions.

ThreadIn hindsight, the Anthem reveal trailer is Watch Dogs / Killzone 2 levels of bullshit
The thing you have to understand is almost every game developer engages in this practice. Vertical slices are the standard in the industry, as much as people hate them. No game is ever "complete" when being shown at E3.
ThreadIn hindsight, the Anthem reveal trailer is Watch Dogs / Killzone 2 levels of bullshit
The core gameplay elements remain, at least. You can fly like that. Guns shoot like that. Abilities work like that. There is a fort with a market area. Yes, the graphics, details and such changed, but the core gameplay underneath all that remained relatively consistent from this vertical slice to the full game.
I'm not sure what point this thread serves because it feels like an obvious statement. You can pick almost any E3 trailer, and it is rarely, if ever, a completely accurate representation of the final product. That is the nature of E3 and vertical slice game reveals. If you don't like it, I would encourage you not to buy into the E3 hype. That hype is what fuels the same vertical slice problems that you're upset by.
ThreadIn hindsight, the Anthem reveal trailer is Watch Dogs / Killzone 2 levels of bullshit
This just in: heavily polished, vertical slices designed specifically for a single press event and nothing else rarely turn out to be indicative of the final product.

No, there is no armor loot. They wanted people's personalization options (how your javelin looks) separate from how your loadout options (how your javelin plays). You might be able to get new personlizations options thru playing the game, but it isn't normal armor in the sense that it is purely cosmetic only with no stats.
In total, there is two weapons + one support gear + six components + launcher + grenade for Ranger, same # for other javs altho the specifics differ. That's a total of 10 slots that impact your character's stats, compared to, for example, the eight that is present in Destiny. There is plenty of loot to earn, I think.

I'd want to more tweaking around with it. It does, however, feel night and day difference compared to before. My aim actually goes where I want it.
Biggest issue remaining is the joystick flying. With negative mouse acceleration removed, you can absolutely feel the joystick conversion. Those smaller, more precise movements you make don't register with the algorithm they're using to convert mouse input into. Flight only registers if you move your mouse a amount, and it just does not feel smooth right now.

Now, if you subtract those numbers, 64 - 51 is 13. You know how many letters are in Hideo Kojima? 12. But if you include the space it is "Hideo_Kojima" which is 13 letters!
Going even deeper, W converted to its number equivalent is 23, and S is converted 19.
What is 23-19?
That's right, it's the emergency from Monster Inc.
And as we all know, Kojima loves monsters
Taking this one step further, have you noticed how much Death Stranding is like Kingdom Hearts? I mean just look at this video!

Thus, Wario64 and Suda51 are alter egos of Hideo Kojima.

ThreadYou are Electronic Arts' new CEO. What do you do?
I think the biggest business decisions that people have ignored so far in this thread is Origin Premier Access for PC and EA Access for Xbox One. In much the same way that Xbox is trying to drive gamepass, EA should be looking to do the same thing with their developers for their subscription services. Notably, funding low budget games, as suggested, ensures a regular supply of content to your service.
Ideally, you want one major game release a year that are your software and subscription movers. This is your Bioware game, your DICE game, your Respawn game, Criterion game, etc. Something that gets people to consider investing in your subscription service.
With your other studios, look at producing AA standard games that, while they aren't major subscription movers, continue to keep people invested in your service. Hopefully you can get out a few of those each year with relatively cheap budgets compared to AAA games.
Long term, I'd be trying to see if I could get EA Access onto the next generation Playstation ecosystem, and I'd also see what the financials would look like if Xbox Game Pass absorbed EA Access. I'm not sure if it would make business sense or not, but it is worth investigating.
In short, EA would double down on being a subscription based publisher.

The annual GOTY vote has arrived!
The fabulous team from last year will be returning to help organize this year's celebrations again. Big thanks to , , , , , and all of the site staff.
The official rules and sample ballot are below. Please read carefully as options are different
Ready to vote? Get started quickly by copying and pasting the ballot below into your reply.
To ensure the parser correctly tabulates your ballot, please follow this format as closely as possible. Don't actually post "Game A" or "Your thoughts on Game A," etc.
Note that while all points will be tallied, only NEW playable content will be eligible for GOTY and Genre Award consideration.
All content is eligible for Platform Award consideration. Rereleases, ports, and other content will be awarded in their own category.
BBCODE (also, you can highlight and quote/reply the above to automatically copy the BBcode to your post):Once your vote has been posted, VoteBot will parse your list and provide you a receipt that looks like the below.
Please use VoteBot to help ensure that your posts are formatted correctly. If VoteBot is reading your post incorrectly, you likely have formatting errors in your post!
1. First, check the Note that this list isn't exhaustive, but if it's on there, you're good.
2. Not on there? Check the confirmed eligible and ineligible games listed above.
3. If a game you want isn't listed there either, and you're SURE about it, just post it in your ballot. We'll automatically add it to the list. If you're not sure, shoot me or a PM and we'll get it sorted out.
No, Early Access, beta, demo, and Greenlight games are not eligible. PC games must reach full release, or version 1.0 in order to be eligible.
Discussion is encouraged! Want to talk about another poster’s list? Quote it.
Absolutely you can, but all numbering and formatting must happen as indicated in the sample ballot above, meaning your numbers cannot be within the image itself, and you must make the images work within an ordered list. Images should be posted AFTER the bolded title. ex: "1. (img) - comments" or "1. - comments (img)" You can use carriage returns and the like are fine for spacing out images.
You should NOT split your ballot into two, because the parser won't read it correctly.
No, you can simply edit your original vote up until the deadline.
Most likely, you didn't follow the rules above. What you probably did: You didn't number things correctly. You didn't write any comments. You listed the same game more than once. You didn't follow the formatting rules.
No.
We'll be fairly lenient on variations, but the only way to guarantee that your vote will be counted is to copy-and-paste from the spreadsheet. But again, just because a game isn't listed doesn't mean you can't vote for it if you're sure it's a 2018 title. Just use the most complete and official title available.
As soon as is possible given the copy-paste technology at our disposal.
Happy voting, everyone!

I think this article avoids some of the more common criticisms of the Epic Games Store that has been leveled so far. There's no discussion on the nature of refunds. There isn't any discussion of exclusivity deals really beyond this one line:It seems mostly focused on the ideal that having another company in the market like Epic creates competition and pushes them each to better. I suppose the inherit takeaway from the article that they want to leave you with is that Epic and Steam competing is good for developers and consumers. I'm not sure the article effectively establishes that conclusion though.

That there is only two refunds in a given year is awful. I can't imagine the justification behind this. There should be automatic refunds and an unlimited number of them. It's 2018 soon to be 2019 for crying out loud. Refunds is one of the things that Origin, and then Steam, have gotten right. Epic needs to step it up.
Personally, I'd rather see them adopt a similar stance to Steam where so long as you do not exceed a certain number of hours, you can still return the game. I think that is more in line with what traditional refund policies are at stores in general. That gives me more confidence buying a game that I can always refund it if I am uncertain. If the concern at Epic is about abuse of the refund system yearly, it makes more sense for them to adopt asking some questions, but give the consumer an unlimited number of refunds so long as they check the boxes. Either way, that seems to be a more fleshed out refund policy that benefits both the consumers and Epic more.

This is an ok post, but there's some problems I am seeing. I'm not sure what is going in the OP with the over-usage of bold and underline, but it makes the post itself extremely difficult to read. Additionally, when you're outlining this as some form of breakdown on a situation, it is strange that many of these points are raised without citation or linking to the referenced incident.
Two examples: A statement like this needs to have some sort of citation or elaboration. Who is excited by storefronts? Who are these people? While I know the referenced sources here, it would be to your benefit to provide those sources so a reader unfamiliar with the situation can access the information for themselves.
