Thread"Solidarity with Bessemer, Alabama Amazon Workers!" (Article) (Anyone else know about this?)
Either of you watch any twitch content recently?
As someone else in the greater Birmingham area, every twitch commercial that airs, has been for Anti-Union Voting for the Bessemer warehouse, featuring people who claim to be workers at Amazon. Kind of jarring, but makes sense, since Twitch=Amazon. Lots of "why should I let someone else vote for what kind of insurance I want" and "I already get great benefits" jargon.
Earlier it was asked for a breakdown of the large battle in the last episode. Someone put in work on this. I had wondered "where did this laser drone thing come from", not realizing that was the roci peppering an inaros ship with rail gun hits.
I wonder if the Peaches reveal at the end was filmed in a reshoot or not. Wonder if there's a version closer to the books:
A little wrap up video of the ending of the season and what some of the themes of the season were.
I'd have to go back and look, but I think you can normally see ships on the outside, while you're in the ringspace. Remember right after the Roci escaped into it, and afterwards the Mars ship entered into the ring? You can slightly see it before it fully comes in. This time, the Barkieth doesn't look visible as it's passing through. It's engines also turn off before it's fully into the ring.
My guess is, it's literally splitting all of this solid matter into atoms. The time pause effect, to me, is just to show us what's happening, I imagine it played out normally, they just blipped out of existence as they went through, similar to when the probe entered into the sidewall of the ringspace.
As I went ahead and started (and finished) this book about halfway through the season (the weekly wait got to me), I can see some of the disappointment. It all comes back to how bad off Earth is. It wouldn't really even be that hard to have a more "book like" result, since so much of what happened, happened offscreen. Change the lines to say 4-6 rocks hit in total, and say Billions instead of Millions. What they showed visually wouldn't really change much, since they went with "snow" effect after the rocks hit. The showrunners imply they didn't want to do alot of Armageddon Porn, and was just going to show things as the POV characters saw them.
As is, it doesn't make alot of sense to be in a hurry to get off planet, either for Erich's Crew or Holden's parents, if things aren't completely fucked on Earth.
About Alex's death, I didn't remember Bobbie mentioning stroking out, while Alex was prepping that banking turn. The specific line about Stroking out appears to be said offscreen, which I wonder if it was added in ADR. You could also tell they had to give Alex a delayed stroke, as he was needed for a last couple of bits of information to be said while Bobbie and Naomi are out in space. I imagine his last words were taken from someplace else in the history of the show and put together with some vocal fry effects added on, to make it sound like he was starting to be in distress.
My guess is, the only actual filmed reshoot, was Holden and Naomi in the med bay, and Holden, Naomi and Amos in the hallway. The Luna Bar probably had too many extras and green screen effects to redo.
1. Had this same thought, that it was the rock that flew close to the sun and broke up, but I'm pretty sure Averserala and the General say the remains of that rock flew into Venus (it's trajectory got messed up). My guess is they literally diped a shitload of small rocks into the stealth paint and flung them on a trajectory (Marco does occasionally look at a high arch trajectory earlier in the season, that was aimed at the ring). A master job of planning and timing, to get his Navy there right as this planned meteor shower. Heck, as I type this, I now wonder if that rock that broke up, was a test run, as Filip's crew had that thing timed out before meteors hit that science ship. I now wonder if those meteors weren't even the rock that broke up from the sun, because why would the science ship put itself in the trajectory of those rocks?
2. I need to rewatch that whole scene, shit happens real fast. From my mind, Drummer fires a rocket that takes out the engine/plume of Oksana's ship, dropping her out of the middle of combat. At that time, the taller white guy tries to stop drummer as she has Karal at gunpoint, because I guess he either doesn't want to fight Inaros or leans towards Inaro's ideals. At that point Drummer fires missiles at the other Inaros ships, who also fire back. Meanwhile on Oksana's ship, I think she's trying to get ahold of Drummer/trying to figure out what happened, when the other guy quickly decides to back what Drummer is doing, and also fires Oksana's ships missiles at the Inaros ships (against what Oksana seems to want him to do, as she tries to stop him).
It's just real fast, and maybe could be edited better. It just seems like 2 ships (Drummers) turn on the other 3 (there were 5 total). I don't know where Drummer's 3rd ship is (Ashfords).heh, yeah, when I got to that part, and noticing how the show was going, it wasn't going to happen.
The X-ray feature on prime, it has bts screenshots from the episode. Alex was totally in the reunion scene with the other 3 rock crew, and a reshoot happened.
Really good episode that had the unusual feeling of "ok, this is the ending...oops, no, there's more". Happened like 3 times
Had to explain the Cas bit to Mom, as she didn't understand what was going on as it happened. It was a bit Poochie, but they did have a small scene of him showing discomfort coming out of a burn earlier. A decent send-off, but it still feels a little bit "wipe your hands and quickly move on". I can understand for the situation, but it's still a character from the very beginning.
My guess is, it was a bit to get footage they used from another scene or episode and added CGI blood effect. Doubt they let him come back and film anything.
Now, the whole thing in the gate is really enticing. Is that an alien ship in orbit or was it implied it was the same structure that ilus was built around (but this one without a planet)? Is this planet/system implied to be the protomolicle creators homeworks and "Duarte" found it?
Thread100+ car pileup on I-35W in Fort Worth and now a 26 car pileup in Austin
As I understand it, Semi's, because of the amount of wheels, height and weight, have little problem during heavy downpours. They might have more of a problem on their hand if they have to drive slow in it.
But yeah, it's a normal thing to have them moving at standard highway speeds while I'm struggling to not hydroplane or see the vehicles in front of me.
ThreadBam Margera fired from Jackass 4. Tells fans to boycott the movie. Appears to be spiraling...
Bam looks to be a few months older than me, and looks 10-15 years older than me.
He's lead a hard life. Hoping he pulls through, if only for his child and family.
I'll add on that a Jackass 4 always felt like a mistake. It's been too long since the last thing they did, they're all old, and several of them could relapse into some rough stuff.
Maybe they could just stick with talking shit with each other via podcasting or streaming, and cut out the body torture that a Jackass would bring on.
Yep.
This season is basically all about Naomi and Amos. They're the heavy lifters this season, barring whatever happens in these last 2 episodes.
Holden's been in what, 1 fight/gun battle scene, and then the occasional check in's while on the Roci.
Alex and Bobbi got the on Mars stuff and the little boarding party fight, otherwise alot of work in the giant gyro-set.
Even Averserala has been a bit quiet since stopping the rocks.
I think she knew that by that point in time, the fake message had been sent out for too long, and probably got picked up. If she just went and cut it off, it doesn't mean anything expect "the last bit of transmission ability I had no longer works, but I'm still here." Which still ends up being the undesirable outcome of blowing up near a friendly ship. Her options left, is either to actually get her original plan to work (of creating a new message: wasn't happening), implement pauses in the ongoing message to change the context and maybe get them to not show up, or blow the ship up before anyone gets there.
Guess the question I have, not sure if I saw it or not, is what happened after that. I don't think she can have the pauses just continue as is. I assume she has to go back and forth, doing the message pausing by hand. Either that, or she cut it completely off at the end, hoping the last messages of "being in control" is enough.
Good episode. That was going to be a tough thing to explain without just saying her plan out loud
Was nice also showing how physically damaged she was from the trip over.
I think maybe it's a little bit of bad grammar.
The 2nd Species might have gotten pissed at the 1st species intrusion into their "reality" with the gates, and proceeded to do whatever it was that killed the 1st species.
"now we're using their gates" is talking about the 1st species. We using the same gates that got the 1st species killed by the 2nd, and the 2nd species seems to be waking up, going by how Holden thinks is happening.
ThreadTerrorist Cult Leader Donald J Trump Issues Final Slate Of 147 Get Out Of Jail Free Cards: Kids - No. Bannon - Yes. Joe Exotic - No
John Dean on CNN earlier threw out the possibility of Trump having "secret" pardons. They apparently don't have to declare them in the press like this. Might only show up if people get charged. I have to hope those cannot be blanket pardons, but specific "I did this Crimes yo" pardons.
That shit would be infuriating, and I hope there are charges to be filed Wednesday afternoon. If they have secret pardons, might as well rip that bandaid off now rather than later.
This reminds me that we got another small BTS interview vid on the episode, where you can see Cas Anvar at the table, and like before, they really try hard to not show him, and he spoke no words or made a sound. I can only imagine what questions and discussions they had to cut because it included him.
ThreadTanya Roberts has died at age 65 (update 2: TMZ reports she has died, after being reported "dead", followed by "alive")
I can only imagine the amount of early/erroneous death calls that have been made with all these months of covid protocols, where people in the ICU's don't get visitors. Let alone any that get the erroneous call, get another call that they haven't died, and get a 3rd call that they finally and actually have died.
The 2 things that made me think she saw/heard, was seeing that they were watching the roci on a screen, and a thing that Filip said, that Marcos saved her by not letting her leave (from going back to Holden at tycho and eventually the roci)
I need to rewatch the scene before she attacked knuckles dude, to hear if he said yes to the roci having the code.
It's still possible to be much higher damage than shown, as most of what was shown was right as/after it happened. The only one saying "millions" appears to be Naomi, who says it literally after finding out. Could be the first number/figure of speech to pop in her head.
But then, I'm not really sure if stopping 3-6 of them in the show, is how it happens in the book.
Also, how many did the actually throw in the show? The side character says to Marco: "earth destroyed 3, other 3 miss", a 7th rock disintegrated because it got too close to the sun (Rock 9), and then 3 hit (Africa coast, Philly and Southeast Asia). 10 rocks? End of Season 4 showed 8 rocks on his map. End of the 1st episode of this season (after Rock 9 is lost), it's still showing 8 rocks.Potentially, yeah. It feels good to see the finish product all at once, but it also feels good to have these kinds o f vague discussion and theorizing, for a few weeks amyway, in places like this.
They go into this on one of the BTS bonuses, think it's on the one for Episode 3.
Also, Longer aftershows with Wes and Ty (and guests):
Some good info on the 1st episode, even mentioning the filming and editing choice of Amos' fight scene in episode 1.
This reminded me that I stopped watching the 2nd season of Lost in Space after the 2nd or 3rd episode. Don't think it was from boredom, think something came up and then forgot. Same with alot of other shows.
Only shows of the caliber that I was really interested in post BSG was Star Gate Universe and The Expanse.

Thread[Spoilers] Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers SPOILER DISCUSSION (Current 5.3)
Possible, on the Trust thing. Though they just did add in G'raha, and unless I didn't look at it right, he's already level 80, while the other NPC's are at whatever level you've gotten them to. That already puts G'raha in a separate category (he's not going to gain XP on any trust runs).
I could be wrong on this though, I only looked at the trust after getting the notification and it had him at level 80 while everyone else was level 71/72 (I haven't run Trusts alot)I'd love to see this, if only to maybe somehow get Curious Gorge on screen with the main characters.
Thread[Spoilers] Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers SPOILER DISCUSSION (Current 5.3)
Right now, my biggest fear going forward towards 6.0, is that I fear they might do something like having Zenos kill G'raha to build up Zenos's threat. Hoping the writers won't do something that sloppy. Build up to a huge positive ending in 5.3, and needing to bring us/WoL down for the Expansion.
Just feel that with everyone currently alive and back from The First, is a big death flag for 5.4/5.5.
Thread[Spoilers] Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers SPOILER DISCUSSION (Current 5.3)
Something that is sitting with me, now that I went back to rewatch the Shadowbringer trailer, knowing the ending of 5.3.
While I'm sure that's Exart's voice actor, I keep thinking that he's talking during the opening bit, with WoL and Zenos/Elidibus squaring off. If the voice is taken as being from Elidibus's POV, it feels like foreshadowing 5.3's ending.
Might just be me though.

ThreadMarvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S7 |OT| Who's like us? Damn few.
I was about to start to figure out if the timeline is still on path to lead to the world that the team came back to from the future, or not. So much of the past few seasons has been revolving around The Lighthouse, a bunker that has been there for decades, and survived the world blowing up to be the last bastion of humanity in Deke's future.
So far, they've kind of explained the lighthouse being there. Hydra/Shield's alternate version of Project Insite.
But now you have Hydra being more advanced, Mack's parents dead (missed any mention of them having died, can't remember if they died when he was a kid or not), Other kid Malick might still be alive with powers. Any more time paradoxes/changes I'm missing. The other question I'd have, is if those changes would have already happened and the crew never even noticed them when they came back from the future.
Can't remember if the Lighthouse was shown before or after the Future trip.

ThreadLeft Voice: Why Hamilton Is the Most Right-Wing Musical on Broadway
While not claiming to be a historian, and not knowing alot of John Adams' history, He and his son John Quincy were the only 2 Presidents in the first Dozen to never own slaves. Both spoke out against Slavery (JQA much more so).
Meanwhile, Hamilton doesn't cast anyone as John Adams, talks poorly about him, and the only claimed lines of dialogue from Adams is the "Creole Bastard" slur, while Hamilton's father in law was a slave owner. Was an interesting read, with various quotes and facts from the first 18 presidents in relation to what they did or said in regards about Slavery, with a list of sources under the bibliography section. Warning, that there are alot of quotes that are horrible (Fuck Zachary Taylor). That the first president after the 1st 12 (Millard Filmore) that never owned slaves personally, did sign into law the Fugitive Slave act.

ThreadWhy do people mention Joffrey more than Ramsay Bolton when it comes to villain references? Who did you personally came to hate more? (Game of Thrones)
It's not so much as "more admirable" but that he at least put skin in the game, between Yara's rescue attempt, 12 Good Men and the final at Winterfeld, he could have just gotten killed or maimed. Joffrey would more or less be able to sit back in a castle with thousands of people defending himself or attacking people, whatever he wanted. The only way to get to him was pretty much what happened to him. That or wait till Season 8 Dany shows up.
ThreadWhy do people mention Joffrey more than Ramsay Bolton when it comes to villain references? Who did you personally came to hate more? (Game of Thrones)
I think the cowardice of Joffrey plays a part in the reasoning. Ramsey, his running back into Winterfell notwithstanding, would at least take part in the fighting, even squaring off with a bow against the victorious force at the end, alone.
Joffrey talked up his game, but would scurry away and yell for someone else to do the fighting for him.
ThreadCas Anvar (Alex on The Expanse) has been accused of multiple counts of harassment and sexual assault
Damn, this one stings for me. Cas was big on saving the show after the Syfy cancellation, but yeah, he's got to go. Just beyond the pale. The adage of "you never know who a person really is" continues to ring true.
Cailin saying she's seen this sort of thing from him, is telling. She worked on the show in the beginning, and is also the daughter of Bob Munroe, who was a longtime VFX director on the show.
My thoughts to the victims in this, may their spirits be lifted from the support of the community.
For the future of the show, not 100% sure what his role was going to be this season. Alex not doing much in Season 4, would have been a good time to recast. If I had a guess from the vague summary I know of the following book, I think Alex's role is bigger.
ThreadNoose Found In Garage Of NASCAR Driver Bubba Wallace
Yeah, I've got 2 tall bay doors with loop ended cord, for when we have to open them up for larger items to ship. It's for when the cord is out of reach, where I need to use a pole with a hook on it to drag the door/cord down far enough to grab and shut it. The cord isn't tied in a slipknot fashion and looks nothing like a noose. It's not designed to constrict, it's designed to be a handle.
That image from NASCAR, that a noose. The doors themselves don't look tall enough for where the pull is out of reach for an adult to grab the rope, and is why the other doors don't have looped ends. It's not needed. Like said, someone decided to be slick and show off their "handiwork."

It's probably been mentioned, about the whole "Cops not paying for food sometimes." That is a thing. Making it a deterrent against "crime."

Mayor just put in a 7 pm curfew, and stated the removal of the statue is to keep citizens safe (from falling on themselves) as well as the salvage of the statue if the confederacy wants it back (or a museum). I think the latter bit was spoken while winking, but I was listening on the radio.

ThreadWhat did you think of Battlestar Galactica ending?
Was very good, not perfect.
They hit it right with most of the character wrap ups, with some good tear jerker moments with Adama/Roslin, Apollo/Starbuck, Gaius/Caprica.
I liked the amount of thought going in with how the music of the show had a story impact. That the musical notes as numbers only work as jump coordinates to Earth, if they jumped from the area they were at (The Colony). Those numbers wouldn't put them near earth anywhere else, going by how they explained FTL in the show.
The epilogue was an interesting thought, but was a bit hokey, with mediocre archival footage of "robots".
The worst part of the finale was the odd reasoning/decision to abandon technology. Even the "Starbuck went back to her home planet and died" transition works better than "well, everyone seems to be ok with this, put it all in the sun!" If you still want to put BSG in as the far past of humanity, leave it as another mystery for why that stuff disappeared over the years.

A thing that I've thought about, is that Nolan's use of licensed music was just done better in POI than Westworld. Now, they've had alot of nice remixes of those songs in westworld/piano styles, but more often than not, they just seem to be there, almost like easter eggs. POI's use of Radiohead, Pink Floyd and David Bowie just fit in better when they pop up.

FDR for getting us out of the GD, and through WWII, but oh yeah, internment and help starting the creation of the Nuclear Bomb. Carter tried, but seemed doomed to fail. ThreadResetEra Games of the Year 2019 - Voting Thread (READ THE OP) [Ends Jan 26th 8:59am EST]
Well, here goes:- A new expansion on maybe the best MMORPG out there, and an expansion that raised the bar higher than any of the previous expansions. Using built-in Story Lore to give a reason for what could almost be considered a reboot, you can explore a , filled with similar but entirely different cultures. That the game's outdoor environment changes as you advance the story (going from never-ending daytime to bringing the Night back), is a neat feature. New, phenomenal musical scoring (adding to the plethora of fantastic themes of FFXIV) with some outstanding highlights as mentioned on various posts on the Gaming Soundtrack of the Year topic.
Having the best Final Fantasy story, one that doesn't feel like it's built on convoluted bullshit crammed in at the end, is a feat. The final "Boss" is someone who you get to know and fully understand, and allows for you to almost feel compassion to why things end up the way they end up.
The last thing I'll add as being my favorite gaming moment of the year, is one that you really can't get back, and you can't have it if you joined in on Shadowbringers late: Being in on the game launch rush as the servers opened up in late June, watching as hundreds of other people enter into the early city hub of , exploring it and trying to understand the new environment. It's a neat feeling that when you add in it being 2 AM or so and you're sleep deprived, gives it that extra spark. Logging on, chatting with fellow members of ERA's community as each person makes it into the overwhelmed server, gleefully checking in the new sights of Norvrandt. This is also not a repeatable feeling, not until the next expansion comes out. I'm glad for the New Game+ mode, so I can replay the story of this great expansion. - As someone who fell off the Fallout bandwagon right after Fallout 3, I gave this game a try on GamePass, and loved it. It has flaws in some of the story bit towards the end, where things feel more "check box" like as it fits you into an ending, but the characters you add are generally good. The gameplay mechanics actually work most of the time, and doesn't appear to have that normal Fallout brokenness that turned me off of them. I'll leave with what is my favorite bit of - A controversial game, but one I enjoy my time with. I appreciate the gameplay ideas they put in, as it kind of interests me (Making Deliveries: The Game). Some of the acting scenes are surprisingly great (DieHardman's scene at the end, Mads Mikelson). The "final" bit of the game as you make "one last delivery" trip and the music kicks in, actually affected me emotionally. The Asynchronous multiplayer actually works pretty well, and it's nice to build up zipline systems with other people. But I admit, I've been a Kojima fan for awhile, and have built up a tolerance to some of the bullshit he puts in these games. - An old favorite returned, but in a more digestible form. Improved graphics and a speeding up option, chef's kiss. Haven't fully beaten the game, as life and some other games got in the way. - This is a cheat vote. I have bought it on PC, but my current PC refuses to play this in a playable form. This is a vote as a way to say "Thanks for being what was probably my #1 game last year" as I loved my time in RDR2, and desire to replay it very soon, either once I build a new PC, or just pop it in on the console. - At this point and beyond, I'm filling in with what I played this year, which isn't much. MLB is my first Baseball game in years, as I haven't followed the MLB in well over a decade. I don't know any of these players besides maybe 2 or 3. It looks nice, I remember why I liked baseball in my youth, and it gives me the power fantasy of putting myself in the game as the best switch hitting Shortstop that hits for Average, Power and Speed, because the game won't stop my 99 Overall rated ass.- I played this update on a weekend, it's good, but also alot different, and the game requires alot of time to fully understand the changes and what's going on. It's a game that I constantly "want to play more of" but never find the time to do it.- I really enjoyed LA back on Gameboy back in the 90's, and this game is real cute. But I was put off by the choppiness of the game, and buyers remorse kicked in having spent $60 on it. I've played it maybe an hour. Maybe I'll get back to it.- I have not bought this game, but have seen almost the entire game through streams of other people, specifically from Banner Society. You had to be there. - I bought this game and played 30 minutes.

The "official" podcast from the Syfy version has a couple new episodes talking about the first 3 seasons, from a poliscience viewpoint. Called "The Churn".
One thing I've thought about, with no real thought on how to "fix it", is the standard bindge dump format of Netflix/Amazon shows. Happy to gorge on all the content, but I will miss the growing expanse community chats here, as the episodes were airing.
Season 1: CQB (the Donnager episode), the last 2 episodes (Critical Mass, Leviathan Wakes)
Season 2: Godspeed, Home, Paradigm Shift (End of Book 1, start of Book 2), Here there Be Dragons (Bobbie's decision),
Caliban's War (mostly for the Avaserala/Cotyar/Bobbie stuff on Mao's ship)
Season 3: Fight or Flight (2nd half of the the Caliban War episode), almost everything from Triple Point to the end of Season 4, covering the end of Book 2 and Book 3.
My all time favorites would be CQB, Leviathan Wakes, Home, Triple Point, It Reaches Out, Fallen World and Abaddon's Gate.
Wondering what the "worst" episodes of the show are? Is there even a consensus? My guess would be maybe episode 2 or 3, a heavy Miller/Ceres episode. for help remembering what episodes are what.

From memory, Graha'Tia was around and alive for 2.0-2.5, eventually finding out he's the last ancestor of the allagans, and as such, has some ability of control on the Crystal Tower. To keep it out of the hands of anyone who wouldn't know what they were doing (or would use it for "evil"), he sealed it up, with himself in it, and put himself to sleep, until the people of the world reached a similar level of technology as the allagans. So he's just asleep until some point in the future.
At some point, the 8th Calamity happens, most everyone including the WoL dies, and Cid/Ironworks sets about with plans to undo/fix things. They are lead back to the Crystal Tower, find a way to break in, and awaken and meet Graha'Tia. Over the next few hundred years they find a way to move the CT to the First to stop that issue. Only he has the ability to partially join with the CT, to survive the journey across (hence the crystal arm). He ends up too far back in the pass, but on the First. He is only able to "communicate" with his "past" on The Source, with The Scions, I do not believe he has actually time travelled on the Source).
Basically, the CT in the First is the one from The Source, but 200-300 years in the future.
Thread[Spoilers] Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers SPOILER DISCUSSION (Current 5.0)
It definitely can fall into both, because while just an ancestor of the allagans, it was explained like it wasn't even like any normal ancestry, but something like "powers given to another person."
I don't think Miqo'te are known to live for 300-500 years, like I think the Exart might be. 100+ on The first, and unknown amount of Awake time on The Source (couple hundred years of sleep at least). So something must have given him the ability to stay alive that long of a time (and still look relatively the same age as when he went to sleep)

The Facet questline? Maybe they'll nerf them, but the way they "feel" like, is that they're the Role Quests, but for crafting. Turn in items for each Esteem level, but once it's done, it's done.
But it sure is a shitload of XP for crafting (just choose which job you want to give that XP carefully, or split it evenly as best you can).

The NG+ will be great to revisit all the 1-off's single player duties throughout the entire run of XIV. Instead of going through some interest stuff again, we've just been stuck doing AV, Totorak, DD and The Praetorium repeatedly for years. I do wonder if NG+ includes some sort of new content/gear for doing it, or is it simply for replaying the story quests.
Just waiting to hopefully finish the MSQ tonight, but I might have dawdled too long on hand/land jobs. But the words in here on how ShB is ranking, quality-wise, matches what I've seen.
XIV is basically the FF game, that has gotten great sequels to it, that also keeps continuity with each other, unlike every other FF game they've made.

Loving this expansion so far, probably more than HW. Crystarium is so pretty and different, that I can look past to how apart everything is from each other. The Zones so far, have a tremendous amount of flair to them, much more than anything XIV has put out before.

Yeah, there's a large section on the notes about how it's set up. 4 role quests, split by job type (tank, healer, melee dps, magic dps). Those all sound like quests from 70-80. If you finish all 4 of those (4 different jobs to 80), then a 5th opens up. There are also individual job quests for each job (opens up post story completion and job quest completion). Those seem to take you back to the various Job NPC's we've all dealt with.

dammit, AoS, you beautiful, insane show.My guess is, almost everything going wrong (their planet, Sarge's appearance, and the bat/monolith creatures) are results of changing the timeline at the end of last season, or maybe even just because Fitz died and yet is still alive. Imagine bringing back another planet, and what might happen after that. Nevermind giving emotionless robot beings access to time travel sounds bad (about as bad as giving humanity access to time travel)

My first thought was “skrull hunting?” But they’re crossing dimensions, and I don’t think Zeke is a skrull. Maybe hunting people who are “out of their time” in the same way Fitz appears to be hunted by.
I'm in, I've read large portions of most of them, but basically found myself skipping around alot. Blame it on wanting to see moments related to the TV show, or around areas/characters I didn't care enough to know (some of Dorne and Mareen from memory) Think this will get me to fully reading these things.
The Shield still holds the top.

It and the episode before, are just jaw dropping. They were so gut wrenching, I never could get myself to rewatch the rest of the show ever since. Chiklis in the interrogation room, with CCH Pounder. A perfect scene.
Highly appreciate the amount of times Person of Interest pops up here. That ending still gives me sadness, just a great mix of acting, story, and . Well, if (whoever found the ship) had been a few days faster, might have stopped Thanos from destroying the stones.
I also wondered why they didn't plan on going back to right after the snap, go to the Garden and kill Thanos and have all the stones in their possession (and all in 1 place instead of 3-4 places in different times). He was weakened, and could probably be taken out fast enough before he could do anything. Get the stones (without sacrificing Nat), go back to the MCU timeline without worrying about a 2014 Thanos showing up, and snapping people back. The End, Nat and Tony live, Bruce still has to wear the Barry Bonds cast.
Just turned that 3 hour movie into probably....1 hour.

they wanted to "grab" a Nat to come into the main reality (and replace the one lost in a split off 2014 Morag/Voromir reality) It would be better to get the one that's still alive on earth in that reality, as there's no snappening in it's future (as Thanos is dead). Though, they'd be taking her from a generally good looking reality to one that's repaired but highly damaged (because "5 years later" still happened).
If they got a Post-Snap Nat to come to the "Main" reality, they're just dooming that reality to never undoing their Snap (Someone has to get the Soul Stone). For that Nat, it'd basically be jumping into a life raft, saving herself to the detriment of her universe.
Time Travel/Branch realities...confusion central.

I think, the only timeline not "screwed up" is the one Thor and Rocket went to. A relatively safe journey, in and out with the stone.
The other 2 trips ended up Loki disappearing with the Space stone, while the other no longer has Thanos/His Army/Gamora/Nebula in it's existence, as they died/got left in the future (different reality). The latter reality is probably the best potential reality, but it isn't the same one as "the real one".

Well, by the time Danvers got into the 1-on-1, Thanos has lost most of his armor (knocked off by a bunch of people, mostly Wanda), thrown away his double sword, AND is distracted with trying to put the gauntlet on. I'd still say if it was 1-on-1 like the Hulk in IW, it'd be a spectacular battle, but one that I'm not sure who would win.
But Wanda, yeah, if she can crush him to the point that the armor's being torn off him, from a safe distance AND not being fired on by a gigantic space ship, she probably would have killed him.

yeah, I plan on watching the Oprah special tonight, after finishing the 2 parts over the weekend.
I'll say I was never much of "MJ Music" fan. I could recognize the talent in the pop songs. But found the early accusations concerning, found the constant young boy companions strange, and found the initial stories of them sleeping in the same bed with MJ puzzling.
I'm about the same age as these 2 men. I was 13-14 when the 1st accusations happened in 93, and I had all those concerns then.
It only became more apparent as I got older, that I fully believed the stories were true.
A gripping documentary, and the bit of it that hit me the hardest, was the slow self-obliteration of Wade's family, brought on by MJ and Wade's enticed mother. From leaving the family behind in Australia, the Father's breakdown, and the Mother's lack of sense to understand what was really going on. That bit
Edit: Yeah "Wacko Jacko" came along around this time, if not before the 1st accusations. Was just on his basic demeanor and actions. The Theme park house, the Zoo, Bubbles the Chimpanzee, and the "Peter Pan" act with young child companions.

Yeah, a thing I've been wondering on for awhile: With the NK now beyond the wall, does he have the ability to just start raising the dead bodies of the realm (being he's past the magical barrier).
