GamingThreadShould we dismiss sexism, homophobia and transphobia in japanese games "because Japan"?
ReasonUser Banned (Duration Pending): Inflammatory whataboutism and trolling
If these issues are important to you than you should mention them. I don't know why japanese games are supposed to get a free pass. Is it only japanese games or does it also apply to korean or british games? Why do you single out Japan as if it's the only country dealing with homophobia and sexism?
It almost has something of fetishization.

Daily reminder that the japanese police system is just as corrupt and racist as anywhere else. It's not some kind of utopia and that a game that is cyberpunk inspired doesn't use this oppurtuniy to critique it is just as bad.

This stereotype is 100% confined to american culture and its surroundings. Outside of america this is just not a thing. So if you aren't even aware of it, making the connection between black people and watermelon doesn't even cross your mind. The whole world doesn't revolve around the US.
Educate them and save this condescending attitude for something else.

I still don't get it. It's just a free launcher. Why get so bend out of shape about it? Download the damn launcher and play the game. Big deal.
I must also add that it's quite amusing to basically see gamers complain about what is essentially just capitalism at work. Something they always considered to be absolutely fair.
